Procedures are still performed in the original location across from the Chase bank. The waiting room is still cramped however and people are regularly standing or forced to wait outside the door due to a lack of seating. The TV had been removed and the receptionist has been replaced. The only saving grace was that the intake was fast and efficient. The staff were extremely professional and very helpful. On one occasion, I received multiple phone calls in the same day asking why I had scheduled an appointment before my ultrasound was completed. I repeatedly explained that the appointment was to discuss the results of a previous ultrasound, which had already been completed and was in my chart. Despite explaining this several times, they continued to question me. The final issue that led me to cancel my care was when I was scheduled for an endoscopy. No one contacted me beforehand to explain what my out-of-pocket cost would be. Since my procedure was the next day, I called the office because I didn't want to be surprised by a large bill. I spoke with Maggie, and the interaction was extremely disappointing. Rather than listening to my concerns, she repeatedly talked over me while I was simply trying to understand why the office couldn't provide an estimate after obtaining the insurance authorization. It felt like the office was focused on getting paid by the insurance company but not on making sure patients understood their financial responsibility ahead of time. Instead of helping, Maggie told me to call my insurance company or the surgery center myself. I explained that I didn't understand why I had to make multiple phone calls when the procedure had been scheduled through their office. Even after I politely asked her to let me finish speaking, she continued interrupting me and eventually hung up on me. I have worked in customer service for many years, and throughout the conversation I remained respectful. There was nothing that justified ending the call that way. As a result of this experience, I canceled my procedure and will be finding another gastroenterologist. The physician may be excellent, but the office staff's communication, professionalism, and customer service need significant improvement. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice.

When I finally asked the front desk what was going on, they told me to wait another 5-10 minutes even though they close at 5 PM. I said I wanted to cancel, and the staff member didn't even apologize for the delay or the wasted time. I wasted an entire hour between driving there, sitting in their waiting room, and driving back home. Totally unprofessional and disorganized. The staff also wears gloves when handling bodily fluids or when touching patients. There are some hand sanitizers available for patients to use. This place is open and available with limited capacity. They are sanitizing in between patients. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is small. Many times, the parking lot will be full. I just park at Walgreens and walk over. Or, you can park in the massive parking lot with the supermarket across the street and walk over. You have plenty of options. Don't worry. The medical office itself is extremely clean, neat, tidy, and organized. Staff: The receptionists here are very quick, efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Dr. Tim Chen himself is fricken funny, knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.
