We went in on their Saturday hours, which are limited, but a blessing to bot have to take time off work. They do have a smaller staff available on Saturday, so the wait to see various personnel took some extra time. After filing out personal and medical history on a tablet (with a rather clunky interface), I was sent up to the second floor. There, in due course, x-rays were taken by a friendly, experienced tech. Then a waiting period in an exam room ensued with DH and I making small talk about having health challenges during the holidays. He's been to the main practice to see an ankle specialist in the past. That's how he knew about the urgent care part of the practice. When the doctor came in, she was very upbeat. She reported the good news that I don't have arthritis in the knee. She then did a physical exam on the swollen, tender joint. She said that an MRI would be the next step, along with physical therapy. She gave a thumbs up to the copper-infused compression sleeve that I'd ordered online. Compression, icing, and limited heating, plus a new type of anti-inflammatory were all recommendations she made. It took several days for the MRI referral to come through / approval from insurance. The practice kept me informed with texts, which I appreciate. After the MRI I will go back for a full diagnostic update. So far I've been pleased with the care and communication / follow up with this practice.

Not what I would do, skip out, but since I was charged $550 and the care was poor, I can understand their frustration. Btw, this is $550 is AFTER they tried to charge me over $1000! Not to mention, Dr. Cohen barely spends time with you. It is his "staff" and he comes in for a couple minutes! Wow! Not what he promotes on his website! Side note: After an MRI, he ordered, I received a call from 'Staff,' to make a follow up and it would be another $150 for my results! What?!, No thanks. Also after adding to my total, WITHOUT my consent, 'their supplements' (NOONE - Doctor or Staff) EVER talked to me about these supplements - what they were, how much they cost, what supplements I am already on or medications), who does that?! THIS office!! And Norma, their Billing Manager, same story as Candy. "I will send you the billing codes." And all kinds of reasons for not sending. (Will spare you on these reasons.) Never did! Also won't return voicemails or email. I wish I would have seen the similar complaints like mine, in the reviews, one in particular was charged $900 plus, so I guess my $550. is better than that. They tried though with the over $1000 bill. Unbelievable! Once again, stay far away from this office if you don't want to feel worse than when you came in!! And not receive proper billing, hence SO MUCH wrong with this office and their billing practices. I worked in healthcare and billing, so I am well aware of what and how typical medical office practices work.
