Knowledgeable and thorough. Very helpful in figuring out what was wrong with my boat. I highly recommend his service.

We bought the boat last year and it looks a runs great - except the outdrive. Kind of a tough decision, do we try to buy a new one or keep this old bird afloat. With the help of Daves team, we kept her afloat and are give her some new life. Daves Power Automotive & Marine where responsive, understanding of the situation and did everything to keep cost down. We appreciate all the work and work done in a timely manner. We are back to enjoying the water - Thank you.

Stoner Mechanics Warning:…read more A used boat and trailer I'd just bought came off the hitch and (when I tapped the brakes) slammed into the back of my truck ruining the tailgate. When I took it to Dave Powers, I told him,"Do what you have to -just make sure it doesn't happen again". I did note on that first (and subsequen) visits that Powers and most of his employees smelled like pot. Oh well, it's legal, I thought. Powers upsold me over $4,000.00 new trailer parts unrelated to attaching the trailer to the truck promising, "Il'll be like new when you get it back." That was late last fall, I got Covid (long time) then the rain and cold set in and the boat and trailer sat in my barn. Last week, as I was driving it for the first time after Power's "repair", the exact thing happened again. Another tailgate ruined. For the record, I've been attaching trailers to trucks, cars and tractors for about 50 years. It isn't rocket science. When I brought it back, Powers denied any possible responsibility - but did mention that after replacing everything else last fall - he hadn't touched, adjusted or replaced the the business end of the trailer - that attaches to the ball. He and most of his mechanics again smelled like a dirty bong. This time, he changed the hitch - but "forgot (3 times)" to fix the trailer wiring that had been pulled loose when his prior work gave way. Three more wasted round trips. Since most of us operate our machinery in an unimpaired state, you may consider the same criteria when handing your vehicle, boat or trailer over to "Cheech" Powers. BTW, he got one star because "zero" wasn't an option. Greg Smith
