Located at the Waikiki Resort is good for lunch or dinner if you don't like to leave the resort. Had the Naupaka Fried Chicken Sandwich which is a lightly breaded chicken breast, shredded lettuce, pickles and aoili dressing with side of fries. Tasty. Then dinner time I had the the Smashburger, a Double-Stack Smashed Parker Ranch Patties, Swiss Cheese, Arugula, Tomatoes, Smoked Herbed Mustard Sauce, Fig-Balsamic Caramelized Onion. Filling and cooked just right. Dessert was Hapuna Chocolate Tartufo which was chocolate chip cookie with vanilla and strawberry ice cream topped with chocolate ganache. Yum for a birthday celebration. Service with a smile and vibe was cool!

The pool grill Mai Tai was like drinking a glass of juice. Good juice but still just juice.

Food is "good enough" beachside dishes but pretty dang expensive for the quality but you're at a resort what are you gonna do? The real issue is the Mai Tais we ordered. It was premixed orange juice and rum. It was incredibly expensive ($22). One of the hotel bar tenders told me they were supposed to stop doing the premix at this point which is a much better Mai Tai but that's definitely not what we got. The Mai Tai at the upstairs bar below the front desk is much much better. The bar tenders there really take pride in the drink vs this beach grill is more of a "come n getcher alcohol" type of drink.

Ample and tasty Hawaiian Banana Split!

Here we are again....enjoying a fabulous dinner. Betty, our fantastic waitstaff, was very knowledgeable in what is locally grown and how the dish was made. She was attentive and fast. We ordered the fish tacos made with the fresh catch of the day..mahi mahi. Very ample, nicely breaded and delicious. Since we cleaned our plates, we ordered the hawaiian banana split! ALL of the components were perfect and complemented each other. We WILL be back...amd will ask for Betty to complete our experience!

Plain burger. Really dry and no sauces and not much flavor.

This place is a good option of you aren't wanting to leave the property, but it depends on what you order. My daughter liked her smash burger and the truffle fries were great. We usually love sweet potato fries and these were good but not amazing. I ordered the regular burger and when it came it had tomato, lots of onions, cheese and a patty. No sauces or anything! It was really dry and flavorless so I used some of my husband's pickles from his sandwich on my burger for a little flavor, but it was pretty disappointing! My husband liked his chicken sandwich okay. And the Caesar salad was good. We also ordered the nachos and they weren't good at all! It tasted like refried beans from a can, and they used canned cheese sauce on the top with tons of canned jalapeños. They did have a tiny dish of salsa on the side but they tasted like something you ordered from a cheap fast food place. They couldn't have even used real cheese on the nachos?? Not something I'd ever order again. The star of the show though was the banana split we had for dessert. We tried the lilikoi cheesecake and it was fluffy and blah. The chocolate ice cream dish was just okay but we loved the banana split. The vanilla ice cream was amazing, as was the lilikoi sauce they put on there. We loved it so much we came back the next night to have another one.

Had a great dinner here on our first night at the Westin. Our server was very friendly and we enjoyed the ambiance of being right next to the pool. Poke nachos were a great appetizer, and the salads were very refreshing and tasty. Prices decent as well! We enjoyed the banana split for dessert.

I love the Westin and always recommend it to family and friends however the pool bar - do not recommend. The service has been rude on several occasions, I feel bad even mentioning but at this point it has been on 3 different occasions- bartenders and specifically the hostess , a young woman that should really reconsider having a service job. The Ube drink is amazing however will likely not be revisiting due to the attitudes of employees - unfortunate.

Enjoyed lunch here. Amazing views of the pool and ocean! Unfortunately our service was not the best, things were accurate just slow. The fish sandwich was delirious! We also enjoyed the poke and my kids loved their tacos and chicken tenders. Dessert was absolutely amazing! We ordered drinks from here several times during our stay and everything was delicious. We ordered dinner to go and it was also good. - Good food - Pricey - Service can be improved - Yummy drinks - Location!

Every time we come here, my family and I always seem to find something for everyone. My Mom and I are pescatarian, so being in Hawai'i they always have a great assortment for us! I also have stupid food allergies and sadly I'm allergic to monosodium glutamate (MSG) and luckily for me, they spend the extra money and marinate with Tamari sauce! Yayyyyyy! The dinner area is causal and relaxed, since you're next to the kids pool, but the food is pretty gourmet! I also have the assortment of fruit Samoans cocktails they offer, along with having a full bar. Something for everyone here! We're coming back!

It's a beautiful set up next to the pool with a view of the famous Hapuna Beach in the background. We just had the normal lunch food nothing spectacular. I had chicken tenders, wife had the chicken quesadilla, one daughter got a side salad with sweet potato fries and the other had the chicken club sandwich. I enjoyed the Hawaiian banana split. Our server Genalyn was very nice and kept checking on us as I drank probably a carafe of water by myself.

I've been to big island so many times, but I never knew this place existed! We were looking for a beach side dinner to celebrate my birthday. And we heard our favorite server from Mauna Lani moved to Naupaka so we had to check it out. Rhell was attentive and is entertaining as usual. And he made the recommendations that inspired tonight's dinner. Aside from the beautiful sunset and sounds of the waves, the meal was absolutely amazing. Calamari was crispy and plentiful. I loved the light airy breading and it wasn't oily. The fall off the bone tender ribs were so delicious. Classic bbq ribs tray with pineapple coleslaw. A nice touch I must say. But my favorite part of dinner was the pan roasted chicken. The broccolini and carrots were well roasted and seasoned. The buttery soft whipped potatoes were delicious clouds. But the chicken and the au jus were sensational. I wasn't even that hungry, but the portions were nice. And they brought out a complimentary dessert and song for my special day. I feel so special! Directions: Head to Hapuna Beach Hotel, throw the shaka at the security guard at the entrance, and proceed under the highway bridge. There's self parking and valet parking. Make your way down to the pool and it's next to their resort pool.

Lunch here was great! Beautiful views of pool and ocean. Good service. Had the fish and chips (sweet potatoes fries) which was yummy. Everyone else was happy with their food. Would definitely be back!

Honestly this is a great place to grab lunch or dinner if you are hanging at Hapuna beach or staying at the Westin resort. My wife & I had lunch here once & an early dinner once during our stay in between hanging at the beach & pools. Lookout for the drink specials otherwise it's expensive to have a beer or two or a cocktail with your food. Favorite thing I had here was the loaded chicken fries that are a special item. They had pickles, queso, cheese, ranch drizzle, and good fried chicken bites on them. Plenty but enough to share. Wife had an Asian salad here that was phenomenal. If you don't have a car to drive 15 mins up the road north or 20 mins east to grab food from a local small business this is a good option. Also a great spot for watching the sunset

The service was decent. Conor was attentive and provided good service. The food on the other hand was not! Calamari was cold. Poke was flavorless and coconut shrimp were just okay! Hoping for a better experience at breakfast. Was not impressed and for the price!

We went during sunset and it was sooooo beautiful. We ordered: * the 3 dips - loved their muhammara!! Plus the bread is so squishy and soft it absorbs the flavors of the dips so well * burrata salad - very refreshing and well seasoned. I believe it's peach or melon served with it, a very nice touch * grilled octopus - loved the tomato(?) sauce it was served with, and the way they grilled was perfection. Reminded me of the octopus I'd have in Kerekennah, a small island off the coast of Tunisia. Fresh & well seasoned. * Cacio e pepe + chicken: really appreciated how they noticed my husband and I were sharing everything, so they had split the pasta into two bowls. Deliciously made, with it had a bit more sauce tho and that the chicken wasnt so dry. * inside out smores: YUMMY. loved the combo of the graham cracker ice cream with the roasted marshmallow and chocolate sauce + inside the marshmelllw too. In all we spent $190 for 2 people including tax and tip (no drinks). Sure a bit on the pricier side, but we had been spending $90-110 for very average or not even good meals across Hawaii anyways, so didn't seem too bad. Parking is free! Valet only, but give your ticket when you get the check to get a 3-hour validation stamp.

There are a few Hawaiian rums that we like, but the Kuleana rums fall short. They are heavy on alcohol and light on flavor. My husband tried their darkest rum, which is a very light yellow in the glass, very alcohol forward and lacking depth of flavor. I had an unmemorable cocktail. It seemed as though the bartenders were not all that well versed in their own rums or mixology in general. As for the food, we ordered the pork and watercress gyoza and the crab rangoon. Both were lacking flavor and substance...not made better by the lackluster, flavorless dipping sauces. To be honest...I've had better from the grocery store freezer section. The restaurant itself is pleasant enough with a nice bar and the ability to accommodate larger parties. We ended up hopping across the street to have some great cocktails and appetizers and Roys.

I have to dock them a little on their steak. With steakhouse pricing, they weren't able to produce a solid steakhouse crust on the ribeye. Without a crust, the cut ended up a little floppy and watery. The desserts were also a little off. The sauce on the passion fruit cheesesteak was amazing, but the texture of the cheesecake itself wasn't great. Their mint ice cream was also a little freezer burned. Overall you can have a good time here, but I think the pricing puts the restaurant into the elite league, and I don't think they're quite ready to play there.

Rome Meets the Pacific: A Revelation at Meridia…read more There is a specific kind of bravery required to order Carbonara on a tropical island, especially when you are dining with your mother-in-law and your palate is still vibrating from a trip to Italy just a month ago. We had recently dined at a prestigious "Tre Gamberi" trattoria in Rome, so our skepticism was high. We expected a heavy, cream-laden resort interpretation. We were wrong. Under the guidance of Chef Soto, the Carbonara here is not just an imitation; it is an act of alchemy. It is a Roman-meets-Norcia masterpiece--a glossy, golden emulsion of egg, cheese, and guanciale/pancetta, elevated by the earthy whisper of truffle. We were seated at a gorgeous table near the cove often frequented by sea turtles (tartarughe), making this a perfect moment of enjoying a tartufata near the tartarughe. It was, without hyperbole, as good as what we had in Italy. The rest of the meal followed suit in a dizzying display of technique. The Japanese scallops were silken and precise, tasting of the clean, cold ocean. And do not let the whimsical name of the "Poi-cotta" deter you. What sounds like a kitschy pun is actually a dessert of haunting texture and depth--far more compelling and sophisticated than its charming title suggests. Chef Soto visited our table after the meal, his passion for these ingredients palpable. Meridia has always had the view; now, finally, it has the soul to match.
