During this entire process Chris (and his workers) were exemplary. He knows Davis regulations and building codes like the back of his hand, clearly presents his prices, and helped us navigate many tricky issues. For example, upon doing our electrical work it was discovered that almost none of our outlets were grounded, presenting a major fire-hazard. Chris worked with us to replace these at a minimal charge. He also took our many questions in stride and was on-site himself almost every day. We are so happy we went with Chris. I would strongly recommend him whether you are planning a large job like ours or a simple remodel (i.e. only a kitchen or only a bathroom, etc.).

Lauren's vision and artistic approach to the project led to what seems in retrospect to a relatively simple solution that made our kitchen remodel into so much more. Lauren re-oriented our kitchen within the same space, adding a mere 27 additional square feet, but in so doing completely transformed our home, integrating the outdoor space with the kitchen and living area and allowing natural light to connect the spaces in a way that makes our home feel entirely new. Over the course of the project, we watched Lauren invest his time and attention to every step in the journey, turning the unexpected twists and turns of a remodel into added value. After a quick Yelp search, we came across Elite Custom Cabinetry and Fidel was able to see what was already done and listened to what I wanted to do. He quickly understood what was needed, listened for any design input, even provided some options with regards to trim styles to be installed in between each bookcase. On the day of installation, just a few hours went by and the crown molding, various pieces of trim, and nearly perfectly matching baseboards were installed. Lots of little bits here and there were considered to truely give the appearance of a built-in library. The work was perfect, especially given where the starting line was.
