However, she recently moved to Santa Clarita to be closer to us and we took her to this office today. According to her, this is the nicest, most professional and friendly office staff with all the up-to date equipment. Her hearing aid stopped working. It was purchased at a different audiology department. Audiology Associates sent the hearing aid out for repairs and contacted the previous business where it was purchased to get the most up to date records. The staff communicated regularly with my mother-in-law and kept her informed during the entire process. The hearing aid was fixed a week sooner than expected. It was very easy to make the appointments. Once the new settings were dialed in they told her she could come in any time without an appointment for any type of adjustments. I can't say enough about how wonderful it is to work with such a professional and friendly business.

    I was referred to this office because the people who had last done my hearing test stopped doing…read morethem in-office. I've had a number of hearing tests over the years, with a number of different groups, and I know what is complex about the issue I'm dealing with... and yet, when the receptionist called to schedule me, and I asked to make sure they were going to do the right kind of testing I needed, she was annoyed that I asked questions, explained that she couldn't know the answers, refused to let me talk to anyone else, and said if I needed to ask questions I might be able to either ask my ENT (who was merely the person who referred me... if I refer you to a plumber, the plumber doesn't demand you talk to me to answer questions about their job) or I might (might) be able to ask questions of the audiologist when I showed up... but, why would I go there and waste everyone's time if they aren't even in a position to do the right kind of test? Yes: I was speaking with a receptionist; but, normally, the receptionist will either know some basics about the office or be able to refer quick questions to a tech. The combination of these factors made me feel like I was going to get railroaded into paying for a bunch of useless effort that wouldn't help. Having now gone through the negative reviews on Yelp, this seems to be consistent now (all of the positive reviews are pre-2020, and every single of the reviews since are 1 star, complaining about being railroaded due to bad information).

They told us that of course they take Anthem Blue Cross, but we discovered they are OUT of network. Of course they know that and make you sign a form that you pay everything the insurance does not. Our insurance said that we only owed $1,004, based in the fair cost if the aids, but Hearing Services overcharged on their hearing aids so that we were billed $2,984! Buyer beware!! They will lie to you about what insurance they are affiliated with and then charge you three months later for three times the price! So sad to see this unethical practice.

Recently I've had a hard time understanding the high pitched voices of my neighbor's children. In just a few minutes Brian cleaned and adjusted the electronics to sharpen sounds, but still keep my comfortable. He urged me to check in with him if I needed further adjustments and to come back for another cleaning in about 6 months. A very positive experience! Thanks!

In the audiologist's office, the audiologist said my insurance did not pay. I continued as I had the erroneous misunderstanding that my insurance did not cover hearing aides. Audiologist was stating fact, that my insurance would not pay him but did not explain it was because he was out of network. I paid $4000 and got the hearing aides. Coincidentally, I received my insurance renewal information for 2019 and read it carefully as usual. I saw that it did cover hearing aides. I called My and told that to the receptionist. Then, I went in and she called my insurance in my presence as they proceeded to review my policy and possible coverage. Utlimately, my insurance said they would not pay My because they were out of network. I returned my new hearing aides to them with the intention now that I understood to go to a covered audiologist. The receptionist suggested that I should keep the hearing aides the allowed days as she pushed them toward me, and she said I could return them at the deadline to get my $4000 refund. I pushed them back toward her, saying I wanted my refund now. She explained my refund would be sent to me by the administration, and it was. My new hearing aides from a network provider are great and only cost me a couple hundred out of pocket instead of $4000. Whew! G Valladolid, Ojai CA Ojai CA
