Depending on your sign up deal, you might be able to get a free pair of gloves! This is a HUGE steal, especially considering most gyms make you borrow a pair that smells like it's never been washed. The owner, Frank, is also incredibly friendly and has a great story about his start with kickboxing. Based on the first class and overall experience, I can already see myself becoming a member. It's a super nice community of people and the trainers are really welcoming. Frank (the owner/trainer) has a really fascinating story about how he decided to buy the company himself! Mason also is a professional boxer and gives good advice and real life situations of how this workout helps. Brittany also does a fun Boot Camps to break up boxing everyday. I've been to other classes through Class Pass and TKO is by far the most welcoming. They take newbies through a good startup class to go over all the punches and kicks. They focus 100% on form to prevent injuries making this class pretty safe for newbies. Overall, I've been getting a great workout from them and will continue to come back! Highly recommend if you want to get back into shape, get some stress out, learn a fun new skill, and have some fun!

I've been a…read moremember of CKO for almost a year, and I attend classes 3-4 times a week (yesterday was my 117th class!). The instructors are absolutely incredible people and they're some of the most enthusiastic and encouraging individuals I've ever met! Each class not only feels like a fitness & cardio session but also a team effort where we all motivate eachother to stay on track, and hit (and kick!) the combos and routines that are set by our instructors. Being part of CKO has truly felt like one big family! :) In the 10 months that I've been a member (this is the first time I've ever joined a kickboxing gym too!) I've witnessed a huge and positive physiological change in my mind and body, as well as my mood and motivation too! I am so glad I joined CKO last year. The instructors are all very positive and encouraging and that helped me early on when I was very out of shape and was scared of being judged in the gym. CKO is a welcoming environment, regardless on whether you are already shredded or just beginning your athletic journey. If you are worried of being judged, I will squash that fear. DONT BE! The instructors and other boxers are all incredibly friendly and encouraging. I have not met an unfriendly person here. The classes themselves are a hour long and include primarily kickboxing, as well as ab workouts and other exercises depending on the day. On Wednesdays and Fridays, half of the class is spent doing strength training with weights and the TRX. All of these extra exercises are to improve your kickboxing. Whatever the activity, they are clear with instructions and if you are unsure of what you should be doing, the instructors are always happy to help. If you need to take a break, you arent judged and can jump back in when you are ready. I really like that CKO encrouages me not only to maintain, but improve. Natalia, Lornell, and the other instructors all push you to your limits and encourage you not to give up and to keep it going. I dont know how many times I have felt like giving up, and Dustin's speech gets me back on track. Seriously man, your speeches are awesome! CKO makes it really easy for me to get in shape. I was never an athletic person, but CKO has given me a love for kickboxing and makes me look forward to going to the gym. I would recommend anyone give them a try! You wont be disappointed.

Went to Mick Doyle's for a free first class based off the recommendation of a current member…read more On the advice of an employee, the hubs and I took both the beginner and intermediate boxing classes. The beginner class was more of a warmup that focused on footwork and technique and the intermediate class moved into hitting and bag work. While the trainers and workout was fantastic, about 45 minutes of the two hours was taken up by the trainer talking (no movement during this time) and one-on-one work with the first trainer. The one-on-one time was great, however, if you were not working with the trainer you were just standing around. It seems this time would be more beneficial if people were paired up to continue training while waiting for their turn with the trainer. If you are looking for a workout, you may want to just attend the beginner class. If you are looking to become more efficient and trained in boxing, both classes are probably needed. The intermediate class (at least during our visit) is just a continuation of the first class and cannot stand on its own. While the extended time was a let down, as newbies we definitely needed the break. If we were to continue on, this would probably be an issue if all classes have this amount of down time. I have joined regular gyms in the past and I believe the workout is no where near as good as Kosama. Today was my first day back and I can honestly say it was a great workout! The staff is outstanding. There were some moves moves that my body wouldn't let me do because of injuries, and the staff noticed and they adjusted the exercise for me. Even the regular members who were next to me helped me out when I didn't exactly have the "moves" down. Excellent facility and a real professional atmosphere as their staff know what to do and they are highly motivated. Can't go wrong!
