Biggest issue with the session was Mark's constant reference to cost and condecending tone when providing 'advice' about working with a HOA, which suggested he did not assume we could afford to remodel our home. This caused me to suspect he is not accustomed to working with people of color, but in the spirit of experiencing a teachable moment, if someone agrees to pay you over $200 above your typical fee to get you to travel outside of your normal geographic range of services to draw up a plan for a renewed front yard, it is probably safe to assume they understand the concept of a HOA and can afford to buy the desired plants and hire landscapers.

We also had about 9 knockout rose bushes removed in the process, as they had become to hard for us to maintain, plus the yard is on a bad slope. The process went smoothly and quickly.
