They have public skates for a low fee ($0 to about $4), shinny for all different age groups, and lessons. You can register your spot online which is highly recommended if you're going to do one of the popular times for shinny. There was a good amount of parking even during the busier public skate at 8pm. I was surprised to see electric vehicle chargers there. The inside was clean and bright. The floors were all lined with skate friendly flooring. There were 4 change rooms and a bench outside the rink for you to put your skates on. The skate was well run. There was an area with pylons blocked off from the blue line for toddlers who were learning how to skate. The rest of the rink was for the public. There was music being played over speakers which made it a pleasant experience. There were also a few skate patrol personnel that were checking up on folks that had fallen and trying to control skaters that were going the wrong way or skating dangerously. The skate was listed as being from 7-8pm but we were asked to leave the ice 10 minutes before 8pm, probably to resurface the ice for the next group. Make sure to get there early so you get the max amount of skate time in!

The arena was a little out of the way for me as I don't normally go to Hamilton. I usually go to Toronto for concerts and other events (for context). Everything was well organized. Entering and finding my seat was fine. Lines were long which typical for concerts and large events.

It was an uneventful QEW drive to/from Hamilton, which is unusual. I lucked out on street parking because someone pulled out of a spot 100 metres from the stadium. I happened to be there to add a loonie to the meter since there was time remaining and paid parking ends at 6 p.m. Like all sporting venues during an event, hordes of fans, a beehive of activity from lineups for washrooms, alcohol, snacks or memorabilia, to just trying to find your seats. It's all good! Too bad lady luck didn't smile for the home team this evening. Attendance logged in at 8,841. Note to all: no outside drinks or food allowed upon entry.

Rinks 3 and 4 are all summer ice. But that is different for 1 and 2, to assist lacrosse. It's almost like 2 different arenas 3,4 then 1,2.

As a box lacrosse arena, it gets the job done, but it would be nice if the rink had turf. Otherwise, it was a good venue, the sightlines were good and concessions were good as well with reasonable prices. Admission ($10) was a good price for an evening of entertainment, and it was an enjoyable way to spend the evening. I look forward to coming back for another game next season.

I'll start off by mentioning that we do have the Oculus at home, so me and my kids have used the headset and controls before. My kids are 6yo and 8yo and are under the recommended age of 10yr, but both fared well at this arena. The headset was a bit big, but Shawn (owner of this Burlington location) recommended that they bring a toque to help make it fit better. You do have to book a time slot for your experience and I hear that their weekends can fill up pretty quickly. We got to the complex at our scheduled time (it is housed within this plaza that offers swimming, dancing, coding classes) and after leaving our things in the locker, we were brought in a LED-lit room to begin our orientation. You do have to pay attention as the video also gives you instructions on the games that you'll be playing. Our first game was Engineerium. This game does not require use of the Controller. All you need to do is follow the path. The stepping stones are constantly moving and some parts make it look as if you're walking upside down! The headset is for you to communicate with your teammates and for the staff to guide you if you get stuck. I really enjoyed this quick 15m game. Our next 30m game was Singularity. You do need the Controller for this game and it is quick a big piece of equipment that you need to keep tight to your body the entire time. I found it tiring to be constantly eliminating robots and drones, but then again, I'm not a gamer. It was a fun experience for the entire family and my 6yo is already asking when we can go back. Shawn, the owner, was very helpful and answered questions that I had before going in via Instagram. The staff were friendly and helpful and the arena was very clean (no shoes allowed). I highly recommend this for a group outing, 10/10 must try!!

Before you arrive, you need to sign a waiver since it involves a lot of physical activity. Then when you sign in you are giving a wristband to play the games and a wristband for a locker if needed. The building is a bunch of separate rooms and each room has a different set up which holds a few different types of games that are possible to be played. You check into a room by tapping your wristband at the front of it. And then get to select which game you'd like to play on a screen outside the room. The people playing inside will be notified to leave the room once their current level is completed (whether successfully or not). The set up is quite well done and you never feel like you're waiting a long time for a room or getting kicked out often of the rooms you're playing in. I felt like a kid again, running around playing all kinds of fun, cooperative games. And as I looked around I noticed people of all ages were there. Good ol' family fun. I will be back again!

I was there for an hour or so with a group from work and we had a great time! I'm the oldest in the…read moregroup at 63, and having had two knee replacements and a need of shoulder surgery, a few of the activities were strenuous, but nothing was impossible and it was all fun. You can play games competing as individuals with your own scores and ranks or you can compete as a team in each of the activities. We did a little bit of both and I could see how either approach would work just fine.
