You can now walk from Eastvale Community Park at Hamner through River Walk Park and down to Archibald, a total round trip of 5.2 miles. Unfortunately, there has been so many kids out there racing E-bikes during the past year it is getting increasingly difficult to safely take a walk with my dog along this trail. Recently JCSD has put up 20 miles per hour speed limit signs that say yield to pedestrians and some mirrors to help see around sharp turns. 20 mile per hour speed limit might be an okay speed limit on the straight parts of the trail, but 20 miles per hour isn't at all safe around the sharp turns. I have had to jump in the bushes and pull my dog off the trail several times from E-bikes racing around a curve in the trail.

The reviews and pictures on this park caught my eye. It was more than I had hoped for especially because I've given up hiking to train my dog and lately I've been missing my hikes. This park gave me a bit of what I have been missing. Peaceful surroundings, trees, a dirt path, space, and minimal distractions. The pup and I got to play and train and we both left feeling super satisfied. I did notice a small blue tent in the park. Not sure if it was occupied. I wasn't too concerned because I had my dog. A discarded syringe cap was also found near a bench. Otherwise, the park was well-manicured, clean, and serene. I look forward to returning!

Restrooms do not have soap, paper towels, or hand dryers. I carry little soap strips in my purse so hands get clean, but there is no place to dry them. Toilets are metal so very cold. Be warned! But the restrooms seem clean. There are a couple of unisex/handicap restrooms that I would prefer to use for privacy and they claim to have changing stations, but every time I have been here these have been locked. I'm not sure why. During the week the park is PACKED with kids once the neighboring school lets out. Overall not a bad park for a little picnic and some playtime.

She was such a joy, full of knowledge and information. I liked how Sue spoke to the children and kept them in line and engaging at the same time. She not only used big vocabulary but also explained it for the kids and myself to understand. The hike was easy for 6 -7 year old age group. , the kids seem to enjoy themselves . Just make sure to wear long pants. Many of the walking path had poisonous hemlock, and another plant that also is itchy to the skin.. ( can't think of the name ) .. Also don't keep valuables in your car as I have noticed recent car break ins. I used to walk along the bike trail or walk on the horse trail. It branches away to other trails. Be on the lookout mid afternoon there are a ton of coyotes. This place used to be one of my favorite places to visit in Riverside. It's so scenic and beautiful!
