I've been a patient of Dr. Edmundo Tamayo for over ten years. Once located in the North Shore Medical Building, the office moved to a new location on Biscayne Boulevard and 90th street in plaza next to Family Dollar and Dollar Tree. The new office is state of art and you have his medical office on one side and weight loss on the other side. I want to feel comfortable when talking to my physician, but every time I come there is either a new Physician Assistant or an ARNP that pretty much does the consultation. When I do ask for Dr. Tamayo, the medical assistants either tell me he's coming in a little later or he's not coming in at all, or I can wait a little longer, I'm not guaranteed I'll be seeing him (I'm like WTH?) So, you are in the room with an unfamiliar individual who literally you have to disclose your whole medical information to. I honestly do not feel comfortable with that , I've complain to their medical staff. I haven't seen my doctor in almost five years. As far as their medical staff, I can say there only three familiar faces, everyone else is brand new staff. Sometimes I call for an appointment and because I'm not feeling well, either I have wait two weeks to get an appointment or I have the option of coming in through their urgent care, and because his urgent care is not a particpating provider through my insurance I have to cough up an extra $25 (not). The front desk clerk can be extremely rude at times and I feel when you request something from her, she makes you feel very uncomfortable, like you bothering her. I'll be up for my yearly in a month or two. If I do not see Dr. Tamayo, I'll be researching for a new doctor who currently accepts my insurance.

I walked in with 4 people who were there before me. None of us got served and then the front desk staff left at noon. I left at 1pm after paying my $55 fee, because my time is more valuable than that. Next time, do a Google search on your doctors before heading in there.
