New Safeway's are wayyy better than the old Safeways…read more This location was remodeled to the cool new layout a couple years ago, and as it's in my work neighborhood, It's a frequent lunch stop. This one appears to be more spacious than other locations and the fruit/veg area is always extremely stocked, clean and well organized. My favorite part is the sandwich deli which at times is painfully slow (no Subway efficiently here), however the sandwiches and Panini's are very delicious. I highly recommend the Plymouth Rock with extra cranberry sauce (I'm addicted), the turkey and havarti Panini and some Tuscan bisque soup. The store is rarely busy so service is fast and the helpers in the aisles and always, well - helpful :) One downside is that they previously had a Sbux inside for grabbing the after lunch coffee, which has since been removed (*sad face*). Safeway has closed my favorite store (Thorncliffe, where the employees were soooo nice and they knew me) so the next closest is Beddington. NEVER AGAIN! (and I mean never!) I realize as I write this that a corporation such as yours doesn't care if I return or not. I get that but in my opinion, Safeway/Sobeys is now on the bottom of my list. several items I purchased wouldn't even scan and due to this I needed help. (of course I did as it is not my job! I could understand if I scan my own products and do your job there was a discount, but of course there isn't!) I am ashamed of the state of your supermarkets now. Baristas at Starbucks inside the Safeway are wonderful as well. We wanted to order honey oat latte, however honey was not available due to some stock issues at Starbucks and the wonderful barista ( her name was Anne) made it nicely with vanilla after apologizing profusely. All in all, great place to get your groceries without much fuss!

As previous commenters have stated, they load these with egg, cheese, bacon, and sausage, they are so very tasty, and always hot, almost too hot to eat right away. On a cold morning they also do double duty as hand warmers, until one's appetite overpowers ones need to keep their digits frost free. I've never managed to be in the area during lunchtime, but I'm very much looking forward to trying the mid-day repast that others have mentioned being served here.

It's a very eye catching store because there are huge windows in the front that look right into the store. The store is one of the most seasonal stores I've ever seen - what I mean is that during Halloween, it's ALL Halloween. And now, it's ALL Christmas! When you walk in, you're overwhelmed with things, things, everywhere! You almost don't know where to look first! What a lot of people don't know is that while Twigs carries all this stuff, they are also a floral shop! They have flowers for every occasion! Gifts, Decorations, Flowers, OH MY! It's definitely a one stop shop if you're on your way to someone's house for dinner and want to take along something beautiful and thoughtful. The next time I'm heading out for a soiree, I'll definitely make a pit stop at Twigs and ensure I pick up the perfect gift for the host of the evening.

She was working on an arrangement but saw me peering at her. She asked if I needed help and I told her a wanted a gerbra bouquet. I told her to pick the colours and what I get was a beautiful assortment with pussy willow, wax flowers and greens. I also picked up a sunny sunflower, which was nicely packaged for me with a piece of greens. I was worried that Twigs would be too expensive for me, but nope, I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers within my budget. I will come back again and perhaps hint to my husband that Twigs makes some awesome bouquets.

Tried a strawberry rhubarb cake ($14.00), chicken pot pie ($16.50 large), assorted 6 pack muffins ($13.50) and Nanaimo bar ($3.75). Cake was decent but slightly more dense than their other offerings. Pie was quite bland. Muffins have a good texture and are nicely sized. Nanaimo bar was solid. Will be back to grab more treats next trip!
