By the time I was back in my office on Monday I realized I never received any email confirmation about my delivery. I called them and spoke to someone about whether or not my flowers were delivered. They asked for the address in Cochrane I was sending to and she confirmed with me over the phone that they were delivered and that she hadn't sent my invoice yet because she needed the 3 digit security code on my card and that she was just about to call me that morning about it. I gave her the digits and then Wednesday came and still nothing in my email. I tried calling again and then also emailing. No response. Today (Thurs) I have tried calling twice and no answer. Also their 800 number on the home page is directed to a 403 number which is not in service. I have checked my transactions and nothing has been charged to the card but I have contacted my purchasing card department to stop any charges from this business and requesting a new card number. I feel really bad about this florist!! ... I think I am only lucky so far because I gave them the wrong security digits off the card!!! My fraud senses are blaring!!! Also I checked with my recipient of the confirmed delivery and she never ever received any flowers. UPDATE: They emailed me back to insist they are a real business and apologized for my experience. I'm still suspicious so just beware if you are looking at using this company.

I've been to Anything Grows on a busy weekend and a quiet weekday afternoon and there was still staff (very knowledgeable staff) available to assist m. The prices are reasonable, there's a charming shop to browse garden related items, indoor plants, cacti etc., and some furnishings - and even when it's busy the line up gets processed quickly without a fuss.

There's an amazing cashier and I'll get her name next time, she has short black hair spiky and she's adorable and very personable... I wear a massive Russian silver Fox fur winter Hat all winter to keep the cold out because lately it's been unbelievably freezing in Alberta....... yesterday she was so cute she said oh my God I love your hat I have to play with it and she rubbed my head for good luck -it was pretty hilarious and I got a good laugh from other strangers standing around....... Suddenly everybody went from being stressed about Christmas shopping to having a good laugh and a shared experience. It's small things like that that really make a small grocery store make you feel good.
