The woman owner of 20 years took our order and left us to cook everything fresh. We also saw her daughter working hard doing their food deliveries. What a joy to have stumbled across this local gem.

When I mentioned to the staff this wasn't our first time, they lit up, and our server sent over a shot of port on the house as a thank you. That kind of warmth sets the tone for the whole meal. The food is genuinely excellent and inventive without being precious about it. We shared a cheese board with honey, beef tartare with tartare sauce and squid ink crisp, tuna tartare with lime mayo and chili, fried potatoes with aioli and salsa brava, and a cauliflower dish done two ways -- puréed and grilled with ponzu marinade and garlic purée. Every dish had real thought behind it, plates that looked as good as they tasted. The cocktails matched the ambition of the food -- I had a smoked peach drink, my friend had a honey concoction, both well-balanced and interesting rather than gimmicky. Great spot in one of Lisbon's more fun, lively neighborhoods. Highly recommend, and I'll be back again whenever I'm in town.

I love tapas restaurants so I was very excited to try multiple dishes. I love that the bread came with honey as well as olive oil. That was a nice touch. Our first order was the corn ravioli. Amazing!! The creaminess of the corn stuffing mixed with the melt in your mouth pasta was 10 out of 10. I would have a hard time not ordering this every time. My friend ordered the chicken skewers. I found them to be simple but exactly what she ordered. I didn't care to finish them and wanted to save room for a different option. I got the veal empanada and it was delicious. The empanada shell was the perfect consistentcy. It was stuffed with a lot of tender veal. The sauce was drinkable. Since I didn't help with the chicken, my friend was full so that was the end of our meal. I highly recommend others check out this spot!

English language menus definitely help, and so does an establishment that identifies possible food allergies. We made online dinner reservations here for our first night in Lisbon with high hopes of being able to make it til 8pm. HA! Luckily, they took pity on us when we showed up around 6:30. Servers were super friendly and helpful. I was so relieved when they greeted us in English - - my attempt at learning at least some Portuguese failed miserably. They sat us at a table right in the front window. They had a nice cocktail menu - - so we started with the ginjinha cocktail - - so refreshing. Nice sized menu with something for everyone. We ordered a few dishes to share - - all seafood and so delicious. Bathroom is in the back by the kitchen. No problem paying by credit card.

The restaurant was lovely -- sleek, modern, minimalist, with elements of traditional Portuguese architecture integrated throughout. The softly playing background music was English light rock on repeat. Dishes we ordered included: - "Sardinha assada em tosta de broa de milho e salada montanheira" ("Fresh grilled sardine fillet on toasted cornbread and mountain salad") €16.90. De-boned, but not my thing. - "Ostras nacionais ao natural" (Oysters). €22.90. Great. - "Arroz de marisco com lagosta, camarão-tigre, gambas e amêijoas do Algarve (2 pessoas)" Seafood Rice for 2 people with lobster, tiger shrimp, prawns, and clams. €79.90. Great. This came in a covered pot hat the waiter portioned and served. There were about four servings total from this dish. Each serving had a good amount of lobster, shrimp, and clams. My sparkling green wine paired nicely with this dish. Service was impeccable. For example, they: - placed a stool beside my chair to separately seat my phone and camera. - cleaned the tablecloth when my companion stained it with red wine. - held my backpack in a secure room while we ate. I thought the restaurant was a little pushy on dessert. We weren't thinking of dessert because our tourist diet already had too much sugar from too many Pastéis de Nata, but we relented. The desserts, while tasty and sweet, were not memorable. Complementary Wi-Fi is available.
