I cannot even give this company a rating. They do not show or take the time to get to know their clients . They are very misleading and untruthful. This is just a game to the match makers. I would never use this company again. I regret that I even attempted to use them. read more

It's Just Lunch has an F rating with the BBB for a reason. They don't care about their customers. They just want your money and will say whatever they have to say to get you to sign. I signed a contract with It's Just Lunch for $2,900.00. I am deeply unsatisfied with the lack of customer service. That is an outrageous amount to charge me for the service I am getting. It is an outrageous amount period. Along with the poor customer service I've received, they are not fulfilling their contract agreement. My contract is for twelve dates, one per month, for one year. When I signed my contract on February 8, 2022, I was dealing with Erica P. She let me know that I would be assigned a matchmaker but that I could contact her whenever I wanted. She would always be there for me. That is a complete lie. I called Erica on March 14, 2022, left voicemail, and she didn't return my phone call. She instead sent me an email stating I need to contact my matchmaker. As a side note, Erica P. tried to get me to pay before she sent me the contract to read! Missy W. is my Executive Matchmaker and she has not been returning my phone calls. I called her on March 2 @ 1:13 pm, March 14 @ 5:52 pm, March 15 @ 11:35 am, and April 21 @ 5:52 pm. I left voice mail messages each time and she never returned my phone call. I did call her once, blocked my phone number from being seen, and she actually picked up the phone that time. I called her out on that, and she had nothing to say. Just silence from her end of the phone. I emailed Missy W. on April 8 and she never responded back. I didn't hear from her until she contacted me on April 21 to schedule my next date. I went out on a date on May 7th and provided feedback through their questionnaire and stated that I wanted to speak to my matchmaker. She called me on May 9 @ 11:08 am and left me voice mail. I called her back on May 11 @ 10:25 am and again on May 13 @ 2:54 pm. I left voicemail messages both times and neither phone call was returned. I have not experienced "white glove service" from them as they claim on their website. They are not treating me as a "person" as their website claims. Their team of matchmakers, dating specialists and date coordinators are not "the best" as they claim on their website. They treat me as a website profile. I've paid in full, they have my money, and they don't care about me or the service they provide me. They do not, "quickly respond to my questions and needs" as their website claims. Erica P and Missy W have not been there for me. I do not want another matchmaker. I was already assigned to Patricia and she was worse than Missy W. I've been on two dates and neither one was successful. There have been no second dates. They asked for my phone number and never called me. After my first date with Glenn I told Missy he wasn't the one. He works second shift and I want someone who works first shift like me. My second date was with Craig who also works second shift. He used to work third shift and still operates on that schedule. He told me he usually has dinner between 1-2 am! My matchmaker is not "carefully hand-selecting my matches" as they claim on their website. They have done nothing to earn the $2,900.00 they charged me. I sent a complaint letter to It's Just Lunch on May 28, 2022. I spoke to Mike E., Client Experience Manager, on June 8, 2022 regarding my complaint and experience with It's Just Lunch. He claimed I turned two dates down and they were subtracted from the 12 dates I'm supposed to receive in my contract. I told him Missy W. told me to not worry about it, she "had my back." He asked me if I had that in writing and I told him no. He told me he would honor it and would put it in writing and send it to me. Twelve days later and I still don't have it in writing. One word: Fraud. I don't know how It's Just Lunch employees sleep at night. They deliberately mislead you, and in their initial sales pitch will tell you about specific men (they even give names) who would be "perfect for you". Those men seem to be nonexistent once you sign the contract and pay for the service. Continuing their scam game, they will give you a hard sell for each potential date that they offer you. Apparently, anything you say in your initial "interviews" is blatantly disregarded. They will use manipulation tactics to try to get you to accept a date and then chastise you if you say you're not interested. I.e., they presented a date to me who had the one trait that I repeatedly said was a dealbreaker for me, and yet the "matchmaker" was trying everything to convince me to go out with him. The funny (and sad) thing is that they're attempting to use these tactics with people who are much more intelligent and successful than they are. It's comical. The lies are never-ending. They'll also sell you on the large pool of members, who have paid to join (or so they claim). Yet someone from IJL reached out to a male friend of mine asking if he would be interested in going on dates at no membership cost. If I could give this service a zero I would. I joined over two years ago and not one single date. After you join they tell you their hidden process that doesn't align with your orginal agreement. To make matters worse, they try to give you a few dollars no where close to what you paid to stop writing the truth about them in the form of a review. I received a call yesterday from IJL saying they reviewed my comments on Facebook. They offered me $500 to go away. needless to say that's no where close to what I paid. I declined the offer. They blocked me on Facebook. Now, you can't leave any comments on their page. Be cautious of this company. They are scammers and will take your money. read more

It's Just Lunch Florida. I live in Northern CA and I was Promised that the men that my matchmaker would set me up with would be energetic, outgoing, and passionate about being outdoors. I love walking 1/2 marathons, skydiving, gardening and kayaking. As a recent widow I trusted that IJL would deliver on their promise as I delivered on paying them just under $3000 for my "membership. 1st date - we had little if anything in common. He liked being a couch potato and watching sports. Not me!! 2nd date wasn't a date as he showed up at the restaurant looking nothing like his profile picture and stated that he wasn't on service with IJL and didn't understand why they called him up to meet me!! I was shocked, disgusted and my confidence took a tremendous hit. I immediately notified my matchmaker of this awful meeting - not a date and to not be counted toward my 4 guaranteed dates. (4!!) Months went by, no response to my emails requiring a phone call to discuss and resolve this matter. Finally the managers resolution: reimburse me $300 and send me on More dates! I took the $300 and I NEVER want to hear from them again! If I treated my clients the way IJL treated me... I would be out of business... and rightfully so! read more

Don't do it - the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I signed up for It's Just Lunch (IJL) on 05/24/19 and paid $4000 for a platinum membership which guarantees either 14 dates or 16 months of service. I had my first date on 07/01/19 and my second date on 08/07/19. My second date was better than the first and we went out a few times but ultimately it wasn't a good match. On 09/16/19 I emailed that I was ready for my next date and a matchmaker called me to say they would have something to show me soon. This was a different matchmaker than I was initially assigned which I took to be a good sign since the first one was very unresponsive. I then heard nothing from IJL and I emailed that I wanted to speak to someone about cancelling my membership on 11/13/19. I did not receive a response until 11/20/19 which was via email. I called on 11/21/19 and asked to speak to a manager. I sent another email on 11/25/19 asking when I could expect to hear from a manager. The following day, I spoke to a manager and asked for a refund. She informed me she would talk with the team to see how they could accommodate me. She said I would hear within a few days. I finally received a voice mail on 12/13/19 to call in. I called and had no response. Today (01/06/20), the manager (Julie) called and said they wanted to give me a $500 good faith payment and keep looking for dates for me. I declined and said I was having better luck finding dates on my own and wanted to be refunded. My contract indicates if IJL cannot find dates, they will refund the money minus a $500 interview processing charge. I paid $4000 for 14 dates ($285 per date). I had 2 ($570). Based on this, I'd like to be refunded $2930. This company seems very incompetent. They are dismissive, difficult to contact, and don't follow through. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had - not at all the concierge service I was expecting with such a large fee. After the conversation today, the manager sent me the following in email: "We always strive to provide a positive dating experience and ensure our clients are having success in their dating lives. Client satisfaction is of the utmost importance and we appreciate your bringing any matter to our attention. We are constantly looking to improve service to our clients and your feedback in this regard is greatly appreciated."
