My middle kid (and only daughter) has been playing club soccer for about a year, and really seems…read moreto enjoy it. Unlike our AYSO experience, which required me--a decidedly not-soccer-talented lifelong baseball player dad-- to referee games and coach teams, the only thing I have to do for this team is write checks, drive to various parks and fields within an hour or so of my home, and cheer. Recently, Huber Park in lovely Eastvale was the location of the games for the weekend, and we piled in the truck as a family to make the 40 minute run from the San Gabriel Valley. The park is situated in the general area of the Prado dam flood plain, between a track housing neighborhood and a commercial/industrial area. The field is surrounded and n all sides by a downslope hill, almost as if this originally was going to be a lake and they changed it to a grassy sports field at the last minute. More likely, this park serves as an overflow spreading ground in the event of a flood. The park has some picnic facilities, an impressive skatepark, and some play equipment for the kiddies. After the game, we walked over to find the park restrooms locked on a Saturday morning at 9:30 AM. Really, Eastvale? Get it together-- it's a public restroom near a kids' play area. Other than the restroom stupidity, seemed like a nice park. Or at least one that the neighbors might protect as a locals-only kind of thing.

If you're looking for the perfect place to host a child's birthday party, especially during the hot…read moresummer months, look no further than Romp-o-Rama in Corona!!! My sister recently celebrated my niece's birthday here, and booking with Romp-o-Rama was one of the best decisions we made. The prices are very reasonable, the facility is clean and well-maintained, and the air conditioning worked amazingly, which made such a huge difference in the summer heat... A huge shout-out to Tamara, Isabella, Alyssa, Madalynn, and Mercedes!!! They were absolutely incredible from start to finish... They made the entire experience stress-free by guiding us through everything, answering all of our questions, offering helpful recommendations, and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the party. Their customer service truly went above and beyond... The party room was spacious, clean, and came with great amenities, including a refrigerator, freezer, tables, cleaning supplies, and trash bags. We were allowed to arrive 30 minutes early to decorate, which made setup so much easier... The kids had an absolute blast! There are so many fun activities, including an adorable little play city, and the staff kept everything organized by making announcements over the intercom when it was time for food, cake, and other party activities. The kids were free to play and explore while everything flowed smoothly.. We hosted our party on a Sunday when the facility was also open to the public, but it never felt overcrowded. Everyone still had plenty of room to play and enjoy themselves.. We brought in our own food and ordered pizza and wings from the pizza place right next door. It was super convenient, and they were able to have everything ready exactly when we needed it... Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everything was organized, relaxed, kid-friendly, and so easy from beginning to end. Most importantly, everyone stayed cool and comfortable thanks to the amazing AC!!! Thank you to the entire Romp-o-Rama team for making my niece's birthday so memorable. We highly recommend this place to anyone planning a birthday party or special event for children. We'll definitely be back!!!
