Van Horn Law Group - Miramar

If I could give more than 5 stars to Van Horn Law Firm in Fort Lauderdale, I absolutely would. From…read morethe very first phone call, I realized this wasn't just any law firm -- this was a team of people who care deeply about their clients, and who make you feel like you are in the best possible hands. Let me start with Amy. From the moment she first spoke with me, I felt a sense of calm. She has such a natural way of making you feel comfortable, no matter how stressed or worried you might be about your situation. She is attentive, she listens, and she never once made me feel like I was "just another case." Amy took the time to explain every step of the process in plain language, which gave me clarity and peace of mind. She truly has the gift of empathy combined with professionalism, and that is something rare and priceless. Then there is Melanie. I cannot say enough about how incredible she has been. Melanie is responsive, organized, and completely on top of every detail. What impressed me most is how she managed to keep everything moving along smoothly while still showing so much kindness. It is one thing to be efficient, but it is another to combine that efficiency with genuine warmth, and Melanie does both beautifully. She never hesitated to answer my questions, follow up quickly, or make sure I had everything I needed. Together, Amy and Melanie represent exactly what makes Van Horn Law Firm stand out from so many others in South Florida: professionalism wrapped in compassion. I always felt like I was talking to real people who cared about me, not just legal representatives doing a job. That human touch made all the difference for me. The entire Van Horn team deserves recognition, too. Every interaction I had, from the front desk to follow-up calls, was marked by courtesy, respect, and a genuine desire to help. It is rare to find a law firm that combines legal expertise with such heart. You can tell they take pride not only in their results but also in the relationships they build with their clients. What also stood out to me is the consistency of their communication. I never felt left in the dark, never felt like I had to chase for updates. Instead, I always knew where things stood and what the next steps were. That kind of transparency builds trust, and I can honestly say I trust this firm 100%. I've dealt with other law firms in the past, and the difference with Van Horn was night and day. Here, I felt respected, cared for, and genuinely supported at every turn. The level of professionalism, paired with such kindness, sets them apart as the best law firm in Fort Lauderdale and South Florida. To anyone reading this who is searching for legal help: please do yourself a favor and reach out to Van Horn Law Firm. If you are lucky enough to work with Amy and Melanie, you will understand exactly why I am writing such a long review. They are absolute gems -- patient, caring, knowledgeable, and committed to their clients in a way that goes above and beyond. I am forever grateful to them for making what could have been a stressful process into an experience where I felt guided, supported, and valued as a person. This firm has earned my trust, my respect, and my highest recommendation. Van Horn Law Firm doesn't just provide legal services -- they provide peace of mind, and in today's world, that is truly priceless. Five stars are not enough.

I signed a contract with It's Just Lunch for $2,900.00. I am deeply unsatisfied with the lack of customer service. That is an outrageous amount to charge me for the service I am getting. It is an outrageous amount period. Along with the poor customer service I've received, they are not fulfilling their contract agreement. My contract is for twelve dates, one per month, for one year. When I signed my contract on February 8, 2022, I was dealing with Erica P. She let me know that I would be assigned a matchmaker but that I could contact her whenever I wanted. She would always be there for me. That is a complete lie. I called Erica on March 14, 2022, left voicemail, and she didn't return my phone call. She instead sent me an email stating I need to contact my matchmaker. As a side note, Erica P. tried to get me to pay before she sent me the contract to read! Missy W. is my Executive Matchmaker and she has not been returning my phone calls. I called her on March 2 @ 1:13 pm, March 14 @ 5:52 pm, March 15 @ 11:35 am, and April 21 @ 5:52 pm. I left voice mail messages each time and she never returned my phone call. I did call her once, blocked my phone number from being seen, and she actually picked up the phone that time. I called her out on that, and she had nothing to say. Just silence from her end of the phone. I emailed Missy W. on April 8 and she never responded back. I didn't hear from her until she contacted me on April 21 to schedule my next date. I went out on a date on May 7th and provided feedback through their questionnaire and stated that I wanted to speak to my matchmaker. She called me on May 9 @ 11:08 am and left me voice mail. I called her back on May 11 @ 10:25 am and again on May 13 @ 2:54 pm. I left voicemail messages both times and neither phone call was returned. I have not experienced "white glove service" from them as they claim on their website. They are not treating me as a "person" as their website claims. Their team of matchmakers, dating specialists and date coordinators are not "the best" as they claim on their website. They treat me as a website profile. I've paid in full, they have my money, and they don't care about me or the service they provide me. They do not, "quickly respond to my questions and needs" as their website claims. Erica P and Missy W have not been there for me. I do not want another matchmaker. I was already assigned to Patricia and she was worse than Missy W. I've been on two dates and neither one was successful. There have been no second dates. They asked for my phone number and never called me. After my first date with Glenn I told Missy he wasn't the one. He works second shift and I want someone who works first shift like me. My second date was with Craig who also works second shift. He used to work third shift and still operates on that schedule. He told me he usually has dinner between 1-2 am! My matchmaker is not "carefully hand-selecting my matches" as they claim on their website. They have done nothing to earn the $2,900.00 they charged me. I sent a complaint letter to It's Just Lunch on May 28, 2022. I spoke to Mike E., Client Experience Manager, on June 8, 2022 regarding my complaint and experience with It's Just Lunch. He claimed I turned two dates down and they were subtracted from the 12 dates I'm supposed to receive in my contract. I told him Missy W. told me to not worry about it, she "had my back." He asked me if I had that in writing and I told him no. He told me he would honor it and would put it in writing and send it to me. Twelve days later and I still don't have it in writing. This is just another example of their unscrupulous behavior.

It's a $50 restock fee & the $29 I paid earlier is not refundable. So to return the iPad is $80. The manager looked me dead in the eye and said there's nothing I can do. I wouldn't have purchased this item had I known. Properly inform customers of the cost of returns before letting them purchase.

I was contemplating going with a new service after 3 years with Verizon and learning that the promotion that was being offered throigh Best Buy (where I also experience extraordinary customer sevice - thanks to lead Brandon) would be gutted by the requirement to upgrade the account at $50 per month. Jade was able to earn my continued business with her great service and after accommodating my requests. She checked and confirmed the West Pines Verizon store had the phones I ordered in stock and also confirmed the store was opened until 8, which was also what was painted on the door when I arrived at 7:05. I needed the phones immediately because my sons were catching a 6 am flight and didn't have reliably working phones. When I arrived at the store, there were 7 people inside, 3 or 4 of them employees of the store. The doors were locked. The woman who later said she was a manager shook her head and indicated the door was closed. I begged her to please come to the door to speak with me which she did only after it was apparent I was going to keep standing at the door. I explained to her I had already purchased the phones online and just needed to pick them up. I had even received a text message that my order was ready for pick up so it seemed a really simple matter to accommodate the pick up.i explained I had to put my sons on a plane at 6 and they were leaving for a week and really needed working phones. She just kept refusing and I was nearly in tears as I begged her to please just let me pick up the phones. She claimed she couldn't open the door once she locked it but this was illogical since the 7 people inside would have to leave. I asked if there was any other person I could call to get help or any other store. She said she was talking to her manager and he said no and she walked away saying no repeatedly and ignoring my pleas for any help at all. I stood by the door as I reached out to customer service and tried ro reach the helpful folks I had spoken to before. Turns out the advertsienent that help is always open is not true. The lines were all closed. I continued to gesture and ask for help. Each of the employees looked away even though they weer just standing around chatting to each other. I stood there for over 20 minutes as I tried using thechat function and calling Verizon to see if i could cancel the order and create another pick up - sonething the employees of that store could have at least helped me with through the door. Indeed, any one of the employees who were unoccupied and standing around while the "manager" was still selling products to custoners undoubtedly could have very easily gotten the phones that were ready for pick up according to there own system and text to me. I begged any of them to come to the door to at lleast help me figure out if any other store was still open and had the devices and could help me. They just shook their heads and ignored me. I said I understood they could not get the phones but asked if they could at least just give me direction because I could not fathom putting my children on a plane alone without working phones. They were unmoved and callous in their response. I get there may be good reasons for policies but to turn away with such coldness such a simple request when there is clear capacity to meet it, is just inhuman. I will never aim to get used to the days when policies and profits trump treating people with basic kindness, dignity and respect. The manager who said no was not simply doing his job, he was making a conscious choice to ignore the needs of the community members that sustain our local businesses. If they can't be human, which demands flexibility, I pray they lose every bit of the profits they prioritize.
