We had taken our boat to a Vancouver Marinia twice to have our 2 motors worked on & they did not solve the problems & told us the motors were fine. On top of that, they left the floor of our boat filthy & grease marks that cannot be removed! Ugh! We took our boat to Steven's & they found a broken emergency shut off switch. I took an Alumaweld boat to Stevens as they are the local Alumaweld dealer for repair. I look back on that decision with regret and frustration. They took pictures of the damage to made up an estimate on June 25th. The employee doing the estimate gave me estimates for parts for an anchor nest that has a connector for my anchor and my electric motor. On the day I received the estimate I called him back and told him that it was NOT a "Lee Lock" and I got it with the boat from the dealer. I told him that if they gave me incompatible parts then they need to give me an anchor holder too that IS compatible. He said it was the exact same part. So Stevens proceeded to order parts that took months to get. Covid, I get it. But then I get a call to pick up my boat at 5:00 pm on friday Aug 20. I told him I could not make there before they closed with traffic so I would be in first thing on Sat. I showed up to a dark building. Covid outbreak, not their fault. But someone there let me into the yard so I went to inspect my boat. Clearly not the correct anchor mount, no wiring, and other parts are not there. And I brought my anchor nest which has two holes to mount which will not fit in this one pin connector. See attached picture with the 'EXACT SAME PART'. My boat was not ready for 'PICKUP'. Covid had NOTHING to do with this mistake, this a BAD BUSINESS PROCESS. Calling for me to pickup with it not being complete or even CLOSE to complete. I left message with Stevens Marine Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. I finally spoke to the service manager on Weds and he acknowledge that they messed up. They ordered the wrong part (obviously, I had shown others and sent him a picture of the new anchor nest with the OLD one sitting beside it in my boat in their yard). He ordered the parts from the other dealer. This was two and 1/2 months late though, any they knew it because I had told them it was the wrong part. After two more weeks I call back and they say they have the part and will assemble, but the employee I dealt with told me they were still waiting on the Lee Lock mounting bracket for my electric bow mount. Wow, epic failure there. I immediately drove in to get the boat however it was. The service manager was very helpful, but parts were still missing and they were just putting everything on including wiring (two weeks after I was told it was ready and to pick it up). They did offer to get the missing parts (Pins for mount and a roller) and mail them to me. I paid them and took my boat and frustrations home. 1 month after I have the boat at home I still do not have the PINS. I called in to check, and the employee told me it was mailed to me already. So when I asked "when and where" it was mailed he would not answer. So I asked for the service manager again. A bit of a mix-up, but frankly the ENTIRE process was a bit of a mix-up. He told the employee to get 1 pin and mail it. It was NOT in the mail, it was in their shop still and he was able to open and inspect this package that was supposedly already mailed to me. Clearly it had not been mailed to me as they said. And now as I write this, once again I have been told that it is taken care of. The service manager told me they have had them shipped from the other dealer directly to me. I trust but will have to verify that this is true. My experience with Stevens Marine was frustrating and quite a lesson. And to top it off, the ALUMAWELD dealer who fixed my ALUMAWELD boat hull told me there is no warranty on the hull work they were paid for. If it leaks, the service manager says I am supposed to call the company that did the work.... But I didn't pay anyone except Stevens Marine. I don't know who this third party is and didn't have ANYTHING to do with any 3rd party contractor THEY hired to do the work. How could I contact them? Covid is a big problem for everyone, and it seriously impacts the supply chain. But ordering the wrong parts even after being told they are wrong and not looking into getting the work done that you say you have done is absolutely not covid related. If I need help again, I will drive to Woodland WA to the other Alumaweld boat dealership. This is DEFINITELY the last Alumaweld I will own. This is the worst place ever to take your boat to get any work done! My advice to you is do not use stevens marine! We purchased a brand new motor. 14 thousand dollars and it doesn't work at all they destroyed the wiring, they spliced the fuel line not coast guard approved at all. They drained my battery. They did not put on the prop we requested. Was full of salesman excuses!!! Fuel line is nearly 8$ a foot and now we gotta replace it. We just purchased a new fuel ball that was completely removed and we never got it back!!! They put the wrong motor on another guys boat when we were there. He was pissed! They said the motor requires a 1000 Amp battery. We read the intire pamphlets for the motor​ it doesn't say that at all. The customer service sucks! They did not stay in touch after we left our boat there for the work! They did not honor the vet discount only gave a discount on a piece they left off in the installation process which we were charged an extra 90$ for! And after reading other reviews of boats this place screwed up the owner takes no accountability in the shit work they provided and only made excuses like a salesman! Now instead of going fishing on opening day July 1st. Our intire trip is ruined and my hubby has to spend the time repairing and installing our new boat motor that was done incorrectly! I just received my brand new Alumaweld Stryker X220. My salesman Nelson was awesome to work with. The price was excellent and they kept me in the loop during the build. This place is super unprofessional. First off ill start with the parts/service guy which tried to feed me some Bs about my motor not having a water and fuel separator filter. Which they were suppose to change when they had my boat. Turns out it does have one and I have to change it myself now. Then there bringing my boat out and the back 2 tires are locked up and there dragging it across the parking lot cause there not smart enough to turn the parking brake off. Which I showed them when I dropped the boat off because they did the exact same thing when it was dropped off. Then the guy just looks at me like I'm an idiot when I tell him about it and shrugs his shoulders and drives off. Then I'm checking everything before I drive off and there's grease on the motor cowling and on the back of the boat with some metal shavings in it. Which I point out to some tall employee as he's walking which he can care less and keeps walking to go get a different customers boat. Buy an 80,000 boat to have a dealer treat it like shit. I purchased a brand new 150 HP Mercury outboard from this dealer. I pointed out damage before the motor was even shipped to my sales person. I was lied to on two separate occasions on what the damage really was. First it was dust, then it was the reflection of the building. The motor was shipped anyway. Damage to the top cowl and lower cowl. You cannot convince me that nobody saw the extremely obvious damage on this brand new black outboard motor. I contacted the sales manager Eric and pointed these things out. He claims the motor was not damaged before it left, however I've conveniently attached that photo taken before it left in this review! (See Facebook review or Google review for images) Very obvious damage to lower cowl and scratches on the top cowl. $3350 in damages on this motor sold to me brand new, and they refuse to pay for it knowing full well it was damaged before it was shipped. I'd give this 0 stars if I could. Dishonest business who lies through their teeth with the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Do yourself a favor and do not spend money here because they could care less if you did. read more

If there was a zero for stars I would have rated a zero. All of my issues have been with the Milwaukee Stevens Marine Store. We traded in a boat and got a used Super V alumaweld sled with a 200 hp merc and bought a new 9.9 merc kicker. As this was about 4 years ago I don't remember all the details but I do remember having to bring the boat back 3 times which was 200 mi round trip for them to repair things they said had already been done. Last year be traded in this boat, which we actually let them try to sell on consignment for 2 mo. They never even posted it on their website. They just let it sit. Buoy 10 was opening and we wanted the bigger, better used boat so we accepted their trade in price. Again after getting this boat in the water I had to turn around the next day and go back to Stevens. This time I went to the Tigard store. They were supposed to have serviced the boat, put in new fuel lines and filter, gave us a fish finder that didn't fit the fitting for the boat and change out the swivels for the four seats that were rusted. They gave me a brand new fish finder, new seat swivel, new line and fuel filter. Pleasantly surprised. Our water pump went out on our big motor. Luckily my husband is mechanical and can fix this. He got the parts and was going to fix the water pump but when he attempted to take the lower unit off it wouldn't budge. Apparently it has never been serviced so if they service it right before we bought it should it not have come right off? We are now having to purchase a new motor but we will nit be return to Stevens Marine ever again! We have used all social media, word of mouth and spread the word that Stevens Marine doesn't deserve to get anyone's business. They what want you to believe but they don't follow through. read more

BUYER BEWARE: Stevens Marine sold me a brand new LEMON defective motor. I picked up a brand new 2020 150L on Tuesday 8/11/2020 ~$15K. On the first trip out it runs weird, starts blaring alarms, and kicks out multiple error codes. Due to the fact that motor failed first trip out 24 hours after I brought it home I requested a refund. I needed a new trailer (for me) for my boat. I saw a great trailer that might just work on their website. So I contacted Nelson at Stevens Marine. He made several trips out to their upper lot and measured the trailer before I made the 45 minute trip to their showroom. When I arrived I was shown the trailer and we agreed on a final price. Nelson and the whole Steven's Marine team where by far the best marine shop I have encountered in the Portland area. I needed a few other things so we purchased them as well. Called Stevens Marine today inquiring about a New Mercury 25hp ELHPT 20" (electric start and Power tilt) and I was told by the salesman that they had a blowout sale on them and had one left for $3650.00, he said over $1000.00 off list!!! I asked him again if it was a ELHPT and he said yes. I drove over an hour one way to buy it and when getting there I saw that it wasn't Power Tilt yet the sign on the motor stated ELHPT $3650.00!!! They said they were sorry but the motor was missed tagged and the 25hp ELHPT was $4700.00 plus. They would reduce the new one 10% but not to the advertised price...................... Not sure why their Tigard location is not listed but this review is for that location: I called 04/25/19 and spoke with Bruce in the parts dept to see if they had 2 parts in stock for my Volvo Penta, he abruptly told me he would have to call me back. I gave him the information he needed and thanked him. 24 hours later and no call back now so I thought I would just go in since they are close to me even though I was sort of choked that they hadn't called back. So I walk in on 04/26/19 and am hardly even greeted by this guy in parts( wait it gets better), I tell him what motor I have and serial number and ask for a water pump kit and fuel filter. To my surprise he responds "do you have the part numbers?" To which I replied " uh NO, that's your job". So this guy Taylor fumbles through the order gathers the parts and says " $98.32"! Yes that's it, I paid and left without even a thanks. This place is a joke and I'll never return there, I wanted to support local vs buying online ( which by the way would have been $40.00 cheaper) but after these 2 failed transactions... forget it. read more

I went to both the Tigard location and the Clackamas location and felt I was mistreated both times. The Tigard location was unfriendly and unwilling to explain anything outside of "here's your invoice". I called back and let them know that the original reason why I brought the boat in was not fixed two days later. The man on the other line said well if you want to bring it in and wait two weeks we can try to look at it. The problem went unfixed after a 700 dollar bill. The clackamas location really screwed me. I called asking if they could install a trolling motor on my boat if i bought one. they said yes and then proceeded to tell me they had one for a great deal that a customer had left. this trolling motor had all the features i could ever want, including more! this trolling motor allegedly had spot lock, auto deploy, and a remote fob to control. I went and picked up my boat. the person who told me this amazing trolling motor had all of these features happened to be sick. I went and looked at my boat and the trolling motor had none of the features that i was told it would have. when i asked the manager what could be done he said nothing. Because i chose to go with this particular trolling motor I had to install a new charging system in my boat and buy another battery. Because I was lied too, i had to spend an additional $500 dollars. when I called back the next week and asked to speak with the person who lied, i got his voicemail and asked that he called me back. he never did. read more

I was happy with my boat purchase from Steven's Marine but since then I've been blown away by the lack of professionalism in the service area. The boat I bought had twin outboards and shortly after purchase I had water in my fuel. When troubleshooting that issue I realized that my boat on had a single fuel filter/water separator. I reached out to Steven's and we decided I would benefit from adding a second fuel pick up, fuel line and filter separator so both motors had there own. During the off season I drove my boat the nearly 200 miles and had this done. My first trip out after the service was done was our family vacation to Lake Roosevelt, just hours into our trip my boat was over taken by the smell of gasoline.Also the motor attached to the fuel line Steven's added was surging. I began troubleshooting and couldn't find the source. I called Steven's and worked with service on the phone and together we couldn't find the source. So My 10 day trip ended on day 2 and I was headed to Steven's again. Steven's told me this should be a quick repair and I'd be able to take the boat the next day. The next day was a Saturday so I called near the end of the day and was told it was a fuel pump. I questioned how a fuel pump on a outboard would spray raw fuel in my bilge. I was sent back to Tacoma without my boat. 3 weeks later I get a call and I was right it wasn't a fuel pump it was the fuel line installed by Steven's had a slice in it back by the fuel tank. I questioned why I had to miss all my summer trips 3 of them now because Steven's didn't check its work. To find this issue Steven's claimed they had to take the entire floor out of my boat. So let's say I was appalled when I received an email from Eric Pedersen basically blaming me for missing all this time using my boat. The service manager actually claims I should have been more educated and repaired there screw up myself on the water. Mind you it took his professional mechanics 3 weeks and replacement of parts not even broken to figure this out. I will attach a copy of his email text below. Hello Terry, Unfortunately most issues are preventable being a fireman I am sure you see this time and again.  That being said human hands assemble these products and all others like them.  It is a constant effort to improve and get better.  Again I am sorry for your down time, owning varying degrees of equipment I understand the disappointment when mechanical items stop working.  That being said I have also invested time into personally rectifying issues in areas where obtaining service is not possible, including the issues of a ruptured fuel tank, line and other trip halting problems most in an offshore setting.  I believe that it is important to invest in understanding of ones equipment, this has saved me many times in the unpredictable offshore environment.  In this instance once it was found it was a rather simple fix, I would hope when detected any boat owner would investigate its source.  It is always easier to identify a problem when it is being experienced. read more

I contacted Steven's Marine via e-mail a couple times before getting a response.Shane replied and I explained how poorly we were treated back in 92 while out looking for a boat.Almost completely ignored and while leaving i noticed a SmokerCraft Fazer on sale.We went back inside and bought the boat from a bored taciturn so called salesman.I was back in the market looking for 15' SmokerCraft Alaskan or Boat like the Fazer.I explained to Shane how we were treated and he assured me he would contact me with he would give me 2-3 days lead time when a used boat came up.I found a boat posted to Craigslist for sale there.He said there was already a deposit on it.He sent me an email the night before because texting is sooo hard I guess.So much for the 2-3 days.His excuse was most salespeople would not have even contacted me. I have a 200 hp Mercury pump on my boat and I noticed it wasn't getting out of the hole as quick as i would like. They quickly told me that i had a small pump on my motor and that the larger pump would solve my problems. I brought my boat in to them, they put the new pump on and everything is perfecy now. I am severely disappointed in Stevens Marine's customer service. My family has bought our last 3 boats from them over the course of 14years. The last boat my family bought from them has had a problem with the main engine since it was purchased and was taken in to have to problem solved and Stevens Marine said there was nothing wrong with the main engine. After speaking with Mercury Marine about the problem they said there was never any records of the engine ever being worked on. My dad decided to take the boat to another shop to have them look at it and they found the problem that Stevens couldn't find over a 3 year period. Since Stevens Marine evidently doesn't keep records of boats being worked on for some odd reason they are basically now telling us it's our problem since we waited 3 years to have this problem fixed even though the boat had been in their shop at least twice a year for 3 years for the same exact problem. So now we have to pay out of pocket for a part that Stevens should have replaced 3 years ago under warranty. Needless to say we will not be recommending anyone to buy a boat from this shady business and to go else where for their next boat purchase or repair work. read more
