While not exactly on the scale of a Whole Foods Market, this local grocery store has a decent selection of products at reasonable prices. I happnened to drive past this location and figured I'd give it a whirl. The store is conspicuously located near the convergence of two streets and has ample lot parking. The interior has a nice setup, with produce in front, supplements toward the back, and miscellaneous items oragnized by aisle. I wound up getting a few beverages and a box of Natures Path Cereal. If you're looking for specific health food items not available at mainstream grocery stores, this place is worth a shot. read more

It was 30 minutes till closing time. I went to the restroom. I heard a knock on the door and I opened it and it was an angry woman. She told me that she had cleaner in the toilet (smelled like vinegar which is fine). She had been cleaning the bathroom and that I needed to leave. When I talked to the manager she said she was sorry to hear that and that she would keep my suggestions in mind for the future. My suggestion was - could the woman have waited a few minutes. Another suggestion was couldn't this have waited till after closing time? The manager said they like to get a jump on things. I thought the customer was the priority. read more

A great little grocery store and a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Everything that is sold here is natural and/or organic. They have food, hygiene and beauty products and dietary supplements. The prices are fair and they are always running manager specials for nice discounts. I've gotten some great coupons in the mail and hope they continue. If you register on their website you can get even more coupons. It is a little store so they won't carry everything but is great to supplement your shopping. Also they do not have bags so bring your own reusable shopping bags with you. I suggest giving this place a try. Go and walk around and see if what they offer can meet some of your needs. read more

This was my first visit to Natura Grocers. I really like this store! It's a bit out of my way, but they carry flours I like to use at a very reasonable price. The produce section is a little small, however, they more than make up for that in quality. The workers are kind and friendly. We were asked several times if we needed help and I'm pretty sure each time it was a different worker. I will definitely be back. read more

This is my go to place for anything that's healthy. I found that some of the prices here were lower than Whole Foods and much more lower than H-E-B. I know the cashiers by name and they'll help me out anytime I need and advice on a new product or anything I'm looking for. My kiddos even love coming here as they can usually find something healthy but yummy. read more

Had a great time here at a Keto cooking class. This is my favorite health food store. There's nothing about this store I don't love. Scored some Himalayan pink salt broccoli sprouts and pasture raised eggs. Sounds random but these quality health items are fantastically priced. Natural grocery in Alamo heights neighborhood. I went in to find a great little grocery, pleasantly surprised. Is this Whole Foods? No. Is this Sprouts? No. Are they a big chain? Nope and that's what I like! They have the biggest selection of vitamins, protein, and natural body products. They have good prices and the store is impeccably clean! I don't see any freshly prepared foods and that's probably the only thing I would love to see. Come check them out. read more

Family owned health food store! This place puts the highest priority on customer service. As I walk through the aisles of Natural Grocers, I am always met with a smile, an offer to help find something, employees who are enthusiastically pitching the great products here. The cashiers are always friendly, and ask how the shopping experience was. I was super impressed by their bulk nut selection. They're the only place I've ever seen that refrigerates their nuts to make sure that they're as fresh as possible. The have a great selection of health foods, with great weird flavors. Many of the items are gluten-free or vegan, but not everything. My only drawback is their bag policy. They don't give out plastic bags to take your stuff home in. I guess that's a good thing, since those bags end up blowing around the freeways and clogging up our rivers, but it's hard to carry some of the stuff without one. Fortunately, they have cardboard boxes to use that are always recyclable. If you check out the area by the entrance, they have a little kitchen classroom where they do demonstrations on the weekends on how to eat kale or how to roast tofu. The produce section is small, but they have a high degree of quality, and the ability to buy just one of something, instead of a giant bag. I'm glad to see this store in Alamo Heights, to compete against Whole Foods- they're a worthy competitor! read more

An awesome addition to the neighborhood! We stopped by this morning and everything was fantastic. This isn't a full service store, in my opinion, the produce section is thin and you won't find a huge selection of everything. However, the items they have are high quality. The environment is clean, easy to navigate, and staff is courteous. I love their selection of essential oils, vitamins, and personal care items. There were plenty of samples and unique products that I look forward to trying. This is a great store for people with special dietary needs. There are plenty of milk and wheat alternatives. Most everything is organic too! Keep in mind this store does not provide plastic bags. You must bring your own bag or you will have to purchase reusable bags there. This place is expensive. Most of this products are found at HEB/Central Market or WalMart cheaper. I was in this store for 30 minutes and the staff didn't even acknowledge me, looking a particular thing but then releaizef the staff were more in tuned with whatever text conversation they were having. Will I be back? Not sure but if I wanted organic only produce I might try them again. read more

I enjoy shopping here. They have great supplement selection. They are second to none. I love the small quaint aisles and experience. It is a bit higher than heb but there are trade offs. They have excellent coffee, organic food options and health products. In fact you won't find 2/3 of their items in an heb. They don't have great produce. That is hard to pull off and there is not a great meat selection. They have a reward program and regular discounts that are genuinely worth it. read more

This place is awesome. Everything from their food selection to the incredibly friendly staff. Every time we walk in, we are greeted nicely. While looking at some vegan food options a nearby employee asked if we needed help. We told him what we were looking for...not only did he know exactly what we needed and where it was, he offered other options. He even retrieved an informational flyer regarding vegan diets and supplements. This was above and beyond normal grocery store service. The bathrooms are spotless. The shelves are neat, tidy and well stocked. The store is a bag-less store. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with this neighborhood store. My brother kept insisting I shopped here but I just never made the time. Huge mistake! The store size is perfect for me & very clean. The staff was wonderful, the produce was organic & oh so fresh!
