Today my skin was a lot better after a month but had not cleared up completely so Dr. W could see what the problem was. He is a very pleasant person who listens patiently to your explanation unlike other doctors. He did the diagnosis and was going to call my pharmacy with the prescription. It was done like that. Easy peasy, which is how I like it I appreciated the very professional and organized way he runs his office. His staff was kind and helpful. The office is well organized and clean. He is on the second floor but it was easy to get to. I had one quick question at the end which he was happy to answer and he calmed my mind about it. There wasn't a long waiting time, maybe 15 minutes. Kudos for that. I had a pleasant experience. Parking was easy as this building is part of a large mall. It is over by the Starbucks. Handicap spots were available. Nice clean large elevator.

He's listed as a provider under Ambetter so I chose this insurance company. I called today to make an appointment only to be told by an extremely rude member of his staff that they do not accept Ambetter... when I asked why he was listed as a provider, I was told that the corporate group accepts that insurance but he doesn't. I then asked how was I supposed to know that since he shows up as a provider her response was that "I should have called the office... I'll have ro find another dr.! I'm not going that easy...as a radio host it'll be the subject of my shows for the next MONTH! RUDE people have no place in customer service positions! I guess my loyalty to his practice means nothing therefore I'll have no problem trashing it on air! Shame on you Dr. Bates for allowing what you've built to tarnished by corporate mismanagement. I've checked with Ambetterb and they have you listed with a valid contract... in addition they have indicated that you have NOT submitted any paperwork to withdraw from their network... hence they will be filing a complaint against your practice which I will be posting on social network as soon as i get my hands on it. Your "first impression" team has failed miserably. He always has a smile and laughs at my jokes, but most important of all is that he runs a tight ship and his staff are most helpful. When you enter for an appointment either Natalia or Ivan are ready with a smile and always bend over backwards to help when there is a vexing little problem such as personally helping with referrals or how to navigate Healow (their patient portal). All of the staff are well chosen and as nice as can be. I have been to many GPs down here in the swamp and I was lucky to find this practice.
