I scheduled an appointment to add an ADS-B Garmin G345R to my G1000 panel. Prices were competitive. The appointment went as scheduled and the new airplane radar recognition system works great. There were some issues with data re-install of the synthetic vision and some alerts that disappeared from the G1000, but two subsequent appointments helped resolve those matters. Garrett and the staff are very friendly and outgoing. They are probably as busy as any aviation radio shop can be these days so.....call ahead and try too schedule asap if you need a big job done, especially with the Jan 2020 ADS-B deadline quickly approaching! My aircraft, being 75 years old and rather unique, presented some interesting problems which the technicians and supervisor worked through. They kept me appraised of progress along the way. Garrett, the owner, presented me with several solutions; after the fourth we arrived on a set up that met my needs and my budget. Garrett Neal and his crew at Neal Aviation are first class. I use them almost weekly for repairs and installations. Neal does excellent quality work, has great staff and a beautiful facility. I am loyal to Neal because I can spot good people and quality work. That being said I have traveled all over the country getting radio work before I met Garrett and no one, and I mean no one, has done the quality I get at Neal Aviation. I would stay far away but since it has to do with airplanes. FLY AWAY as far as possible. Bought used 430 that was supposed to be in perfect condition only to spend $1000 for repair. Owner wouldnt even agree to pay half of repairs, which I think was more than a fair compromise. read more

Do not do business with this company! Garrett the owner Bought $6000 in avionics and asked for overnight shipping because they were under a deadline and gave me a hot check then said it would be taken care of and has not contacted me since! They are installing equipment in aircraft that they don't own. read more

This past weekend, I had stuck mic condition that was very difficult find. Took it to Garrett and crew and they quickly found and fixed the problem. They went further and verified that all the of the original wiring and ends were in good shape. Worked perfectly first time. I have used Garrett for 2 complete radio stack installs, antenna work and an amazing job he did on my CIII autopilot (I'll put it up against any STEC when it comes to holding an altitude or heading). All wiring is neatly bundled, labelled and documented and, gets compliments from anyone who looks under the glare shield. Garrett is really good at providing solutions to fit my budget and yet offer more utility than I ever anticipated.
