Dr Trager has cared for both my children and I can't recommend him and this office enough. Dr Trager, Dr Ceroni and Dr Tuckfield are a drrrream for new parents. Dr Trager made it a point to visit my children immediately after birth at Good Samaritan, and also during a brief hospital stay for one of my children when she was 3. We didn't ask him to visit, we didn't expect him to visit, he just showed up because he cared and because he wanted to consult with the attending physician. He is incredibly responsive at any hour of the day or evening, often getting back to us within a couple of hours. I have never in the 5 years we've been seeing Dr Trager had any trouble being seen same-day. He takes my concerns seriously and when they're sick, he follows up to make sure they're recovering as expected. This is truly a kid-first practice. The one time I went to Dr. Trager was a phenomenal experience. I had recently had a snowboarding accident where I had cuts to my face and a shoulder injury. We took our new born baby to visit Dr Trager. Although Dr Trager had smile on his face, he was very rude when checking the baby. The baby is only several days old. He needs all treatment in gentle. But Dr Trager was rushed to finish the job as soon as possible. He clamped the baby's neck and the baby started crying intensely and uncomfortably. He didn't show any gentle. He didn't care if the baby was comfortable. He roughly touched the baby, and the baby continued crying. He didn't show any care and kind to the baby. Dr Trager's smile on his face is only a fake mask. And the nurse and dr showed up at the same time. They each wanted to do something on the baby. It was very chaos. And the nurse was very pushed. Dr. Trager is a very nice guy to talk to. But on a rainy day, I hope he is not your pediatrician. Our child got covid and he flat out stopped replying to our email. Calling doesnt work in the US as you will never be able to reach a doctor directly. Our child was suffering with high fever, nausea and diarrhoea, and Dr. Trager decided to prioritize other things. This is all when a standard nausea medication, which we got at a standard urgent care, solved the issue. He did not have the courage to say that "dont bring him in" or even the capability to suggest the medication and there was no need to bring him in. Not only is he a coward, but also incompetent. In the past also, his office pushed to take to urgent care/ER even with symptoms of fever even though it may not be COVID and refused to give us an appointment. His incompetence also came to the fore when we had repeatedly asked him at our previous visits about our son itching his ear. He said "ohh its nothing" and waved it away. At urgent care, they said it needs to be treated immediately and gave him an antibiotic. Lo and behold, that solved within a day. We felt ashamed that we allowed our infant son to suffer for so long due to criminal negligence from a pediatrician. Ohh, and did I tell you that he recommends waffles and sugar syrup pancakes as the first solids for you infant! read more

The Best Doctor in the world! No one comes even with a close comparison to him. He is always ready to help by going above and beyond. He is very smart in his diagnosis, we had many experiences where he has saved our kids life by right diagnosis. His office staff is excellent too, always ready to help and make kids comfortable. I'm so grateful I found Dr Trager and Dr Gupta! They are both such caring doctors and the practice is very well run. They have same day appointments and even Saturday morning appointments. Dr Trager also answers emails at all hours and has reassured this first time momma a number of times without ever making me feel ridiculous. They're super collaborative-- when I brought my toddler in because he was saying his stomach hurt, Dr Gupta examined him and said he seemed fine so we could either keep an eye on it and see if it seemed linked to any particular food, or we could order some tests. She said she didn't recommend the tests because they were uncomfortable and probably wouldn't reveal anything, but she was open to my opinion, too. Dr Trager is a wonderful pediatric physician. BUT Unfortunately his front desk staff is awful. It is, in fact, impossible to make an appointment with Dr Trager because not only does the front desk not answer calls, but they also refuse to respond to emails. I had a very sick child I was trying to get in, I called 22 times on a Tuesday and 6 times on a wed. Four of the calls were put on hold and then dropped. 10 were unable to connect. The others it just rang. I also sent emails, the staff whom replied three days later. If you want an office that is there for you and your family in the case of an emergency, like most parents. My son has been seeing Dr. Trager since he was born. Dr. Trager is a knowledgeable and nurturing doctor. Unfortunately, it is very hard to get an appointment with him. When scheduling, I was often told that I could get in a lot sooner to see his partner, Dr. Cirone. I was fine with that, wanting my son to have all of his checkups on time. I called a few weeks ago right around his first birthday and was told the next available appointment was for August 23 at 10 (with Dr. Cirone). Well, I show up at 10, greeted by the receptionist (that deals with all of the doctors at Ramblc) and she says that she doesn't see my son's name but they've been having computer problems. She calls back to the receptionist of Dr. Trager/Dr. Cirone and says that they will be right with me. The nurse (whom is usually pleasant) comes up front to tell me that I don't have an appointment. I tell her that I do and I have it on my calendar (which I put into my phone the second I was told the day and time). She then looks over to the woman who apparently makes the appointments and tells her to "deal" with me. Offended, I walk over and explain the situation. She say that I can come in the next day with ANOTHER doctor. Being a Mother with a tight schedule, I am appalled that they would not apologize for THEIR mistake. They looked at me like I was making this appointment up. Why would I do that? I have been a receptionist myself, and know how to make appointments, and more than anything know how a patient should be treated. Although Dr. Trager is a wonderful doctor I am sad to say that we will not be returning to his practice. Upset with the situation I called my husband. He was displeased also, as he was with me when I made the appointment. He did some research and found another pediatrician in a smaller practice who could take my son the following day. read more

My husband and I both think very highly of Dr. Trager. He's gentle with our son and always answers all of our questions. He also answers e-mails within 24 hours, which I really appreciate. Furthermore, I have always been able to get my son a same-day appointment when necessary. My husband, who is concerned about the supposed link between vaccinations and autism, asked whether my son's vaccinations could be administered separately, rather than as a group, and Dr. Trager didn't give him any trouble about it. He simply said that that would be fine, if that's what we wanted. A nice guy and an excellent doctor. The only drawback is that sometimes the hold times to get through to Dr. T's receptionist are unreasonable. I've spent over 15 minutes on hold more than once, and at that point, I generally give up. Dr. Trager caught my youngest daughter's cancer during a routine well check. He noticed some things, ordered blood work and called me less than 24 hrs later to deliver the news she has leukemia. While I was hysterical, he was calm, kind and reassuring. He sent us to Stanford immediately and they were expecting us and had her blood results. We were admitted that day and she began chemo two days later. Dr. Trager made sure we could reach him at any time. I probably should have written him a 5 star review years ago. He has been our pediatrician since my first daughter was born 10 years ago. I've always been impressed with how well run his office is and how great he has been with all of our kids. Colds, flu, whatever over the years he has seen our kids same day whenever I needed it and doesn't make patients wait forever. He makes himself so accessible to his patients and personally replies to your emails. No portals etc just a straight up email. But what you never really know until it happens to you is how good your doctor is in a real crisis. Well, Dr. Trager is the guy you want in your corner when things go really wrong. We are so grateful to him. He caught our daughter's cancer early before it was in her central nervous system which improves her prognosis. I will forever be grateful to him. This review is towards the administrative staff. I called to make an appointment, gave my information to three different people along the way and 45 minutes later the final receptionist says the doctor is not taking new patients. Health grades, the anthem website and 3 other administrative staff members whom I spoke with earlier all suggest Dr. Trager is taking new patients. This disconnect between the staff, websites and reality of whether he is taking new patients or not is extremely annoying. On a separate note, imagine if I actually had an emergency and needed to make an appointment. The fact that it would take me 45 minutes to make an appointment is outrageous. read more

Really thankful to have this doctor. He knows how to communicate with parents. He cares about the kids. He notices small details, and puts in extra time. The office is nice. It keeps the kids entertained. The waiting room has toys, movies, aquariums, magazines. Even a little table to color at. The exam rooms are unique. They have a bench, and a scale in each room. The exam table (I'm sure that's the wrong word... The thing with paper the kids lie on) is really tall and against a wall with a mirror. It's great because you can stand right there while the baby lies on the table. And the kids like looking at themselves (which is good distraction if you try taking multiple kids at the same time). Even if all the bells and whistles are nice- I would go to this doctor if his office was 50 miles away and in a blank wall boring office space. He's just smart, easy to talk to, and my kids are healthier because of him. read more

His office staff is friendly and helpful and I have never had an issue scheduling an appointment for a well baby exam because I always schedule the next one as I am leaving. On the occasions when my son was sick, Dr. Trager has responded to my emails within a few hours, saving me trips to see him if it wasn't warranted. On the few times that we have needed to get in for a sick visit, we've had no issues being accommodated that same day. read more
