I admit I had never even heard of NCG, but I was in Brookhaven and needed to kill some time so I decided to check it out. I was expecting a super low-budget experience but that was not it at all. I was so pleased at this theater that this will definitely be my go-to theater from now on. The place was so clean and fresh that I assumed they had just opened, but it seems they've been open for several years. I went on a Tuesday, and was thrilled at the $6 ticket. Popcorn was also super cheap. I think I paid $23 for ticket, popcorn and drink. A bargain! The popcorn was fresh and crisp. I gobbled it up. The seats were super comfy with no ripped seats. The only thing I didn't like was the handicapped seating (I needed it this particular day) was at the back of the theater. As a member of the short-girl society, it was a little challenging to see over the seats. The next time I go I won't need that seating, so I'll be fine, but I'd imagine someone who needed it might find it challenging as well. read more

Our go-to movie spot in Brookhaven! We've seen a few kids' movies here and love it every time. NCG does free or super cheap kids' tickets during the summer, which is such a great deal--perfect for keeping little ones entertained without breaking the bank. The theater is always clean, the reclining seats are super comfy, and the unlimited popcorn and drinks are a big win (especially with kids who love refills). Even the bathrooms are clean, which is not always the case at movie theaters! If you're in the Brookhaven area, this is definitely a solid spot for an easy, fun movie night. read more

They don't let you bring in refillable water bottles. I'm not talking full ones. You can't bring in empty ones. And they offer water from their fountains. And they offer water cups. But you can't put the water in a refillable bottle And, on top of that, on a Saturday night, they ran out of water cups. Couldn't get a small soda cup. Couldn't bring in my empty refillable water bottles, but they ran out of water cups ON A SATURDAY NIGHT. So we couldn't have water. Management here are a$$holes. This movie theatre is my happy place! It's cozy and always clean or in the process of being cleaned. The staff know me as a regular customer and treat me as such. Even if the movie itself is bad, I still consider it a good time going there. I will return again and again and again. read more

I rarely go to the movies but I will increase my frequency since finding this place. This is in the corner of a strip mall. The theater was not busy and each theater has limited seating. Very nice recliners with a tray in front of each seat. The staff are also nice. Not sure that they have the highest quality projectors and speakers but I could not tell the difference and really enjoyed the show. read more

Last month I went to see a movie. I bought my tickets online. My partner goes to get them and buy popcorn and I walk straight back to the bathroom. an associate yells at me "WHERE ARE YOU GOING MAAM YOU NEED TICKETS". Today I bring my pillow and blanket and a sanitary pad in the theater. My sister was carrying it in for me while I paid. He starts yelling across the room that we can't bring it in. At first I thought he meant the blanket and pillow and pad. So I told my sister to take it out to the car. Later my cashier explained he thought we were sneaking in food. So instead of asking me politely, he just yelled and embarrassed us. I get retail and service jobs are hard and you put up with a lot but this is the second time someone's yelled at us at this theater. So if you don't enjoy being yelled at. Maybe go to regal or AMC or anywhere else. read more

I came here for the first time to see Captain America. I like it. It's inexpensive and accommodating. I was surprised. For some reason I thought it was going to be a hole in the wall type of situation. The cashier was throwed off and kept getting orders wrong, luckily I was early and not pressed. My only real complaint is that our seats were broken, we couldn't recline. That sucked. But, it'll be back. It's in a convenient location and the price is right. read more

I've given this theatre multiple chances, but today was my last visit. Every time I come, it's filthy in some way--whether it's the bathrooms, floors, or concession stations. Today, the entire place smelled like vomit. My fiancé decided to tough it out, but it was unsettling to sit somewhere knowing there might have been vomit nearby. A movie theater should be a clean and comfortable experience, and unfortunately, this location consistently falls short. Definitely not returning. Additionally, here's my view! First time going to this location since it is not in my area. It's very nice and clean inside, and everyone is super friendly and helpful. They have recliners seat in this location, although mine unfortunately wasn't working. The tickets are about $6 on Tuesdays, and the popcorn is so good. Not to mention you can get unlimited popcorn and drinks refills for free. My only concern is the sound... it was so bad we thought the characters sounded like they had some sort of mask on.. we returned next week, and they sounds was just as bad. Other than that is ok. absolutely no outside food, I had a backpack on and they said they either needed to check it, or bring it to my car. Spacious parking + very clean bathrooms! I was super surprised at this place! I came here today (Tuesday) movies were $5 BUCKS. They have alcohol and cute little slushies which were kinda weak but I mean you can't get drunk at a movie theater. LOL SO they have do it your own popcorn. You press a button and put your popcorn bag or tub under and it gives it to you. They give you the bag and you go and do it yourself which is super cool and of course they have butter and popcorn seasonings. The chairs recline and the theater had plenty of leg room. My go to affordable theater. Their nachos are really good and the staff is very nice and accommodating. The only reason I am taking out one star is because their screens are on the smaller side, and you have to kind of look up when you're watching the movie since the screens are a lot more elevated than the seating. Tonight is movie night with my grandson, sister in-law and nephew. She's been here before but I haven't. I must say I'm really streaky an AMC type girl. But I'll go outside of my ordinary at times . Ok....we first started at an AMC theater trying to see Spider-Man. But they didn't have any group seatings. That's how we ending up here. We went online to found the nearest place. I saw they had a 9 o'clock show, so I bought them. Got in the theater about 8:50. And to my surprise the movie was already playing. I thought maybe this theater didn't show any previews. Mine you we did stop at the concession stand to get the food and so forth. But dang the place wasn't crowded nor did I buy a month worth of groceries at the concession stand. Once we sat down it seems like the movie was over in 40 minutes. Now that movie was about 2 hours or so long. Long story short the website had the wrong times available. I bought the 8 o'clock show. So my sister spoke with the manager the next day, he stayed that it was nothing they could do once the ticket was scanned. Really?!!!! I was upset about it , but they went to see another movie later. So will I come back again? Yes....overall the theater was clean, the employees was very nice and the theater seats was comfortable. And most importantly their restrooms was VERY CLEAN. SO YES I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS THEATER. BUT!!!!!!! make sure you look at your tickets to make sure it's the right time . read more

This movie theater is super nice. They have a self serve popcorn machine!!! Unlimited drinks and popcorn! Nice recliner leather seats! The best way to describe is Phipps AMC for Dekalb AMC prices. And no there weren't a lot of ppl here! The manager was nice and so was the staff. They have a bar. They weren't selling anything outside of popcorn and drinks, but I think it's coming! The popcorn machine was the best thing!!! Highly recommend! Oh and sign up for their club before you go and you will get a free popcorn! read more

The place smells like nothing everywhere (except the front with the popcorn) which was great for a pregnant woman. The whole place was clean. Everyone was friendly. The icees were out which was poo, but I just got a drink out of the Coca Cola mix machine. The bathroom also smelled like nothing. It was all very clean. It's cute and simple. Everyone seemed to be doing their jobs instead of standing around. I'm cheap and normally go to the cheap spots at the cheap times but this was worth the extra couple of dollars. The big reclining chairs and wide walkways were the cherry on top. I definitely will return. Big shoutout to the staff. They all seem like kids, but they were doing their thing. read more

Husband and I stopped by for an impromptu casual date night to see The Woman King earlier this week. It wasn't crowded at all, and everything from the entry to the theaters and bathrooms was nice and clean. The young lady who was working the front was really sweet, friendly and helpful as well! The only reason I'm not giving this five stars is because we were expecting the $6 Tuesday tickets, but it wasn't advertised on their mobile site that some movies aren't included anymore. No biggie, because we would've come to see it anyway. But the marketing copywriter in me couldn't help taking note of that. Now we know for next time though. We'll be back! read more

I had the worse experience ever at this establishment. Our movie was set to play at 2:25 PM, by 2:38 one of the movie guest went to ask what was the delay. She comes back and states they are going to fix it. Mind you it my group of 3 and this lady. It was only 4 ppl in the theater. After me my friend and the lady go out several more times the movie starts to play. 30-40 mins into the movies starting we had watch over 64 commercials. I go back out and ask what is with all these commercials? The manager states that's how the film is set up and that they had a blackout prior to us arriving. Mind you no one stated that when we got our tickets. The situation got so bad. They gave us a refund and we went back in to watch the film. The manager comes into the film and states that we have to leave because we received a refund. I said we got a refund because of the delay of film and the disorganization about the process. GM comes in and states he will cut the film off if we don't leave. GM cut the film and all hell broke out. Please see video! Police were called and everything. We contacted corporate. I totally underestimated this theater. Went right before 5pm on a Friday afternoon. My matinee ticket was $7.69 online but I ended up just getting my ticket there. Noticed how clean it was when I walked in. Bought my ticket, small popcorn, and a medium drink -total was $21 and change. I got my empty bag without popcorn and was then told it was self serve. There was a helpful employee that pointed me in the direction of the self serve area. I even meant to get his name to include it in today's review but when I left I didn't see him. I noticed there was some cheddar and Carmel popcorn also but did not try it. Their regular popcorn with butter was great. I asked if refills were free and was told they were. The theater numbers are easy to read and find. Theater still had that new building smell- new, fresh, and clean. :) There is plenty of free parking outside. read more

I've been to this theater quite a few times for the past year. What draws me here is simple: cheap tickets. It's even cheaper if I get a Tmobile Tuesday deal. Not a good experience when we were all wating to see Sound of Freedom on Fourth of July. We spent 30 mins watching adverts without showing any movie trailers. Then I approached the manager if we can watch the movie now. He agreed. But then they had a glitch where the manager on duty could not get the system to move to the movie. We walked out. A great gem on Buford highway! $11 prime time tickets on a Friday. Seats recline, but sometimes they're broken. If that's the case the staff will let you move no problem though. The theater is hardly ever at capacity, I've yet to see a movie with even half of the theater full. The screen and sound quality aren't anything to write home about, but they get the job done. It just isn't going to compare to some of the nicer theaters. The concession stand is great for specially for unlimited soda and popcorn. Alcoholic beverages including frose are also sold. Really hope this place makes it because for the price it's so hard to beat! read more

I enjoy NCG, it's never overly packed. They have self serve drinks and popcorn which are both unlimited. Recliner chairs and seat warmers tehe. It's more of an intimate at home theater that probably holds about 25 maybe less seats but I've never seen more then 5 people at a time during a showing of a movie read more

I like this venue. The theatre is clean. Some of the cinemas are smaller and I like that. The seats recline and you can choose where you want to sit. They do have discount pricing especially on Tuesdays. There is plenty of parking. read more

I really want to like this place (even though, for trying to be a nice movie theater, they picked the absolute wrong shopping center for it), but it misses the mark on a few key things. First, when you get there and check in, you have the option to buy your popcorn and drinks at the front register. They try to sell you on this ridiculous $20 bucket of popcorn, but they hide under the counter the $8.50 bucket that looks the exact same size as the $20 bucket (the only difference being that you get free popcorn on future visits with the $20 bucket, but if you don't go to the movies often, it's not worth it, obviously). If you ask me, just buy the $6-$7 bag of popcorn since refills are free. The ticket prices are nice here ($9 for matinees), and if you're just wanting to watch movies and don't care for quality, then it's a good deal. But my wife and I watched Top Gun twice -- once at the AMC Phipps and once here, and the AMC Phipps movie sound is SIGNIFICANTLY better than NCG's. The sound here is lacking in bass and sounds flat, which you'll notice when any "booms" in a movie just don't hit you like they're supposed to. NCG tries to mask the deficiency by turning it up a little louder. It doesn't work. If you want a more quality and immersive movie experience, I would go to AMC instead. Otherwise, the recliner seats at NCG seemed to be identical to the ones at AMC Phipps. The only other thing that bothered us was that the popcorn was WAY oversalted. I realize that's probably more dependent on the person who made the popcorn, not on the theater in general. But man, it was awful. It tasted like I was drinking ocean water, it was that salty. Overall, not a terrible experience. But if anyone asked me what I think about NCG Brookhaven, my immediate answer would be, "You get what you pay for." read more

This theater appears nice from the outside, but is very unprofessional and unorganized on the inside. A friend and I decide to attend this theater to view John Wick, which was to begin showing at 2:25 PM. We showed up to the theater before 2 PM to get ourselves settled with concessions before the movie began. First red flag, they do not have any popcorn selections available except butter. I was told by the employee at the register that they are instructed not to put the other popcorn out because they are slow during that time. Second red flag, the kid's tray is advertised to offer a 16oz beverage with purchase but the cup provided is maybe 8oz. After leaving the concession stand unhappy, we proceed to our seats in the theater. We sat patiently, playing games on our phone, for the movie to begin. 30 minutes past the posted movie showing and no movie is to be seen. The screen was completely black the entire time. Eventually, my friend gets up to go inform someone that our movie is not playing. When an employee starts the showing, the projection did not fill the screen, the volume was too low and previews played for over 30 minutes. The previews were all commercials for a product and had nothing to do with any current movies or new movies coming out. Still no movie to be seen. Also to mention, the commercials were repeating themselves. Myself, my friend and another patron had to constantly leave our seats to inform staff of the issues. It was so bad that my friend requested a refund. After she received her refund we proceeded back to the theater.... still playing commercials. A staff member comes in and speaks to her telling her that we had to leave because we requested a refund. We felt a great deal of our time was wasted due to their incompetence and the least they could do was compensate us in the manner of letting us see the movie we came to see free of charge. The manger (Lapez Mitchell) decided to stop the movie until we left and then hid in his office to call police when we requested to speak with him. Very unprofessional and I will never attend this theater again. read more

This is my favorite theatre in metro atlanta. It's tucked away so parking is easy. Select your seats before hand and the chairs are automatic, full recline - so fancy! The popcorn and drinks are DIY so free refills. It's really a win win and the tickets are usually a dollar or so cheaper than other theaters. read more
