Burt's Farm is a very popular spot so be prepared for the crowds if you go on the weekend. I know…read moreseveral friends who make it a yearly tradition to Burt's Pumpkin Farm for photos in the pumpkin patch. The pumpkins are well-organized and displayed in neat section making it easy to find a spot for that ideal fall picture. If you're interested in hayrides, they offer them for $7 per person. However, be warned --the lines can get really long, really fast. By 10am, the line stretched across the entire pumpkin patch. The hayride itself was OK. Probably real fun for kids and takes about 10 people per ride. Although I stayed for around 1.5 hours, I never saw the line get any shorter. It's something to plan for if the hayride is on your list. As for activities, there's not much beyond the photo opportunities and the hayrides. They offer BBQ and funnel cakes - none of which I've tried yet. Overall, if you're just looking for a spot to take fall pictures, this is great (albeit pretty far) - but don't expect to spend more than an hour here.

Five stars out of a tiny location packing one helluva punch in regards to beer selection!…read more I was leery of this place for many moons because it looks like your typical ****hole liquor store that pops up in strip malls around this part of the world. Wow was I wrong. I apologize for making this assumption previously. Yes it's a bit small, and it's cramped parking lot is mostly due to Wilkes Meat Market next door, so be patient. I tend to only drink stouts and porters and I was pleasantly surprised at how many varying stouts and porters this little place packs in. A welcome sight from the usual IPA-laden beer stores that pepper the world currently. It's nice that people still cater to "us" out there. I will be back and hopefully they'll have more of the variation that I am raving about now.

You can tell that they enjoy what they do, are proud of what they do and are, most importantly, passionate about what they do! Heck, sometimes if we stop next-door at The Burger Stop to get lunch or grab a few items at Wilkes Market, we'll just run in to say "hi" and give Lady a scratch on the belly...(No, "Lady" is not a female employee that we harass in an odd manner) she's a sweet old Black Lab that you'll find sleeping in an aisle or waiting at the door to greet you! And have no fear, she doesn't bark or bite, she's all love. I can assure you, they will keep our business for as long as we live in the area. Hands down and thumbs up!
