I cannot say enough good things about the Leon's. These guys are the best. The bad reviews here are from a long time ago under the old owners. I go here for Ice Cream all the time for my kids. Super cheap and they give you a LOT! I always have them make me a shake. I also go here when ever I need to ship something. They are always helpful. IT looks a little run down from the outside but stop in and say hello, be friendly and you will be amazed at how friendly they are to you! read more

WoW I am really impressed with the young man named Kings service at Leon's USPS! He has went above and beyond many times to help me find the cheapest way to get my package where I need it to be! He has patiently mailed over 40 items for me with a smile on his face as customers are waiting. He is always concerned with everyone in line and helping to make their experience a great one! My parents live down from there. So when I visit I stop by for different things. The post office rocks! I love the old building it has character, new is not always better. Ice cream is special. This store reminds me of the ones I used to go to in Michigan where you can pick up just about everything in one stop. I experienced good customer service and although I didn't need anything but gas and a snack I did notice the wide range of items here you can buy. I was nearly tempted to get a few scoops of ice cream.This place also has a post office which is amazing lol. I did find the overall look of the place a little run down but it is probably due to its age. If you are in the area you should stop at least once. read more

I so appreciate the Post Office at Leon's, not just because it is convenient but specifically because of the service! Dogs will love the dried pig ear chews available here. There is hand dipped ice cream in all your favorite flavors, a full service post office in the rear of the shop and a good assortment of candy down one entire aisle of the store. I first stopped here because of the post office - no lines, no waiting! I then heard the owner or manager telling customers about his special on eggs. I soon discovered they carry just about everything one could meed to survive a weekend or week. Friendly folks, a unique experience. It is not on my way to anywhere I normally go, but I make the detour just to support these folks. Note that negative reviews are either outdated or written by folks who may not have gotten past 3rd grade. I am frankly surprised they own a PC or know how to boot it up. read more

Leon's is the best shop in town, as a small business owner I ship a lot of packages from Leon's and I've never had one lost, they are sincere, nice and always go the extra mile; just tonight I ran in at closing time and they let me in and sent my packages to ensure they will reach my customers in time. I am only leaving one star today because I hope this gets the attention of the owner. Normally, I purchase whatever I can at this store. The owner needs to speak to or re-train the older woman with the white hair. Maybe she was just having an off day, but really comes off as snappy. She needs some training in customer courtesy and not snap at people. Needs to understand there is a way to speak to a customer without making them feel like they don't want to ever come back. No excuse to mistreat anyone walking in the door. Anyone. Just some re-training, not looking to hurt anyone. Just really seemed out of line. read more

Only in Cumming can you see a sign that lists eggs, milk, lotto, boiled peanuts, bullets, bait and sandwiches! By the way it is also a US Post Office! Gas station meets grocery store meets bait shop meets Post Office meets 'rebel flag license plate selling store'. This is the only place you will catch me buying earthworms in Cumming. Leon's is a little slice of Americana, now run by an Indian family. Can't get more American than that! read more

Typically, if I have a difficult experience at a particular store or location, I give the employee the benefit of the doubt and simply move on. Most challenging circumstances can be resolved by communication and a warm smile. We truly don't know what people are going through and if an unhappy face or curt remark is the extent of what they unable to hold back, I try to bite the bullet and move on. However, today's experience at Leon's was a completely different story that I intend to share for two reasons. Firstly, as a preventative; I don't want people to endure what I went through today-no one should be treated like that. Secondly, as a way of being helpful. I am hoping this gets the attention of the manager since my attempts to help him catch on to his behavior today were futile. Upon arrival, I headed straight for the Post Office section where I went about prepping two items that I needed to ship. From the start, I got very distinct vibes that my presence was an inconvenience to the manager from simple requests about purchasing tape and using the scissors. The whole time his behavior towards me was impatient, rude, condescending, irritable, and honestly unbelievable. When trying to clarify which priority envelope to use, he finished by telling me to put things away in an organized manner, not to mention telling me to go away from the counter until I had everything ready, being upset when there was an issue about the postage which he thought he would have to cover, manifesting irritation at the people who walked in and were waiting just moments before I finished up and informing me I should essentially have everything planned before I came in to prevent wasting things. (The extent of my trash consisted in the tags one pulls off of the priority envelopes/boxes to expose the adhesive). From start to finish, it was a horrific, unsettling experience. I calmly told the manager I would pay for the postage so he wasn't put out then told him I wouldn't be frequenting his location any longer. His response was, "Good, don't come back." Long story short, y'all! I have spent more than enough time working in the human relations and the customer service industry to know that the rapport between customers and business is directly associated with financial success. I hope today's encounter with this manager isn't an indication of where his business is headed financially. More than just being a customer though, I am a person and know that regardless of who you are or what you are living through, respect should be shown to one's fellow men. I feel more sorry for the manager who wasn't able to manifest this basic fraternal attitude towards another human being than for the horrific treatment I received today. Like I mentioned above, typically I just swallow the little inconveniences of dealing with business people-we are human after all! Today however crossed the line from being unprofessional to downright unacceptable behavior and my fear is that others will experience the same if something isn't said. I have told my family and I will mention this to any possible customer of Leon's that I encounter. My intention is that others, especially the manager of Leon's, read this so that hopefully, I will be the last customer of Leon's to ever receive such uncharitable, unprofessional and sad behavior. I had a minor dispute with a transaction here at Leons and I ended up handling it with my bank. The owner gave me little to no information about how to go about handling a over charged fee with my card. Not only was he rude, he hung up on me multiple times. If you are looking to get gas, a snack, a paper or anything as such in this area I do not recommend this establishment. The staff is rude and hasty! Just my words of advice! Leon's is bar none the worst contracted post office I've ever been to. Employees are rude, indifferent, and obviously untrained- I've had packages turned away for nonsensical reasons. Bring your mail elsewhere if you want competent service, I'll be driving an extra ten miles just to avoid this headache of a place. Good riddance! read more

The employees here were extremely friendly, and the customer service was good, but their sanitation skills disgusted me. They made me and my sister ice cream cones and a shake. Not once were gloves worn. Not once were hands washed. The employee was going back and forth between handling customers, and answering the phone while preparing our ice cream with no gloves. Another employee was prepping for breakfast, and was putting prepped food in a customer accessible cooler. Any customer could be touching this food with their bare hands that is too be served to customers in the morning for breakfast. This was my first time visiting Leon's and i would come back, but I'm not sure I would eat anything at this place. There definitely needs to be some type of training with ththe we employees as they were kind, but clearly not well trained. read more
