I'm from Toronto and decided to go with Kensington Florist based on positive reviews on Google, but I know some of us use Yelp (as I sometimes do), so thought I'd share my feedback here as well. I ordered a bouquet for Mother's Day and am very impressed by the design they created and delivered. It exceeds my expectations, especially having not had the ability to speak with them in person, see their materials, etc. I did speak with the staff on the phone and found everyone to be kind and courteous. Both my mom and I are truly delighted with their work - would order from KF again without hesitation. Highly recommend!! read more

I went to the Kensington Florist for a wedding bouquet, two bridesmaid bouquets, and a bouquet for the wedding venue. We were delighted with what they provided. I went to another florist closer to me, and they were pretty rude, saying I needed a wedding consultation and asking why I didn't have one. I gave the florist pictures of what the bride wanted, and the florist matched the photo. I would highly recommend this place!! read more

Flowers are my love language and Kensington Florist is my go to for send to loved ones in Calgary. Their service is top notch, and their arrangements are gorgeous and fresh. Recently I ordered and they even sent me a photo of the arrangement before it went out for delivery - I love this because I'm always worried what is sent won't be the same as what's on a website. Very pretty small arrangement just not what I paid for. I paid $115.00 plus delivery for a "deluxe" soft and pretty arrangement. Expected to get something fancier then a couple roses (literally 2) a few mums, carnations and a whole bunch of greens. I live in Seattle and work for a local florist and know that for what I paid it should have been double in size and fuller. Maybe they didn't expect me to be sent a picture of arrangement. Very disappointed. It would be nice to find a reputable honest florist in Calgary I could trust since I do a lot of business there. read more

Flowers were pretty but different and smaller than the ones I selected from their website for delivery (ordered Deluxe but it appeared they sent a small arrangement instead) Maybe it's due to their poor flower supply due to COVID ? They also started wilting the next day. read more

When my fiance & I started dating, I started a tradition of buying her flowers every month. Unfortunately, that tradition has all but ended as we got engaged and moved into our house. Definitely something to be resurrected. Before moving into our house, I lived in Kensington and relied almost exclusively on Kensington Florist. At first, I would have them do custom bouquets based on my own taste and research. They did a great job getting me exactly what I needed and my fiance was always thrilled. As the months went by, and my memory slipped a little, I started to rely on whatever they had available. Much to my surprise, their available selection usually surpassed my own creations (why I was surprised I'll never understand, as I am not an expert in that field). Their selection is great, but most importantly it is beautiful and unique. I've been to other florists in Calgary, but never found anywhere that had arrangements so vibrant. In all, I've purchased dozens of bouquets from them, and not just for my fiance. Other situations have come up that require bouquets and Kensington Florist was always there to assist. The only issue I have found with them, and the reason they lose a star, is their hours of operation. They are never open later than 5:30, which can be a problem if you're planning on stopping in after work. On a few occasions I missed their closing by minutes and was forced to go elsewhere. Such is life, I suppose, but it would be nice if their extended their hours, if only by 1. Slight inconvenience, but common to Kensington, is parking. The only available parking is provided by the city, through their ParkPlus system, which means during their business hours Monday-Saturday, you'll need to pay for parking. But truthfully, it's worth it. read more

I wanted flowers that represented his various hobbies and interests through out life and did not look like funeral flowers. They did a wonderful job and knocked it out of the park. I absoltuely could not recommend a better florist. I'm based in the U.S. but was acting as the florist for a wedding in Banff, and therefore needed to order the flowers in advance and transport them over an hour away. The staff at Kensington was incredibly communicative, especially with conducting estimates and orders remotely, and veryhelpful and friendly. A lovely team to work with overall, and their prices were fair, espeically for such beautiful flowers. read more

Horrible service. Tried calling numerous times today- was then put on hold and patiently waiting but at the 15 minute mark the phone disconnects. Went through this 4 times as the lady would answer saying pls hold and I couldn't get in a word. Finally I got through and she did not want to take my order as courier had reached cutoff. My request was for delivery just down the block from them. If I lived in the city, I would have delivered jt myself however I was calling from another province. I run a business myself and am well aware customers enable a business to thrive. Whether the customer is on the phone or in your store they should be offered service. To have to wait patiently for an hour on hold, no wonder I missed the courier deadline. read more

This place is so pretty. Ok fine ... it is a flower shop after all, but there's something special about this place the moment you walk in. Oh and did I mention that there's a special Yelp discount for checking in? I think it was 20% (or was it 25%?). Whatever the number, it was a substantial discount. AMAZING. And yes, I just saved you a bunch of money. You're welcome. Bought a couple of calla lilies for the girlfriend in anticipation of her arrival. I'm with Moez T. when he says that Kensington Florist is one of the best flower shops in town. I love the shop not only from the inside, but from the outside too. It's inviting, it's in the perfect location, and it looks like a true flower shop should look. Once inside, there's flowers, flowers EVERYWHERE! Bouquets, singles, and exquisite vases surround you at every step. The service is exceptional and the prices are competitive with other independent flower shops in the city. I've definitely 'outdone' myself by bringing bouquets from Kensington Florist to a number of different get-togethers. Kensington Florist makes me look good... and THAT, my friends, makes me one happy gal. read more

I am going out of my way to comment on the bouquets I have ordered for my girlfriend. I know nothing of flowers. My girlfriend runs a large surgeons office downtown with a lot of employees and has seen her fair share. I had never had a reaction to buying someone flowers they way I did from this florist. Anyone who has seen them had been amazed. And for days. Truly worth the money. Twice now everyone has been wowed as the flowers go through there stages day by day. I called from Montreal asking a very polite employee that answered the phone if they would be so kind to send my sick Auntie a bouquet of flowers to her hospital room for here birthday, I was very pleased when I arrived to visit my Auntie a day later to see the most beautiful arrangement of fall colored flowers sitting next to her bed. My weddings in 12 days and I had secured another florist shop in Calgary to do my wedding flowers (budget $1500, not an insignificant order). That flower shop we had booked more than a year in advance continually failed to return our phone calls, emails and wouldn't even help us when we dropped by the store. I am trying to arrange the last few weeks of our wedding from Malaysia as my husband has been transferred here for work. In desperation, I sent an email to a few other florists in Calgary less than 3 weeks before the wedding date to see whether they could help. Knowing it is high wedding season, I didn't have high hopes. Laura Lobo, owner of Kensington Florist emailed me within an hour letting me know they would be able to squeeze us into their existing schedule. 4 emails and one credit card payment later we are all set for the wedding with 12 days to spare. I can't thank Laura enough for her professionalism, resposiveness and creativity (the arrangement ideas she emailed me were beautiful)! I was lied to about what could be created for my order. So being told that they could make my order I submitted my request and what I received was nothing at all what I wanted. I was then ignored for near a week trying to solve my issue during this time the person who the order was for as a birthday present left without anything. When I finally received a call about it I was told that what I wanted was wrong! They didn't even bother to read what I requested just told me I didn't know what I was ordering and that no they don't have the supplies to do what I wanted anyways. I never received an apology for any of this. Go somewhere where they will tell you the truth or bother to contact you to figure out details and that actual values their customers. read more

I called with less than 15 minutes to order some flowers and to have them walked over to a restaurant for me. Michelle answered the call and was so pleasant to deal with. She took my order talked to the florist and provided me the best option for flowers. She took my payment over the phone and will walk them to the restaurant for me. It was a delightful experience and I was so happy they could do this on such short notice. it is true these guys are truly one of the top 10 florists in Calgary. I will be sure to use them again as well as tell all my friends about them. I give them 5 out of 5 stars and more if I could!!! read more

I searched for a place to do a special nursing grad presentation bouquet for our daughter for University of Calgary graduation that could deliver to our hotel the AM of the grad. It was difficult to find an actual voice to talk to at a flower shop in Calgary. We were coming to Calgary from far away so found that without knowing any flower places, lots of time was spent looking on the internet only to find out a lot of these places were online international companies that you could not speak to anyone personally. Kensington staff were amazing to deal with and made the bouquet very special and beautiful for our daughters day. They delivered without any problem right to our hotel. So many people commented on the bouquet as to how beautiful it was. Very different from the little bouquets we could have quickly bought on the university grounds. Mt daughter is arriving today in Calgary to begin her honeymoon. When she arrived, we wanted her to see some welcoming flowers in her room. Unfortunately, we did not have the correct hotel name or address. But, we only learned that due to the remarkable sensitivity and care of the people at Kensington Florist. While travelling in the USA I ordered a 100.00 plus flower arrangement on line to be delivered to my wife. The instructions on the order form specifically stated DO NOT CALL THE HOME #. Well they did ruining what was supposed to be a birthday surprise. That aside imagine my surprise when arriving home I saw that my order was a long basket with potted plants, all of which could have been picked up at Safeway just plopped in the basket with some moss covering the tops of the pots.
