The older kids were so sweet and friendly to her, and would stop the spinning area for her to get on and off and would go slow when she was on. Unlike our AYSO experience, which required me--a decidedly not-soccer-talented lifelong baseball player dad-- to referee games and coach teams, the only thing I have to do for this team is write checks, drive to various parks and fields within an hour or so of my home, and cheer. Recently, Huber Park in lovely Eastvale was the location of the games for the weekend, and we piled in the truck as a family to make the 40 minute run from the San Gabriel Valley. The park is situated in the general area of the Prado dam flood plain, between a track housing neighborhood and a commercial/industrial area. The field is surrounded and n all sides by a downslope hill, almost as if this originally was going to be a lake and they changed it to a grassy sports field at the last minute. More likely, this park serves as an overflow spreading ground in the event of a flood. The park has some picnic facilities, an impressive skatepark, and some play equipment for the kiddies. After the game, we walked over to find the park restrooms locked on a Saturday morning at 9:30 AM. Really, Eastvale? Get it together-- it's a public restroom near a kids' play area. Other than the restroom stupidity, seemed like a nice park. Or at least one that the neighbors might protect as a locals-only kind of thing.

You can now walk from Eastvale Community Park at Hamner through River Walk Park and down to Archibald, a total round trip of 5.2 miles. Unfortunately, there has been so many kids out there racing E-bikes during the past year it is getting increasingly difficult to safely take a walk with my dog along this trail. Recently JCSD has put up 20 miles per hour speed limit signs that say yield to pedestrians and some mirrors to help see around sharp turns. 20 mile per hour speed limit might be an okay speed limit on the straight parts of the trail, but 20 miles per hour isn't at all safe around the sharp turns. I have had to jump in the bushes and pull my dog off the trail several times from E-bikes racing around a curve in the trail.

There are a…read morecouple things I would like to point out: there is a dog park next to the splash pad so people bring their dogs to the splash pad even though it says not to. I don't mind but my son is allergic to dogs and it could start up his allergies which I then would mind. Also we set up a blanket on the grass and this grass has the tiny spikey balls in the grass so that was an inconvenience trying to clean that off. But overall, the park is clean, the other kids and parents are friendly and there isn't anyone here who isn't supposed to be which is nice.

I wish there was more shade but it seems playgrounds never have any. My toddler enjoyed all the water fun. It's pretty well kept and there's also 2 large dog parks right next to it. I didn't check to see if there were restrooms though. Parking is just on the street as the park is in the middle of a community.

There are 2 baseball fields (I believe), and even in the evening time, it's very well lit! This park is one of my favorites to walk around and play Pokémon Go at. It's such a large park with so many pokestops and gyms. There's plenty of walking space and places to sit and take a breather. The pavements and walkways are really well kept and clear, and the benches and tables are relatively clean. There's also a skatepark attached to the park if you're interested in skating! It's a perfect little park for weekends and day trips with friends and family.

The big dog park is on a bit of a hill, so there's a small incline where one could lose sight of their pup briefly if not careful, but it's not a big deal. This park is definitely in our rotation now and worth driving a little farther for.
