There's a lot here if you're willing to dig through! There's a vintage area with tons of old, vintage papers, photographs, sheet music, postcards, photo albums, negatives, etc. Loads of scrap fabric and remnants, yarn, embroidery floss, notions, scrap paper, scrapbooking materials, stickers, stencils, even industrial supplies like foam scraps, and household materials like pill bottles (empty of course), lids, jars, storage containers, craft kits, old calendars, big bins of wine corks, pens, etc. They have a HUGE selection of old National Geographic issues, some going back as far as the 1930s. Perfect for collages or collecting. They also have a few machines like scales, microscopes, sewing machines, etc. As well as a few tools, wood and metal working items, just bits and bobs of tons of things to sort through. It changes all the time so stop in regularly to see what they get in! And the best part? It's all SO cheap and keeps all these things out of landfills (56K lbs just last year)! Upcycling FTW! Some things are in better condition than others but if you're the creative type you will be inspired by all you can find here. And since things are so affordable you can really take risks and noodle around without worrying about wasting your supplies. Want more inspo? They included a metal saw tooth hanger that I guess I'm suppose to hammer in but that could crack the wooden frame or glass!! It was very expensive $31.07 and then they charged me a $13.50 shipping fee UPS ground. So for a $44.57 frame I would expect it to have nice fitted corners and ready to hang. Maybe they could ask how you want to hang it or not........

My latest visit produced several great finds including 50% off lights and other Christmas decor. I bought 4 sets of lights! I'm a kid again at Michael's during the holiday season! Cinnamon scented pine cones, angel lights, Christmas lights, santa earrings, wreaths, etc. Check out the clever clothes pin clips and sturdy used to hang my Christmas cards this year. Also found a beautiful wreath (& the hook) to hang it on our front door - HALF OFF! Can you tell Michael's has, once again, warmed my holiday spirit heart. I suggest avoiding the busiest days - Saturdays & Friday nights. Especially now with limited staff due to COVID. My only con - it was super busy with too few cashiers (2) and a long long line waiting.

The lady who helped me find the correct matts was very helpful, but I was totally surprised when she said it probably wouldn't be cut until the next day since she was working by herself. Okay, no problem, I can come back tomorrow to pick it up, right? Wrong! I have called every day since, and it still has not been cut. Either no one is working, or they don't come in until 5 o'clock, or they went home sick, or they say maybe tomorrow, they will have someone call me. I heard that twice now, and not once has my phone rang. I strongly suggest going elsewhere. When they open today, I will be calling to see if it is finished. If not, they should refund my money so I can go to their competitor and get it done. It is where I should have gone to begin with. I cannot attach a picture since I have not received the product.
