It's not as big as I would have liked (!) but they do manage to cram in a lot of things in here. Sweets are in huge jars just like the used to be before 'Pick n' Pix' was invented. (Having said that, there is a Pick and Pix section if you desire it, but I personally suggest the jars as they always have the best ones in there!). Starting out as a market garden, this now has shops across the southwest and into Wales. It is everything that us pesky greens keep telling you to buy - local produce without packaging. Even if you are sceptical on that front, by lordy it's cheap! I can get a full carrier bag of the green stuff for a tenner! Try doing that down the swanky farmers markets. This store is quite a big one, with a range reflecting the area it is in - so lots of the basics for a family meal here - potatoes, in season fruit etc. It may be a little more work than heading down to a supermarket, but it really is worth it. Stokes also deliver small boxes if you have trouble getting out and about.

The staff are very helpful and can cut items to your specifications. All items are of very good quality, and are reasonably priced. They are open 6 days a week (check to see the exact hours-they close early on Wednesdays and Saturdays). The shop is located near a bus stop for the 587, 584 and 6 buses.
