UPDATED REVIEW (9/23/11)…read more Hello again all... I am back to report on my experience! So far, I have had four laser hair removal treatments, and they have all been as wonderful as the first. As a matter of fact after my first treatment, I extended my bikini line area to a half Brazilian and have been doing that ever since. I am already considering another additional area on the back of my neck. I have always been too self conscious to wear my hair in a ponytail because I have such a bad hairline on the back of my neck. Anyway, as for the Brazilian area, I've had NOT ONE ingrown hair since I began these treatments months ago!!!!!! I've had almost no regrowth, besides a few (really- like 8) strands of hair in random places down there- but that is normal since your hair grows in cycles. Those hairs were dormant until now, but they will get the 'zap' during my next treatment. I've also allowed a little extra time pass between appointments just to make sure there was no regrowth and there wasn't. This treatment truly works. My only suggestion is to avoid going for laser treatment within the few days before your period. Apparently your body is MUCH more sensitive then, and it may not be as comfortable. It wasn't the worst, but it was better all the other times. This was the absolute BEST decision of my life and worth every last cent. I do not have to shave anymore...ever!! My "lower-lady area" requires no maintenance now. Ladies... did you hear that?!?! Go to New York Laser and sit down with Ofra. She charged me ~650 dollars (??? Never had a 650 dollar facial before ??) for a facial that left my skin in the worst condition of my life, and still 5 months later, I have the worst cystic acne and so much fungal acne because of her treatment that I can't seem to get rid of. She just tried to take as much money from me as possible, and refused to give me more than 100 dollars back for ruining my skin. DO NOT come here. You're better off at a dermatologist who actually understands how to treat acne and different skin conditions, and doesn't try to just shove random products down your throat that only damage your skin barrier and are not tailored to suit your individual skin needs and only help her get the most money she can. Even before this nightmare facial she gave me, I had used her products that she had recommended, and while it was mostly fine since my face had already been pretty clear, her products left my skin burning for months. When I asked her what to do about it or if she had any other products to recommend, she said the pain and burning was normal and fine and to keep using it. But it made my face red for months, and no normal dermatologist would recommend you continue to use products that burn or make the face red. She does not care at all about what happens, she's just trying to take your money. Completely awful service. Do not come here. Need to edit this post because the owner sent me a very gaslighting message that further proves she does not understand how skincare works. She claims that there was no way a facial could ruin your skin. But my dermatologist a week later, and everyone in my life, saw how severely damaged my skin barrier was right after this treatment and months later. It was not normal for a facial. I never in my life had this amount of fungal and cystic acne that I'm still trying to clear to this day. Any dermatologist can tell you that it takes MONTHS to clear and heal your skin after getting a treatment that damages your skin barrier enough to cause a severe amount of fungal and cystic acne, but she didn't seem to understand how a treatment could do that, which is shocking, if you are supposed to understand how to treat and manage the skin??? Unacceptable behavior from the owner.
