This huge spring roll is one of the best "not so secret" madison eats! It's so delicious- i love it extra spicy. Also always get avocado!! You will have to wait a bit but it's worth it.

There was a much shorter line here than at the other juice cart. Cash only. Also, no lychee. ( ) The lid on my drink was loose, so it ended up spilling over just holding it. They didn't have any napkins. The service was friendly, though.

Ordered a pink lemonade, was told 15 minute wait and was 24, product they gave me was a mango smoothie. Was also charged $8 while the menu posted $7. Be sure you have the time to wait and go over what they put down as your order before you pay.

That thing that looks like an actual burrito is actually a spring roll and it's better than anything.

I started going my Freshmen year in 2006 and still visit the Smoothie Lady, as I call her, as often as possible 10 years later. I even moved to California and back. No change in optimal deliciousness and affordability. Kim, the owner, is always delightful. Their spring rolls are bonkers - a full salad w fresh avo wrapped in rice paper (legitimately the size of my face, and I have a regular size face, I promise). Can always use extra peanut sauce, but what can't? She makes them fresh to order for you every time. Smoothies are bomb. I usually opt for the mango / soursop / blueberry - because soursop and jackfruit are, apparently, delicious. Can also go super healthy with spinach, carrot, etc. They're on the icy vs total shredded fruit side, which is super refreshing. Had a full lunch w smoothie and monster spring roll for $7 today, can't go wrong. #lifer

Since I found this jewel of a food cart last week, I have been coming once or twice everyday the past week for Kim's affordable, healthy, well portioned, and delicious spring roll burritos, essentially what they are, and fresh no sugar added smoothies. The owner is absolutely delightful and always makes my day. Despite one wommaning the truck most of time she always provides high quality food and drinks at unbeatable prices. Love, love, LOVE this place!

Someone brought me here with the promise of a a "spring roll burrito" and I admit, I was confused but intrigued. This gem of a food cart offers a truly oversized spring roll (about the size of a really stuffed Chipotle burrito) with avocado and your choice of protein for between $3-$4, in addition to a tasty selection of juices and smoothies for a similar price. Inside the spring roll are cucumbers, rice noodles, lettuce, and other delicious, healthy goodies inside! The wait is a little longer than some other carts, as there is only one person (wo)manning the place, but it is definitely worth it!

The spring rolls are delicious and well worth the $3.50 price!

The peanut sauce in the spring roll is so delicious! I ended up getting the mild which had the right amount of kick. I love spicy food and I thought the mild felt like a medium spicy. So for those who can't handle too much spicy, I would get mild. I got the shrimp and avocado and it was so yummy! I can't wait to try other kinds and the smoothies as well.

Love the carts. Pretty much love all the carts. But whenever I eat from any of the carts this must accompany my meal. She has a really large variety of fruits to make smoothies and you can mix and match. There are also non-fruit things that you can add like chocolate but I always stick to the fruit. MmmmmmmMMm.

Kim's avacado spring rolls are super tasty, well priced, and nutritious! Highly recommend to all!!!

One massive avocado and tofu spring roll!

Very good, super cheap, very large sizes (16oz, 24oz), very fast, and definitely all natural. I highly recommend this

I graduated from Madison in 2011 and hands down, Kim's smoothie cart is a must visit whenever I'm in town.

I visited Luang Prabang, a Lao-Thai cart on Library Mall, a few times earlier this year. They had a…read moreregular menu that included curries, noodles, and salads, but also a rotating daily menu, all at very affordable prices. The people working at the cart were really nice and accommodating, and were happy to modify any dish they could for ingredients that you can't or don't eat. The first thing I tried was the squash curry, which was a really generous portion size for $7, consisting of rice topped with a rich coconut milk-based curry filled with chicken, kabocha, and zucchini. It was really filling and tasty. But the real winner from the cart after a few visits was the avocado spring roll, which was $3.50 and the size of a burrito. It was basically a giant fresh roll filled with avocado, lettuce, cabbage, mint, rice noodles, cucumber, carrot, and peanut sauce. We got the medium spicy sauce, and it had a fantastic kick to it. Still can't believe something so large was only a few dollars, as it was such a great deal. Definitely worth trying this cart if you're looking for something to eat on campus.

Classes of UW students have graduated without ever seeing it, and when the weather warms up they can finally enjoy food cart heaven with a lovely water feature view. Lighting is significantly brighter at night now, and the little standing tables they've installed are great for when you want to enjoy your food cart fare without having to balance it on your own lap. In the evenings you might happen across a drum circle, fire dancers, or passionate students gathering for their cause of choice. It's a convenient way to cut through campus, connecting the Memorial Union to Memorial Library and out through to the southeast dorms and State Street. If you've spent any significant amount of time on campus, you've also likely spent a significant amount of time walking through library mall. I was not sure to just review the carts individually, but like the Madison Farmers Market, I believe the whole collection of vendors is part of the experience. The food carts are all placed on the space between the Library and the University Bookstore. Lunch in an outdoor setting and fantastic people watching, occasionally even music. One of the best days I had last summer was accidentally coming across a mariachi band while hunting for lunch. And I never tire of the food. I can sample a new meal each day without trouble. By the time I go through everything available, a new cart is usually up and running and testing out the waters. The longest lines are always at Buraka, Jamerica, and Sukhothai (when they are there). Which is fine, because I can get lunch quickly at my favorites the Local Stanley or FIB's. FIB's used to serve a meatball sandwich with balls the size of oranges. They've reduced them to the size of golf balls, which makes lunch slightly disappointing but is probably better for my arteries. Be warned, currently the Library Mall has gaping hole across most of it where water main work is being done. And campus construction projects always last a long time, making a crowded space far more crowded.
