I recently bought a used 2025 Kia Telluride and made the mistake of taking it to a car wash. While going through the car wash, my driver's side mirror twisted the wrong way and became stuck. I was referred to AF Collision (AFC) by a coworker who had also been referred to them. Upon contacting AFC, I spoke to Omar and was given an appointment right away. Upon arrival, the lot and office were clean, I was greeted right away in a friendly manner, conducted the thorough inspection of the car, and had a quote within 20 minutes of being there. They gave me an estimate of delivery which they met, and the quote was exactly as they said it would be - no surprises at the end. They also washed the inside and outside of my car better than when I picked it up new at the dealership (not joking). My 2004 4runner just up and decided to burn out the tailgate actuator. This means I couldn't open the back door even from the inside. I called a trusted mechanic and he recommended a new body shop next door called AF collision. I called them up and Omar answered immediately. I brought my truck over and he and Carlos spent 30 minutes helping me to disengage the lock and disassemble the door to diagnose the problem. In the end, in order to save me money, they recommended that I buy the part online and bring it back to them to install for free. I ended finding the part in lemon Grove and installed it myself but was very impressed by their generosity of time and spirit. I detest going to new garages or body shops. I think every woman, who has ever walked into one of these places alone, has had the same experience. We are spoken to as if we are a bit slow (or complete idiots); we are told that we need things that we do not. I recently just went here to fix a bad bumper from hitting a pole earlier in the month. Since I couldn't come in time on a Saturday to get an estimate, I sent in pictures of my car to Omar and he was able to figure out an estimate using my pictures. Additionally, he went out of his way when I came in early one morning to thoroughly check my car and buff out the scrapes on my bumper using a "magical liquid", bringing down the costs of fixing my car by around $800! He also went out of his way to buff out additional scrapes that I had on my car using that magic liquid with no extra charge. I felt comfortable talking to him about what was needed for my car and he never rolled his eyes on me regarding the stupid stories of what happened due to my clumsy driving - something that other body shops would do by giving me an attitude based on looking at my gender/age and talking down to me acting like I know nothing about cars (I do know nothing about cars lol but Omar explained everything to me without having an egotistical attitude). He was friendly, polite and thorough during the entire process. I did need additional work on my car but he always notified me about it and explained the reasoning so that I didn't have to come again to get another part fixed. When I got my car back, I was astonished at how clean it was - additional scrapes on my car were buffed out, it was washed and the interior of my car was also vacuumed! I hope I never have to go to a body shop again but if I did, I will definitely be using AF Collision. read more
