During this entire process Chris (and his workers) were exemplary. He knows Davis regulations and building codes like the back of his hand, clearly presents his prices, and helped us navigate many tricky issues. For example, upon doing our electrical work it was discovered that almost none of our outlets were grounded, presenting a major fire-hazard. Chris worked with us to replace these at a minimal charge. He also took our many questions in stride and was on-site himself almost every day. We are so happy we went with Chris. I would strongly recommend him whether you are planning a large job like ours or a simple remodel (i.e. only a kitchen or only a bathroom, etc.).

I was so worried about the weight of this item but he made sure it was secure, answered all my questions, and put my mind at ease. It looks perfect. I called Walter this morning because my front porch light went out yesterday evening. I mentioned in my voicemail I was concerned because it left my front yard so dark at night! He immediately responded and fit me into his busy schedule. When he arrived he found that a new fixture was all that was necessary. All wiring was fine. Walter even went to local hardware store to purchase the necessary replacement fixture!! Thank you Walter!! I do not hesitate in recommending Walter and plan on using his services in near future to refurbish a storage shed and front porch. Thank you Walter!

He showed up early, got straight to work, and the whole job took about 2 hours. The service was professional and efficient from start to finish. Solid workmanship, great communication, and someone I would feel comfortable hiring again and recommending to others.

This review reflects our personal observations and what occurred on the property The company was hired approximately three months ago. In our experience, they left the property in dangerous conditions, left trash and beer cans on the property, failed to complete the job, and someone was reportedly sent to the emergency room following the conditions left behind. They also removed the carport lighting and did not reinstall it. During a storm, the area was dark and wet, and the mother of my disabled child fell because there was no lighting in the carport. We also observed what we believed to be hazardous materials being disposed of in our dumpsters.

I wish I could give him five stars for the craftsmanship, our hardwood came out looking great!…read more However, with that said, I agree with the long review below, not sure about his unlicensed contractor, however, our project came out to be $4000 above quoted price. This is a very big deal, if we did not have the budget, we would not have been able to pay. He always picks up his phone, however not an efficient communicator. The only reason I am not making a huge deal, is because the final price came out to be around the same amount, maybe just a few hundred higher, and then our other quotes we were given. He did the carpet in our house as well. I did not experience missed appointments with him, as others have. He always showed up early, or on time to all of the appointments we had with him. Again, was very easy to get a hold of. I really wish he had quoted me correctly, he forgot a lot of things (cost to remove the old floor, concrete costs, various other labor costs.). I don't feel he is trying to cheat us, mostly disorganized. If you are like us, and got a too good to be true quote from Tom, make sure you ask him to break everything down, make sure he didn't forget thousands of dollars worth of labor. That's exactly what happened to us. Overall happy with our floor, not so much with this business.

He is also dependable and prompt: if he's tied up (in line at Home Depot, for example) he'll text you. Add to all of this the fact that Addison is thoughtful, pleasant and polite to be around AND that he's bonded, insured AND is properly masked... Wow! We have a deck and our kitchen next on our list. BTW: if he commits to a job then he will follow thru. We had 4 other carpenters say they'd do work for us, and then started making excuses or even avoided our calls. If he's so great, then why only 4 stars? It's a trick. Sometimes, in the beginning of a person's history with Yelp, "they" disbelieve 5 star ratings. ( Take a look at the 2 recommendations already turned in for Addison. Nothing wrong with them, except they're 5 stars.) I've had this experience with Yelp in other cases. Addison is a 5 star person, offering 5 star service.

I didn't have the right size screws for the handle installation, but he was able to make a quick hardware store run, returned promptly, and completed the job in no time...I honestly was a bit nervous that some of the handles might not be level because he was able to do the work so quickly, but to my surprise, they all appear level and look and function great! I'm so glad with how this little change upgraded old cabinets (which we will refinish soon). I'm also glad that he was able to repair the chipped cabinet; you can hardly tell that it was ever damaged... I certainly recommend Addison's work and will likely call him back for other small jobs.
