She worked carefully and checked with me at each stage to make sure it was what I wanted and made sure it looked great on me. She not only altered the straps and neckline, but she took in the bust, reconstructed the boning, hemmed multiple layers of fabric and fashioned an incredible bustle. I wish I had some "before" pictures to show you what amazing work Nazli's tailoring did. She created a new dress. She took a zipper out of the back and created a beautiful corset back as well as lowered the neck line, added more lace, and hemmed the dress to the ideal length where I could walk/dance comfortably and still look wonder. I bought my dress online for...a pretty cheap price but Nazli transformed my dress in to an elegant, beautiful, and most importantly and COMFORTABLE masterpiece. Absolutely incredible work, by an amazing woman! I bought a strapless dress from Davids Bridal that was at least 3 sizes too big on the waist and chest, and I also wanted to attach cap sleeves at the time. Nazli ended up making me complete custom handmade straps that matched exactly and fit the dress to me perfectly, also adding a sash/ribbon I had. The dress fit perfectly and looked exactly how I had imagined it. She replaced the back zipper with one that was hidden better as well. Nazli was a pleasure to work with, took her time, but knew what she was doing, had me in for several fittings and the dress was done on time. I would HIGHLY recommend her; she is also the nicest woman in the world! Price was VERY reasonable, especially for so much time put in! If you're like me, and are concerned about finding someone you can trust with your wedding gown ... GO to Nazli. I fell in love with my wedding gown, which happened to be a sample size that was a size FOURTEEN (I am a size 8 in wedding gowns)! So as you can imagine, there was a lot of work that needed to be done. Besides needing it to be totally cut down to my size, I also wanted to transform my A-line wedding gown into a fit and flare! (oh boy). After being told by 2 tailors that the transformation I wanted was "impossible", I finally found Nazli, who was up for the challenge (3rd time's a charm)! She'll admit that she didn't even know whether or not it would be possible in the beginning, so she was very honest and made no guarantees, but PROMISED she would do everything she could. Fast forward to my final fittings, and I couldn't believe that I was standing there in the gown I had envisioned! Even Nazli couldn't get over how well it came out! I know it was a big challenge for her, and I'm sure if she knew how much work it was going to be, she would have charged an arm and a leg. But she stayed true to the price we had agreed upon, and didn't try to take any shortcuts with my gown. She did an amazing job, and I felt absolutely amazing in my gown, thanks to her! I brought in a dress last minute Thursday morning in hope to get it hemmed for a party on Saturday. I walked in and felt like I was at my grandmother's house. It was just two older women enjoying each others company while working. Nazli assured me that my dress would be ready by Saturday and I could pick it up any time. I called her a week ago with a dress emergency--my best friend's wedding is this weekend, and while my bridesmaid dress fit fine standing up, I realized last week it didn't fit sitting down... I've been going to this woman for over three years- the more I go to her the worse she gets. With each number of items that I bring to her, she starts venting to me about her anxiousness to do the job. "Oh, this is so much work..." ( what I get from that is that it's going to cost a lot )- or "I hope you don't need it soon..." . I've been getting more and more annoyed her the more I go, but this last time was the absolute last Straw! I brought her three bags of clothes, one bag that just needed zippers replaced, one bag that just needed hems, and one bag of dresses that needed little inns and outs.She asked me how soon I needed it. I told her it wasn't a rush and that I can give her at least two weeks. She said, "oh, good". I went on my vacation I came back I gave her an extra week, and when I called her to see a specific dress was ready out of the bunch, I realize she hadn't touched a thing I gave her. I tried to understand that she was busy and told her that maybe I should take back the bag of clothes that needed hems and the bag of clothes that needed zippers( she complained that she didn't have time to go to the store to find the zippers, because it something that's apparently very difficult to do , even though this is supposedly her business. I figured since those seemed relatively simple, I can give it to my local drycleaner. When I went to her to pick up the specific dress that I needed, not only did I take two bags of clothes back, but I realize she didn't touch anything else. I gave her a date that everything needed to be ready by. She promised me everything would be ready. Fast forward to six weeks from the day that I dropped everything off, just to realize she still didn't finish. Don't take my clothes and hold onto it for six weeks and do nothing with it. If you can't finish the job, be courteous and let me know so that I can give it to somebody else! don't hold my clothing hostage just because you can't get to it in time. What a waste of time- and it's disappointing because I am a solid customer- never again read more

I went to Nazli's for my wedding dress alterations and was so glad that I did! I thought my wedding dress would be some simple alterations and then trimming the bottom, but they ended up being complicated due to my illusion neckline. She helped me figure out the best way to take in the top of my dress while not compromising the look and making sure I was comfortable the whole time. She held herself to a high standard and even redid the initial way she was taking it in because she did not like how it looked on me. I was so grateful to go to a tailor that had so much experience and was able to help me out with my dress and was able to creatively fix problems. It came out perfectly and I would HIGHLY recommend her for your wedding dress alterations.
