Brutal...was in from out of town and salons open on Sunday we're limited. Took over 2 hours for a no chip mani and reg pedi and my mani had chipped on 3 nails ...its only day 3 of the manicure. Don't waste your money on a no chip if you want it to last. read more

Unprofessional AF!! Appointment was made for myself and another person on my way to the appointment I was called and informed my appointment time was 15 minutes earlier than the time I was told on the phone. At this point I was 5 minutes late according to the caller and told my appointments had been canceled. This was how I was treated after numerous appointments most of which included a manicure and pedicure and I was always sure to leave a large tip. So, if this is how they treat a loyal customer imagine how they will treat you. Do yourself a favor and find a different place to get your nails done. read more

Two times now that my mom has made an appointment and they have cancelled it on her. The first time she showed up and they told her that they didn't have time for her. The second time they cancelled her appointment when she was 5 mins late. The services have been good and she always tips well but they can't keep their appointment times straight. I really like this nail salon I go to either Mary or Theresa they are the owners and their brother Ben is also the owner I haven't gone to him yet, but I hear he is good as well. The two ladies I have been to they do a great job and very friendly I usually call a day before I want to go so I can be put down for a time to make it a little less if a wait, but usually if you are a walk in it's not extremely long of a wait. Sometimes I will call the day of when they open at 10am to set a time for that day. For no chip it's $35.00 and I feel it's worth it and they will give you a mani as well with the no chip. Some places i have been too don't give manis with no chip. They take their time to do your nails right and each time I have been there I am not usually there more than maybe an 1-1 1/2 I have been at nail salons where it would be 2-2 1/2 hours I would be there. I have been going to this nail salon for years, but I think that I am officially done with them. Some of their technicians do a good job, but they have zero respect for anyone's time. They also show preferences for people who buy more expensive services, and "special customers." These special customers can get in before anyone else, even people with appointments. I'm not sure how one gets to be a "special customer" here, given that I have been coming for over ten years, and I am clearly not one. I regularly have to wait over a half hour at this place, even when they do not seem busy. And they make no effort to finish up people who come together at the same time. One time I came in for a pedicure with my young daughter, who wanted a polish change. I was done a half hour before her because they kept putting walk-in mani-pedi customers in front of her. What this business really needs is a dedicated person at the front desk who is responsible to scheduling. The person who currently does the scheduling also does manicures, and it's clear that scheduling does not get her full attention. read more

I used to love coming to Natural Nails the original Mary retired and I am not sure what's going on there they don't have enough nail techs or they're not allowing the ones they do have to do acrylic nails I got in at 10 AM got into my pedicure at 11 and then at 12 was told that I would have to wait until 2 o'clock to get my fill done which I had put down on the sign in sheet I have no problem waiting I'm usually there for a couple hours even three but to wait in between services is ridiculous because They only have two people who do acrylics come to find out Tracey who was doing my daughters gel manicure does acrylics but wasn't allowed I let him do my fill and he did a fabulous job so I'm not sure what's going on over there but they need to get more techs or allow the ones that you have to do acrylic nails read more

The staff was very nice but the service and quality was terrible. They messed up my nails AND cut me. I went back the next day to get my crooked nails fixed and they somehow were even worse. After I got home I tried my best to fix them myself, which is not something people want to do after spending almost $50. Needless to say they will not be getting my business again. read more

I'm not sure if I've just been lucky enough to get the best technician but I always walk out with beautiful nails. I got a no chip for $40 with different colors on each nail which I think is very fair. I could tell that the technician took her time making sure that the polish was smooth, and she even took the time to wrap the tips so it'll last longer. It's not the most fancy place but the service is good and so is the atmosphere. Compared to "fancier" places I've never gotten better manicures there than I have here. Definitely worth trying out! read more

I took my cousin and my sister to get their nails done, the chairs were full but i didn't expect the wait to be longer than half an hour at most. 3 HOURS!!! 3 hours we waited for mediocre nails. The lady with the tattoo on her neck kept doing other women's eyebrows whilst in the middle of doing my cousins nails. Absolutely awful costumer service. Will be telling friends and family not to return. Also, to do a "matte coating", she used alcohol. Blue nails done with actual matte top coat, pink nails done with alcohol. read more

I had an appointment for Natural Nails. I was at the business along with 7 other customers. I wrote my name on the sign-in sheet and specified I had a 10 a.m. appointment. At 10:35 a.m. an employee came up to me and asked if I wanted to get a manicure and when she finished they should be ready for me for my pedi. I explained to her I had a 10:00 a.m. appointment. This employee never apologized. She said nothing and walked away. I went up to their counter and told them to remove my name since I am leaving. I went to Natural Nails because my salon was closed for the weekend. I would not recommend them. Their prices are higher than other salons in the area ($35 for a no-chip manicure vs. $25), and the service was so-so. I asked for a specific nail color, and they didn't have "sample" nails done, so the woman eye-balled it, and now I have red nails. I even told her after one coat.. I have been going to Natural Nails for about 5 years & the service is always great. Mary, the owner, seems to remember my name (and everyone else's) even if I haven't been there in 5 months! I always request Mimi to do my pedi and 2 week mani, and she consistently does a fantastic job, I have never been disappointed. I went to Natural Nails instead of my regular place (which rocks) for the first time about a month ago,. The pedicure was surprisingly good. They used Aveeno products, gave a decent massage, wrapped my legs with hot towels ... Awesome. I decided to treat my boyfriend to a pedi today, and Natural Nails is close, and my last experience was really good, so I chose to take him there. Unfortunately, it was pretty terrible this time. They assumed we wanted the basic pedi, which pissed me off, because I ALWAYS get the best one. It's the one thing I do to spoil myself. The nailtech cut my toenails super short, my ankles were itching because she didn't wash off all the salt scrub, and worst of all... Her attitude sucked. Gave me the impression that she didn't want to be there, let alone doing my nails. She got halfway through my crappy manicure and I stopped her. We paid the bill and left. I still tipped her, because I understand what it's like to work in the service industry. Sometimes you have bad days, and I get it, but I'll be headed to Portage from now on to Sassy Nails. I request Joy every time I come for both my mani and pedi. I've never had anyone as good as her. I do make an appt every time I come at the time they open otherwise there may be a wait because they do get extremely busy. My advice - make an appointment for when they first open and if you come in a group don't expect to finish at the same times. Once again - not a ton of techs and they get extremely busy. My sister-in-law and I came here to get our nails done before our weddings. I made an appointment a week ahead of time for 5:30 for two mani/pedis. When we arrived they were packed. We had to wait for 30 minutes before they even got started on us. The woman who was taking care of me was focused on doing my nails the whole time, so that's a positive. However, because they closed at 7 and didn't get started on us at the start of our appointment time, my poor sister-in-law was given the manicure bowl to hold in her lap while her pedicure was still being done. Then she had to hold her hand up in the air while her cuticles were being pushed back. When it came time for the rest of her manicure the woman kept getting up and sweeping in between painting her nails. My no-chip manicure had chipped on three nails within two days and my sister-in-laws nails weren't even painted all of the way. Needless to say we will not be coming back. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE these guys!!! Ben and Mary have been doing my mom and my nails for at least ten years. My mom drives from Demotte and I drive from merrillville to get our nails done here. They are so friendly and do an awesome job every time. They're up to date with trends and new products. The whole salon does an awesome job. Their deluxe pedicure is absolutely to die for. They use different oils and sugar scrubs and your skin is so soft at the end. They do awesome designs and have every color you could want. The prices are great and everything is always really clean. first thing, they overcharged me. i put down my tip on my receipt and the total and they charged me $3 extra. they also did the same to my friend. my nails are painted horribly. they did not give me the correct color and they are see through. they polish is all over the sides of my nails and just looks terrible. never will go again. read more

On the plus side, I walked in for a full set shortly before closing and they happily took me. The technician was friendly and sweet. But unfortunately, the acrylic wasn't applied very close to the cuticle and was left very clumpy and wavy. The nails were also shaped kind of square and New Jersey-ish, leaving me self conscious all week at work until I could have them fixed. I went elsewhere. I don't like to complain, especially when people are super nice. Also, the technician looked like she had a nail fungus herself and kept using her fungusy nail to push back my cuticles.
