Our price was far less than other estimates, and when they were done they actually did more and charged us a little less than the estimate because of some minor delays. They also got out and did it very soon after we told them we wanted their services. Many others had long waits before they could get to our job. They did additional services like a nicer than expected cleanup and addition of pine straw where they had to bring their machines and people between the houses. They got us pine bark where they had dug in to the ground and it was bare. They also did several French drains we didn't expect with the estimate. The reason others didn't want the job was because it is very narrow between the houses. They said they couldn't get their equipment through. Even the demo required a lot of manual labor to remove concrete blocks from the prior retaining wall and blocks from the prior patio because of the narrow area between the homes. Paul's crew found a way instead of a way out of taking on the job. It was hard work, and they did it quickly and efficiently. Our patio looks fantastic and the wall is perfect. He let me know the morning of when he was on his way and progress getting here (his commute was 90 minutes away). I got a quote for material and he offered to call and get a better price and then I called in to pay for it. What a kind gesture! He and his crew were timely and efficient. Eric explained the process and showed us what he was going to do. When he ran out of material, he got more and when he charged us for the material and trip, he didn't price gouge. He showed us the receipt for the additional materials and that is what we paid. We couldn't be more happy with job and Eric's professionalism. I would like to give Mike a Five Star review because he was very nice and gave us a reasonable…read moreprice but, I can not. The crew showed up later than he informed me on the first day. The second day they came back and poured the concrete once again they were late and really rushing to get the site ready for the pour @1pm. They did work well into the evening. Their saw broke, they hadn't cleared all the old cement out, they still needed to remove large pieces (cut) from the area. They left their mess around to include their trash, drink containers, cans, old gloves, piles of broken up concrete, boards and supplies to include tools. Their contract states they will clean up at the end of each day, never happened. Two times they promised to come back to clean up but, failed to return. My yard and driveway were a mess for one week. The neighbors even stopped to look at the mess and just shook their heads. I found three nails left behind in the driveway, that was bad enough but, sadly I missed a fourth nail and was lucky enough to find it in my car tire, flat, lots of fun. The work seems to be fine, it's just the failure to complete the job on time and following the contract. Contract also stated they would compress the ground and reinforce with wire mesh, this wasn't done.

He keeps saying he will finish it but never follow up. I referred him to two friends and unfortunately, he's good at getting about 98% of the work done but terrible at finishing the job. They can't seem to get a hold of Mario to come back also. I will probably have to finish the chimney cap on my fireplace myself unfortunately. Nice guy but sometimes takes on more then he can handle. If you hire him just make sure you don't pay in full unless the work is complete or you will never see Mario again.
