Having the co-op just up the road is hugely convenient for when you need to pick up a few essentials and have nothing in the fridge as the co-op does very tasty pizza's - 2 for £2.50. It has a small bakery section, sadly never seems to stock muffins but often has tasty fresh baked goods and hot sausage rolls, meat slices. Its range of fruit and veg is a bit rubbish but as I'm just usually picking up salad stuff to go with my convenient pizza, this isn't really a problem.
It's quite expensive to buy booze here, it doesn't have the special offers on wine that you get in other supermarkets. But then, this co-op feels more like a 7-11 / Spar convenience store than a supermarket. There's a shop I pass when going to evening class that I covet as my local convenience store, it has an old fashioned awning out front. All you have decorating the front of this store is the local youth and a dumpster.
Handy for your bits and bobs, ample parking, the staff here are really friendly and smiley and convenient. Its just a shame it doesn't have more character. read more
