There were some issues with data re-install of the synthetic vision and some alerts that disappeared from the G1000, but two subsequent appointments helped resolve those matters. Garrett and the staff are very friendly and outgoing. They are probably as busy as any aviation radio shop can be these days so.....call ahead and try too schedule asap if you need a big job done, especially with the Jan 2020 ADS-B deadline quickly approaching! The operations manager is the biggest problem with this company because he micromanages every single department, has multiple family members working there, demands you "fit" in with his employees and has no interest in paying the people what they're worth regardless of skill level. If for any reason you don't like these circumstances you'll be marked as "up for termination". A machine blew up right in front of us sending chunks of metal through a wall and a maintenance worker passed out and died in an argon gas pit and we all basically are still supposed to be proud to be employed there. The quality isn't good also because they keep people that scrap parts only because they become highly obedient to the operations manager.

So unorganized and unprofessional.... I would hate to think of what their plan of attack would be if this joint had to deal with a real emergency wonder if they even would know what to do.... I went to update my last name on my Airframe and Power plant certificate... basically my license to fix and repair aircraft...... The lady helping me, although very nice... was very unprofessional and did not seem to know what she was doing..... let alone did not speak english very well... The place was full of old timers working at the pace of molasses... you know the typical "government" worker..... anyways.... I know not many people go here... you really would go here if you were involved in Aviation... but.... I have a bad feeling about our city's governing force over regulation and safety of what is going on in the skies and the airports around San Diego.... sad to say but our flying safety is at the odds of a flip of a coin....
