It wasn't very crowded so I didn't experience any issues accessing or sharing the items that I wanted to use. My overall impression is that this is a nice, spacious facility with a lot to offer its members. They offer fitness classes including Pilates and water fitness, there are also personal trainers available. I even saw a couple of massage chairs. As a guest, I've had good experiences and cannot comment much on customer service or experience as a paid member. However, based on the experience that I've had, I would definitely consider using the guest facility privileges again in the future.

The massage offered is expensive so packages seem More desirable however good luck scheduling with whom you want, when you want, within their expiration time of said package. They are real cheats here and Tammy who runs the department is tough and will not refund nor give massage. They just keep your money. Rebecca who works there does not listen when instructing her if touch is too hard. I bought a massage for my sister and she hurt her and my sister kept telling her to lighten up. Erica at the desk is one snotty person. Tamara and Vanessa at desk are lovely. I found another gym to go to. The pool is old and often closed for repair. There are no amenities to speak of since Covid. There used to be coffee and tea. Overall it once was a great club and now is only fair. Go elsewhere.

My son and I have been students at the school for over 15 years. I recommend this school for many…read morereasons: - The school is run by husband/wife team Paul and Maricar Jakubowski. - Their philosophy is: we're martial arts for those who need it. (not the cutthroat Cobra Kai type of gym.) - The male/female student ratio is about 50/50. - The curriculum includes defensive moves which allow students to defend themselves in school situations without getting charged as the aggressor. - My son (who is often quiet at school) has made lifelong kung fu friends, who he chats with every day online. The overall school spirit is one of friendly camaraderie. - Self-discipline, character, and (of course) fitness are part of the curriculum. - Most classes are "Family classes" which accommodate all skill levels. This allows parents and kids to train together in the same class block. - My son and I trained together for several years, and tested for our black belts together at the same test session, which was very meaningful for me.

My family has attended classes twice a week for more than five years. Shi fu Paul makes a special effort to make the place inviting and fun to children with needs. It's also been great to see moms and dads test for black sash with their kids. Also excellent strength and flexibility training, learn to use traditional Chinese weaponry, what's not to love?

The class is centred around the Cheng Man Ching 37, which turns out to have 60 plus movements--the 37 refers to the number of unique movements and some repeat throughout the form. Kris also has some great relationships with other instructors who occasionally make a guest appearance and provide demonstrations. Classes are held weekly, with 14-15 classes to a session, which is sufficient time to learn the basics of approximately one-third of the form (with some practice at home). Students are also given access to videos to help their practice between classes, which helps enormously! Personally, I have found Tai Chi both rewarding and challenging. It takes some physical and mental stamina to master the moves--which is a great distraction from the rigors of an otherwise busy life. The amount of effort expended is up to the individual, students range from 13 to 83 years of age all advancing at their own rate. Tai Chi has improved my own balance and core strength which has positively impacted other sports such as skiing and cycling. I like it, and would recommend that everyone tries it!

Her demo of the Cheng Man Ching form was easy to follow and beautifully choreographed. Kris was responsive and friendly when I contacted her, and I am now completing my third live online course with her, along with subscribing to her recorded "on demand" classes that are available. These classes have made a difference for me, and I will continue!
