They're at the Snohomish Farmer's Market and you must stop by for their delicious sauces! I bought a mango salsa that is spicy as heck and delicious! They have little spoons there so you are welcome to try it before and I tried it, felt the kick, and had to have it! The flavor is really good, somewhat roasted, definitely packed with seeds that add the heat, but it's calmed down with mango bits and tons of subtle mango flavor. I love it and would like to gift some to my spice obsessed sister, but this one is all for my house! As I was checking out I spotted a masala chai. I'm so glad I tried it! Perfect chai flavor, not overpowered with too much spices, steeped to the perfect blend, and not overly sugary but a sweet treat along my savory food options I had gotten. Unfortunately my experience with Navi catering wasn't very good. I wouldn't recommend booking them for your wedding. The food tastes delicious but coordinating with their team was very stressful and unnecessarily so. Jade, their lead coordinator was extremely responsive, calling us every few days to check in with us when we're deciding on a catering company. As soon as we made our deposit she became impossible to reach and non responsive. I couldn't get confirmation of allergies and menus ingredients until less than a week before the wedding, making it a rush to print and have menus ready for the day of even though we had chosen a menu weeks before. My wedding planner and I had been reaching out for weeks previously to get an updated contract with updated head count from Jade but we didn't receive and updated contract until just days before the wedding day after finally getting a hold of Michelle their lead ops. On the day of. We booked Navi to help with table and chair set up and take down. I don't know if they helped set up as I was getting ready, but the left early and didn't take down tables or chairs, so I don't know know what we paid for. We asked for our salads to be pre-plated. They ran out of salads and 5 of our guests had to wait a very long time for food and didn't get any greens in their salad. We also booked bartending services. They promised they would work with us to come up with signature drinks, but no one ever reached out to us to workshop a drink. Instead had to send them a cocktail recipe and on the day of we realized they don't have any knowledgeable bartenders. We could have premixed the drinks ourselves and had them poured from a dispenser as that what we paid their bartender rate of $45/hr for. Navi said they were familiar working with Cort rentals. It's the company they said that they typically rent plates and silverware from but as part of their responsibilities they didn't sort or scrape the food off the silverware when it's a clearly labeled ask from Cort rentals right in the box you return them in. We were also told they they would pack left overs for us but none of our guests or us had received any left overs even though there were plenty. I was really disappointed in their professionalism. Food was delicious but coordination made working with them a major headache as a bride. If you do book with them. Do you best to work with Michelle or directly with chef Navi because if you don't have either of their eyes on things you might as well be coordinating with yourself. read more

We had a buffet on our wedding day and every part of it was delicious, they also helped carefully accommodate our multitude of allergies and dietary restrictions. NCK was the cater for my wedding, I was very upset with the service I received. The sale manager John was very unprofessional. At first, we only communicated on the phone and until 2 months prior to my wedding, I realized the info he gave me on the phone was not correct, he said NCK would provide this, and that but when I came to the office to confirmed and check them out with his boss, he denied it and said I would have to pay for those things if I wanted NCK to provide. Not once, not twice but countless of times he told me something completely different then what we had agreed on the phone. I wish I had recorded our phone conversation as the proof So I learned my lesson from there on I only talked to him via email. And when I confirmed the additional cost for trash removal, he said I have to pay $1500 when the contract clearly say $200. It was a few days before my wedding, I was supper stressed out. If I didn't pay attention and re-read everything on my contract I would have been charged so much more They charged me 35% service fee which include labor fee on top of state tax on the food. Then at the last minute they added 35% service fee and state tax to my trash removal bill. I had no choice but agree to let them auto-withdraw my money. Our contract was until 10pm, they started removing the food around 8pm and 4 of my guests came at 8:10pm didn't have anything to eat. They packed everything quickly and just wanted to leave early when my wedding was still going. My family and I had to go around to gather trash around our outdoor venue and take them home with us. This is not to mention they were supposed to serve food to my guests but they did not, I had to remind them to do it after the first table. The salad they provided was not the one I asked for. The portion of the food was so much smaller then what they presented us at the food tasting event I wish the owner would understand how frustrated I was while working with them and take responsibility but that is not the case. I decided I wanted to give myself a break for thanksgiving during a pandemic. We didn't host the dinner like we normally do so why go through all that work for just 4 people? We ordered a hot thanksgiving meal from Navi's and it was wonderful. All your classic traditional dishes. We had just the right amount of each dish and they include everything from rolls to dessert. We went to go pick up the food at our choice of reserved time and we didn't even have to get out of our car. We just pulled up, gave them our name and they brought it to our car. I hired Navi to cater my wedding on 8/12/16. He and his team did an excellent job and the food was outstanding. Although there were some communications issues and he was late to the wedding, all things considered, I'd hire him again. How I learned about Navi was through Thumbtack.com. I was searching for a strong but affordable caterer for my wedding and didn't think it was possible due to the low budget we had. I submitted my request through Thumbtack and heard back from Navi the next day. He offered to meet with me and negotiate the price. Navi offered to come to my home and arrived in his executive chef jacket from his "day job" at a local hotel. He presented his ID and business license. Navi was warm and friendly. He asked what kind of food we wanted, and I said Italian. I told him the budget we had and how many people. He said he could give us penne with two sauces, caesar salad, chicken madeira, and garlic bread for 110 people with our low budget. I was amazed. He required a deposit and contract, of course. The remaining balance was due two weeks before the wedding, and we met at a coffee shop. We finalized details then. Navi hadn't been to the venue we used before and said he would go there in advance to check it out. He offered to provide ice for the drinks, which we were providing. I provided the dessert separately. We had our dinner buffet style, and we did all of the table set-up/teardown and provided our own dinnerware and glassware. Navi had professional chaffing dishes and set up the buffet so it was going on both sides of the table for speed and convenience. The food was really good, especially the sauce used for the chicken. The penne was simple pasta out of a box and boiled, not homemade, but the tomato sauce I had with it was good. The salad was excellent with the right amount of seasoning and fresh parmesan. I'm not a fan of garlic bread so I didn't eat any of that, but my guests told me everything was great. Many people got seconds and raved about the food. This was good food for what was expected. Navi told me that he would be at our wedding for 2 hours after dinner started so people could enjoy then he would clean up. My only critique is that Navi needs to improve on communication. I emailed items to Navi a couple of times during planning and didn't hear back. I had to text and ask for confirmation, and he told me he was having issues with his emails. Also, he forgot that in our first meeting, he was including chicken and I had to remind him in our second meeting when he gave me a printed menu and had forgotten it. The other thing I learned from my husband is that Navi and his team were 45 minutes late to the wedding. Navi and Michelle were hands-down the best vendor of our wedding! Navi from the get-go was so easy to work with and we felt like we could have hung out trying his food for hours (and pretty much did!). Everything was very straightforward and there were no tricks. Navi and his team were able to work with our budget and still provide amazing food. Our guests could not stop talking about it and even though we had 12 guests no-show, we barely had any leftovers because people went back for seconds and thirds. Which was a huge bummer cause the leftovers were delightful the day after! We even asked one guest what their favorite part of our wedding was and he said, "Navi's potatoes". We had Michelle from NCK as our day-of-coordinator and she was the only reason I didn't totally lose my mind planning our wedding or on the day of. My morning was pretty stressful until I met up with Michelle at the venue and she completely refocused me on enjoying the moment and reassured me that she's taking care of everything. My bridesmaids all commented on how great she was and my parents, too. My family is pretty rowdy and I was worried they would drive her crazy but she kept everyone happy and kept the flow going smoothly, checking in with me periodically just to see if I needed anything but letting us enjoy ourselves and go with the flow. Everyone told me that no matter how organized I was, a thousand things will still go wrong. I'm sure a thousand things did go wrong, but I didn't know it because Michelle handled everything! I could go on and on (clearly). You have to put a lot of blind trust in vendors when planning an event/wedding, I'm here to tell you to do yourself a favor and choose NCK. read more

Initially, Chef Navi prepared a full tasting menu for us to pick up as a to go order, to comply with Covid restrictions. We had so much fun tasting the amazing food and coming up with a menu that worked for us. They were completely understanding when we had to drastically cut down our guest list due to Covid. Setting up our event was problematic. We had agreed on the menu several months before, but 5 days prior to the event they notified us they would not be able to honor our menus selections or the cost. When trying to resolve the matter they did not promptly return phone calls or emails. Given the short notice, we had no choice except to go along with a changed menu and a cost that was 20% higher than the original agreement. The actual event went off with a hitch. We have never had an event catered before as we come from a large Italian family who takes great pleasure in preparing and presenting our own food. Everyone should be so lucky to work with a catering company like Navi's. The entire staff is beyond amazing and I cannot say enough kind words about Chef Navi and his business manager, Michelle. My husband and I got married in 2022, though we hired NCK in 2020 for our wedding in 2021, that had to move to 2022 due to Covid and NCK didn't skip a beat, they moved with us and honored the contract we originally signed with them. My husband and I had a very specific vision in mind - we wanted a caterer who would grill live in front of guests and would do a blend of plated food and buffet. We started with the wedding menus they had as a template, then they had us to their facility in Lynnwood and made us some of the most delicious food we had ever tasted. They even credited what we were charged for the tasting to the final invoice. We then took that template and made a completely new menu that was everything we had envisioned. In our wedding party we had a Cordon Bleu trained chef who worked his way through the kitchen and into food and beverage management at major hotel brands and he told us what we already knew, the food was legit and his pricing wasn't bloated. NCK was always accessible, communicated well and showed up on time and did everything they were asked and more. They even brought us a gift bag which was just the loveliest touch. We ordered the Christmas dinner for four and it was amazing. Every single course was delicious with obvious personal touch on each order to ensure perfect. We've gotten many to go meals from nicer restaurants during Covid and this surpassed any of those eat at home dinners. Packaging was perfect making it easy to keep hot food hot/cold cold and dressing/etc individually packaged. Quickly plated up a meal that would have taken multiple ovens and all day to make.
