Naya at this location is right across Central Park from our apartment. This morning we contemplated the true meaning of the Martin Luther King holiday. This afternoon is football. What's better than a lot of food from Naya to go. We will have enough for days! I'm recommending Naya at any location because it's consistently good service and good eats!

Food is great! Very fresh and flavorful. Quality is also very consistent. I often got the chicken shawarma and falafel. Sauces and vegetables you can choose from are nice. Backlava is also tasty. Highly recommend!

Absolutely! Here's a version of the review tailored specifically for Yelp: 5 Stars - Fresh, Flavorful, and Guilt-Free! I'm so glad I found Naya--this place is a dream for anyone who loves healthy food that actually tastes amazing. I stopped in for a quick lunch and was blown away by how fresh everything was. The salads are seriously next level--vibrant greens, perfectly cooked proteins, and flavorful dressings that tie it all together without being heavy. I tried the grilled chicken salad, and it was packed with roasted veggies, chickpeas, and a tangy lemon vinaigrette. Everything tasted clean, fresh, and super satisfying. Portions are generous, and you leave feeling full but energized (not sluggish like after a heavy meal). The staff was friendly, the space was clean and modern, and service was fast--even during the lunch rush. If you're looking for a healthy spot that doesn't compromise on flavor, Naya should be at the top of your list! Want a shorter version too for quick reviews or tips?

A not that far tread (just a block away) after getting off from the 86th Street stop (which is about a 3 to 5 min walk). The storefront has green-and-white scheme as its signature colors just like their other locations in the city. Very easy to spot from across the street. Stepping inside, you'll see the counter to order in the front and the seating on the side plus a common area with a long table & chairs right in the middle of Naya. There're also shelves next to the counter which is used for people's food deliveries and pickups. What a shame that there's no available restroom for customers. Fast service from friendly staff though. Generous portions and reasonable prices. As for the ordering part, it's super simple. According to their takeout menu or LED screens, customers just have to follow these steps. * Step #1: Pick your base. - Thin white or whole wheat pita for rolls - Type of rice or seasonal grains for bowls - Romaine lettuce or seasonal greens for salads - Reduced serving for kids' meals * Step #2: Choose your protein. - Chicken Shawarma, Chicken Shish Taouk, Beef Shawarma, Kafta Lamb Kabab, Cauliflower or Falafel. * Step #3: Add the unlimited toppings. - 17 toppings in total (hummus, garlic whip, eggplant whip, feta cheese, yogurt + cucumber dip, mild spicy tomato chili sauce, chopped romaine, tomatoes, cucumbers, jalapeño peppers, onion + parsley sumac mix, lemon tahini, green + red cabbage slaw, pickled Lebanese cucumbers, pickled turnips, kalamata olives, & spicy jalapeño sauce). * Step #4: Don't forget to ask for the free pita bread that comes with each meal. You can also request for the sauce to be on the side & not have it poured in/mixed with your base of roll, bowl, or salad to avoid sogginess. Next, pay in credit/debit card or cash. Lastly, get your utensils and paper napkins to dine in or take it to go. I usually get the super juicy, flavorful & tender lamb meatballs, its fluffy medium grain with vermicelli, plus a little bit of each and every topping including hummus and garlic whip. I love the mildly spicy tomato chili sauce as it reminds me of tomato soup in a way. My other favorite is the spicy jalapeño sauce because it gives off a little kick but won't make you have to drink water in order to get rid of the heat. Tip: Don't be afraid to ask the staff for another scoop of rice or more whatever toppings you might end up picking. You're paying for it after all, so you should be able to get it in the way you want it. Until next time.....

Newly opened Naya location finally expanding to the UWS. Got the Naya Bowl with Beef Shawarma and the food was pretty refreshing and healthy. Add some of the mild spicy red sauce and your garlic whip for some nice added flavoring. Will be stopping by more often for lunch/dinner.

There should be a restroom. It's not a tiny take-out. If they followed regulations, there should still be a sign letting people know.

Great food but no tapwater. I find it unconscionable that a restaurant would try to make buy water.

It was a little hard to hear and converse at times as it gets crowded, but the food was delicious and there are really unique items on the menu. Food: The duck shawarma was one of our favorites! The lamb and scallops were also flavorful and tender. The dips were delicious with the pita, but I wish the serving size for the dips were bigger. The fries were great - well seasoned! Also recommend the milky pudding, it was a nice refreshing way to end the dinner. Service: Our server was super helpful in letting us know what items are more shareable and his suggestions for cocktails. Definitely try some of the arak based cocktails. Vibe: Gorgeous interior, the mirrors and lighting really elevates the space and makes it a lovely spot for group dinners or dates.

The seating area is fairly small, which surprised me. We ordered the crispy garlic rice, the Piri Piri chicken sandwich, and the famous knefeh and chicken pancake. The server was so nice, she offered us a sample of the seasonal lemonade, which had rose water and turmeric. It did take a little bit of time for all the food to come out. We chit-chatted while we shared the garlic rice (a little crunchy, very mild) and the chicken sandwich. The PiriPiri sandwich came with a huge piece of fried chicken that was spiced and fried well. The chicken was juicy and not super dry. The little bit of pickled cabbage helped keep things from becoming too greasy. After a bit of wait, the pancake was served. It was such a fun experience with the crunchy kadayif noodles and the cheese hidden underneath a super fluffy pancake. The salty and cheesy flavors of the pancake went well with the rose maple syrup. The spice from the chicken added another note to the dish that made it such a great combo of flavor. I could not stop picking at this huge pancake. It's definitely meant to be eaten by at least two, if not three. If we had known, we probably wouldn't have ordered the other chicken sandwich. Overall the contrast in the chicken and knafeh pancake alone was enough to want me to visit again. The textural crunch, the melted pull of the cheese, the sweet syrup against salty and spicy flavors of the chicken. Not only was the whole presentation beautiful, but the dish itself tasted amazing. I would visit Hen House again for the experience.

The fig hummus is something special. Smooth, perfectly balanced with tahini, and unlike anything I've had before. My brother called it the best hummus he's ever had, and honestly I licked the plate clean! The falafel plate deserves its own moment. Warm, crispy on the outside, perfectly moist on the inside, and just the right amount of richness. Paired with the sauce, fresh salad, and rice, it was easily one of the most memorable meals I've had this year. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and thoughtfully put together. Truly some of the best falafel I've ever had. What really took the experience to another level was the service. After we paid, our waitress noticed I had blisters from breaking in new shoes and brought me two bandaids without me even asking. That kind of attention to detail is rare, if I could give 6 stars I would! They are also incredibly accommodating with dietary needs. When the waitress heard my brother was gluten free, she immediately brought out a new plate with double salad instead of rice. Fattoush goes above and beyond in every way. An unforgettable meal and experience. I cannot recommend it enough. I will absolutely be back to try more. Also a beautiful & quiet place to sit with friends or family.
