I was a little nervous not really knowing what to expect, but Ellie walked me through the entire process, asked me questions to get a better understanding of why I was there, and answered all of my questions before we got started. She was incredibly professional, compassionate, and personable; it took no time at all for me to feel completely at ease. I had stated that my real problem areas were my neck, shoulders, and upper back, Ellie verified that right away and asked if instead of a full body massage I preferred if she took her time focusing on those areas, which is exactly what I wanted! I walked out of there feeling so light and sore-free, and questioning why I waited so long to try a massage. Overall, I really appreciated Ellie's approach and the atmosphere she created; already planning my next visit!

Nice conversation with John every time - what is wrong, what are you looking for? Any special concerns... and then a wind blowing massage. I came the first time when my back was suffering from post Shingles, and went today after lots of training and working out, and had enough with Ibuprofen. I highly recommend the caring, respectful, thorough, and therapeutic technique. The price was reasonable and bought the 3 massage package for the second time. if you want to send positive energy to your muscles and release those pain spots - this is it. And I am only writing the review because I couldn't find a good massage.

(She had taken all of her clothes off when she got undressed initially and then felt uncomfortable with that and put back on her underwear!) INSTINCT! I think this was somewhat of a "freeze" moment bc she felt uncomfortable the whole time . The masseuse: -did not have her fill out a waiver -made her take out cash from an ATM right on premises- would not accept credit card -burped twice over her face -hawked 2 lugees into the sink during the massage -completely pulled her towel off of her body at least three times during the session -rubbed oil on her and moved it around for an hour (clearly not trained in massage therapy) -straddled her head for part of the "massage" (while she was facing down) -bent her legs up backwards, pulled her hair, twisted her legs, pinched her Achilles tendons, pounded on her back so hard that it hurt -came back into the room while my friend was dressing and asked for a $20 tip -let someone else enter the room during the massage

All five star reviews and I honestly don't think they capture just how crazy good this can be for…read moreso many former athletes and people in pain. I tore my hamstring and it's been a constant battle for the past decade. Run, tweak, rest, run a little slower, tweak, rest. Run a lot slower, and yup, tweak again, and then just sit around feeling sorry for yourself for getting old. Next thing you know, you can't break a 10 minute mile without fear of tweaking again. That's like a fast walk! So I spent a total of 15 minutes being stretched and poked a little. Not sure what happened really. Went downstairs and jogged for about two minutes and I felt fine. I asked how many more treatments I'd need. "Zero, I hope. You should be good to go." So I'm a week out and it's winter here so managed a couple treadmill sessions at the local Y. Didn't want to be greedy, but did some interval training at 8:30 pace and NADA. No tightness. No twinge. Nothing. Pain FREE! It's like voodoo magic. Will try to work my way up, but it's literally the most too good to be true, but it really is true moment I've experienced in a long time! Anyone with that annoying bad tight HAMMY, make an appointment and walk fast! It's CRAZY. I don't even know how else to describe how effective ART can be. Heading over for my shoulder next!

I walked in and she greeted me right away and we spent a few minutes going over the forms I filled out online ahead of my appointment. It's easy to see that Liz is very knowledgeable about acupuncture and the human body. She explained what she would do during my appointment and answered all of my questions. Liz - and the relaxing sounds and decor of her office - put me at ease right away. First - acupuncture! She inserted a few needles in my hands, face, and legs, and left me to relax. I thought I would be too alert to fall asleep, but I got used to the feeling of the needles after a moment, and the next thing I knew, Liz was back to remove them. Next - Gua Sha. Liz knew about my tense neck and shoulders and suggested this treatment. I Googled it in advance, so I knew I'd have a lot of red/purple coloring in my neck and back. I am very red, but it's worth it! My neck and shoulders are moving much more freely. I already made my next acupuncture appointment. Liz has a community room where patients can come for acupuncture with a sliding scale payment, which I think is a great idea. I look forward to more acupuncture and massages, too!
