Very long wait time. Dirty waiting room which looked more like a morgue than a pediatric office. The chairs were SO old and uncomfortable which made the long wait time even worse. Doctor had horrible manners. Farting when you talked to her. VERY LOUDLY hacking up snot like a smoker. So unprofessional!! The doctor actually asked for a good yelp review!? Unbelievable! I do not recommended this doctor! I will never bring my baby back here again! I'm so glad my insurance changed! The one star is just for the staff. ** I stand by my post. There's a big difference between being ill and just bad manners! If patient care here was a priority all the things mentioned above would not have had to be addressed.. All said, I've already moved on to my new pediatrician with whom we are receiving great care! I've been going to Dr. Parekh's office since I was a kid. She has always been kind, honest, and responsive. When deciding on a doctor, the office phone greetings or chairs are not important. You want a doctor that will put you and your health first. Dr. Parekh is that doctor and much more. It is also the small things she does. Her office gets medicine samples that she happily gives you so you don't have to buy it. She is always willing to hop on the phone and provide help. She genuinely cares about everyone she meets from the kids to the parents. I know because even though I'm no longer a kid, she's still the doctor I call when I want a second opinion. Last year, I hurt my foot. My PCP told me it was tissue damage and the swelling would go away. I went to Dr. Parekh, she listened to what happened to my foot, looked at it, and immediately told me to get an x-ray. Surprise, it was broken. Overall, I've been 100% satisfied by Dr. Parekh and would be amiss if you weren't either. Give her a shot, you won't be disappointed. read more

This is a long pending review. This review is purely based on my experience with Dr Parekh. I personally did not care about all the bells and whistles such as modern facilities and pretty receptionists. For me, the medical skills with extensive experience were the most important factor in selecting the doctor for my child. I was very satisfied with Dr Parekh from my first visit. I received accurate diagnosis even when my child had unusual and worrisome symptoms. She is a good listener and a good communicator. She gave us the time needed and responded to every concern I had in the language I understood. I always felt that my child was really cared for. I appreciate the competence, empathy and commitment Dr Parekh has shown over the years. Worst pediatrician I've ever experienced! She was not gentle at all when she wanted to check my kid's conditions and my kid was frightened by her. She also misdiagnosed my kid after asking only few questions about my kid's symptoms. I felt that I wasted my money on seeing this doctor. read more

Dr.Parekh has been our daughter's pediatrician since my daughter was 1 month old. We have known her for 6+ years now and were referred to her by our neighbors. We have been very happy with the care that we have received from Dr.Parekh. She always takes time to diagnose any issues and listens to any concerns and inputs you have to offer. She takes joy in my daughter's milestones and my daughter always looks forward to going to Dr.Parekh's office. Although, we have moved 30 miles away from Dr.Parekh's office, she continues to be our daughter's primary pediatrician because of the trust we have in her. I have gone to Dr. Parekh for well over a decade, and she has been great. The staff is professional, the office is well-maintained, and I have never had a problem with any of the nurses who work with her. I would get my athletic approvals done efficiently over the summer. The nurses or Dr. Parekh would let me know when the office would receive the season's flu vaccine so that I could take it as soon as it arrived. She kept me informed about vaccinations that need to be taken after early childhood like meningitis, Tdap, and HPV, which has helped me into early adulthood. Dr. Parekh is extremely patient at explaining to children/teenagers/young adults/worried parents about what is to be taken, how it is to be taken, and why. I do not feel rushed in her office. If a follow-up blood test is needed, she accounts for where I live before providing the test request so I have easy access to the service. In conversation, if relevant, she mentions the latest research from healthcare conferences that she attends, so I know the answers I receive from her are not outdated treatments, and I feel at ease knowing that she integrates information about the individual and science before a prescription or treatment. read more

I wish I would have given more than 5 stars. I have been going to Dr Parekh office for 5 yrs for my kid and 8yrs with my niece. She is a real doctor who gives so good time to examine a child. I have seen her diagnosising my niece with her walking issues and regularly following up for her. She referred to the specialist even before parents realized the problem. Even with my son, she diagnosed his hernia problem at pretty early stage n we got his surgery done even before the pain begins for him. Her office people are so nice as well. Dr. Parekh is the pediatrician my daughters have been seeing since birth. It has been more than 17 years we are seeing her. She is very knowledgeable and is very proactive in taking care of things like seeing a specialist for further prognosis. The office staff is also very punctual and caring. The office helped us get same day appointment to see a specialist when my daughter had injured her knee. Dr Parekh takes interest in the kids and help them make good choices for their well being. Dr. Neela Parekh is an excellent Pediatrician with a wealth of experience and knowledge that enables her to be extremely thorough, compassionate, and caring. We have an 11-month son with an ailment. Dr. Parekh meticulously and methodologically guided us through this since our son was an infant. His condition is considerably improved with very little medication. She is a patient listener, clear communicator and always takes the time to answer parents' questions such that every time we would leave her office, we would feel cared for as family, less anxious/nervous and armed with the right information to provide the best possible care for our son. We particularly appreciated Dr. Parekh's approach - which is neither "rigid, my way is the only way" nor "the opposite extreme of liberalness where anything goes, you (parents) tell me what you want to do". I love the doctor. She is proactive with diagnoses when it comes to patient history and answers all questions. She takes her time to ask questions as well and we have solved a few issues just by answering questions that may have sounded irrelevant at that time. That also means that if she spends time with her patients that she might be running late for your appointment but I honestly don't mind. She will do you justice. Initially, the care provided was mediocre at best. As time passed, it became subpar. The staff at this office lacks professionalism. They answer the phone with a simple, "hello." There's no professional greeting such as, "Hello. Dr. Parekh's office. How can I help you?" As for Dr. Parekh, she advised my daughter to stop seeing her endocrinologist since she has experience with hypothyroidism. She has between 3-5 patients that she's currently treating with this disease. Whereas my daughter's Stanford endocrinologist treats hundreds of patients. Lastly, she wanted my daughter to grow within the 25 percentile by next year. She tried to convince me that if she participated in soccer, tennis or volleyball, she would reach that goal on the growth chart. Dr. Parekh was adamant & guaranteed it- even though hypothyroid patients tend to be on the smaller side. I could not take her seriously from that point on. read more
