Never have I ever stopped at a Smoothie King. But my Son's girlfriend assured it would be fine. Then Hesitated Due to 3 Star rating. But it was too convenient to pass up. So, we did ordered a bowl. And a Mango, Papaya, Ginger somoothie 20 oz. Board shows $6.99 the employee did a great job by offering the upsize for the same price... YET, receipt read $8.19 (smh???), not a huge difference but left me very confused.??? The bowl we wanted to sub almond butter for the peanut butter and the accommodated very kindly. That Truly should be an option in everything that offers PB, some folks can't eat peanuts (specifically). Overall Great experience due to Shakira and the gentleman that made our bowl or rather approved of the almond butter substitution. Both should be recognized/rewarded for Fantastic Customer Service! As a result if the service I will be return. read more

On a hot day, like every other day in San Antonio, this Smoothie King makes it very easy to order something and get in and out without any problems. On this particular visit, it took a total of 5 min to get in an order and get my three smoothies (2 Lil Angels and a Pure Energy). The guy that took my order was respectful and audible through the the mic. The kids' smoothies didn't last long, and they confirmed it was because the smoothies were delicious. Mine was good too. I didn't have any trace of powdery taste or chunkiness. If anything I would say it was perfect, but could have been icier on a scorching 100+ day like today... remember, this is Smoothie King, and not Icee King... so, you get a good product that doesn't get left in the cup after you suck out all the flavor. It was the first time in a long time, and it was well worth the revisit. read more

When I'm in the mood of a smoothie, especially post workout, this is the place to go! The staff is super friendly and they are always smiling. I've only done drive-thru but the shop does have indoor seating, which from the window looks really clean. read more

Surprise...surprise! Soooo, I wanted a Strawberry Earthshake, but Earth Burger was closed. I ended up coming to Smoothie King instead. I was going to just grab a smoothie and go, but realized they now have bowls. Pitaya & açaí. I opted for açaí and man oh man! I decided to add banana and holy crap, I hit the healthy dessert motherload. It was truly delicious, a little pricey, but worth it. Try it~ read more

I'm addicted... Daily Warrior, no sweetener. Staff is great, almost everyone has been really cool. They love that I bring my own stainless steel straw... I've been told they are working on having an option to buy a reusable straw from them, so fingers crossed they go that direction. If you didn't know plastic straws are not recyclable so it's best just to say no when they are offered anywhere. Personally, I carry a little bag in my purse with about seven different sizes of metal reusable straws so I'm doing my part to help the environment whenever I can. Matthew has been the best, always enjoy talking to him at the drive-thru. I'm not huge into smoothies, juices, etc... but I'm starting to really enjoy them on occasion and for some reason, this one smoothie keeps me coming back for more. (pretty sure it's the peanut butter.) Now they aren't always the same, some are better than others, but it's all good. $5 Fridays for a 32 oz medium smoothie... and be sure to download the app so they scan it to build up points for discounts and freebies! P.S. The southside really need a Smoothie King... think Brooks area! read more

I was contacted by the relevant leadership of this Smoothie King to give them another chance. I don't always take management up on these offers as some food is too bad to risk a repeat experience. But with our drinks it was a texture issue. Finally a day came where I really needed a pick me up and the Pure Recharge Mango Strawberry was just what I needed. I contacted the manager who'd offered me the redo and it went really smoothly. My companion who picked up the drinks said the girl who made our drinks was really pleasant to deal with and took my comments about the gritty texture seriously. I could tell! The drinks were a touch melty on the very top by the time he got to my work down the road but right under that the drink was nice and icy. Nothing like the loose drink we'd gotten before. We both agreed we were happy with these... taste, texture and pick me up were all there and stellar. I'd definitely give this location another shot. But can they duplicate this experience?! read more

Ordered a peanut butter , power chocolate shake & it was very watery. No thickness to it. It was very busy so we didn't go back to exchange it. Sorry but someone needs to learn how to make a good shake especially for the price we pay. Not returning to this specific location. read more

I keep seeing these pop up so I thought I would give it a try and it was pretty good. Small juice shop feel. Very clean and bright when you walk in. Everytime I go they are busy but it never seems to take to long for my order which is nice. They seemed to be very health nut, whey protien, get your gains kind of place. Lots of protien bars and powders for sale. As well as to add in for your smoothie. Which is not bad but when I asked for just plain fruit nothing added they told me they cant do that. I still wanted to try it so i got Angel Food which has Bananas, Strawberries, Vanilla Flavor With Other Natural Flavors, Nonfat Milk, Turbinado . It was okay, but I wish i could have just got strawberries and bananas and nothing else in it. Other than that, this place was good. If your looking for weight gain, quick meal sub, or just a tastey treat this place isnt bad. read more

I really love this location because of the drive-thru. Unfortunately I came during lunch hours and the service was really slow. To speed up service, Smoothie King may want to consider adding a menu board before the order intercom. Overall my smoothie tasted great and the associates were very friendly. read more

I'm only giving them one star because I can leave a review. Yesterday, my kids were craving something cold because it was too hot outside and decided to treat them to Smoothie King. At the time of our arrival they only had one costumer in the drive-thru window, there were no costumers inside the location. So, we got in and no body acknowledge our presence. We waited for some time for somebody to help us until finally the guy who was taking the orders for the drive-thru came out from the back door, (didn't even looked at us standing there waiting for somebody to take our order), put the monitor on his head and decided to take the order for the drive-thru with a very frustrated attitude, and went back inside the kitchen. That's when a started to feel like they didn't want our business there so we decided to take it somewhere else. read more

You have a nerve to mistreat a deaf. This is copied and paste from a friend. All of you Smoothie King lost me as a customer. Fix this! "My friend who is deaf/hard of hearing just left store #1509 really hurt. He told the staff repeatedly that he could not understand them and relies on reading lips to understand. The members dismissed him as if he didn't matter as much as the "hearing customer" saying that they didn't have time to help him and they had to help others. He is a Camp Gladiator trainer and a dear friend of mine and those in the hearing community need to understand that the deaf/hard of hearing community matter and the little extra consideration that it takes to assist them is not unreasonable but that staff members reaction to his disability is unreasonable. Corporate will hear of this." read more

I am thrilled that a healthy and fast lunch alternative has opened up across the street from my work. This establishment just opened this month and I have been there 3x already. The last time I was in, I was helped by the genuinely nice and friendly, Ashlyn, who is one of the owners. I was having a hard time figuring out what I wanted and she asked me a couple of questions, and based on my answers, she recommend the Vegan - Pineapple Spinach (Pineapples, Bananas, Organic Spinach, Pineapple Mango Juice Blend, Carrots, Lemon Juice Blend, Almonds, Sunwarrior Raw Plant-Based Protein, Stevia-Based Sweetener). It was healthy and delicious. I look forward to being a regular at the Alamo Height's Smoothie King! read more

the manager cursed us out for asking her to fix our order after she charged us for the wrong drinks.

Listen. I love smoothie king. The smoothies are always amazing but the customer service at this location has gone down drastically. The girl who was working the drive thru today was incredibly rude and had a horrible attitude. I get it, everyone has bad days but she took it out on her customers and honestly made the whole experience pretty bad. read more

So I was trying to order but my boyfriend didn't know what he wanted so I asked very politely for more time and apologized. And I said ordered very politely saying please and thank you and then another girl said "we are not going to serve you bye" and I was just really confused because I have no idea what I did...I was just trying to politely order two smoothies... read more

i've only stopped in twice and the quality of the product is good! however, customer service is so awful. the store front could be empty and no one will say hello just walk up to the register and wait for you to tell them what you'd like. also the store smells kinda funky like protein powder and chemicals??? honesty the smell is indescribable read more

Strawberry Banana Activator. I received a redo from a previous smoothie that I was not pleased with and I was completely satisfied this go 'round. The effort made by this location's staff to resolve a problem is top-tier & epitomizes customer service, and I am grateful. I stop by SK from time to time as a treat, as they are not cheap, so leaving satisfied is a must. Satisfaction was obtained. Well done. I'll be back & I'm sending my friends, too. read more

I used to come here out of sheer convenience, this was the best location relative to me, and they usually got my order right. However, there's been a sharp decline in the quality of service I've received each time I've come here. The workers are unpleasant, rude, and in my latest experience, very petty. I'm hard of hearing, deaf in one ear, and as I struggled to hear the employees voice through their intercom, I asked them to speak up. Instead of trying to accommodate, the employee seemed to shove the microphone to his mouth and shout as loudly as he could. Left after that. Very unnecessary. Won't be coming back unless the staff gets a serious attitude check. read more

I've been here 3 times and Every time I've come through the drive thru. They have made my smoothie wrong every time , I don't even ask for anything specialty or anything added just one that's on their menu already. The last 2 times I've been here I've asked about snacks and have ordered peanut butter pretzels, the last time I was here I paid for them and didn't get them. Now today she handed them to me after paying for my order, then insisted that I didn't pay for them and that they needed to do another transaction for the pretzels ... I politely handed the pretzels back and told her I don't have time for this. Its ridiculous, I waited at the menu for a solid 10 mins before someone took my order than another 15 mins waiting for it with no one in front of me, for them to always get it wrong and miss stuff. I spent half of my lunch break just waiting for my drink UNACCEPTABLE read more

It took 45 minutes, a messed up order, confusion on a refund, and rude attitudes to fix a simple 2 drink order when there was 5 employees staffing the smoothie line. I have gotten the Keto Smoothie a number of times in San Marcos at the Smoothie King there and have never had a problem with my drinks. So disappointed. I'll stick with San Marcos‍ read more

The Angel Food is my go-to smoothie from here. The 5.00 20oz which is reasonable however I got hungry about 2 hours later (pretty normal). I think next time I'd add some protein powder to it but I love the creamy consistency that it provides. I don't add in the extra fruit because I don't think it needs it. Drive through is a bit difficult to navigate but overall, convenient location. read more

This is absolutely the worst location with the worst customer service. The manager and general manager are extremely rude. I ordered from their app with my location on it ordered at a different location and they refused to sort it out on their end telling me that I had to re-order and pay for another smoothie and cancel the other locations and have it refunded. During this whole confrontation they were extremely rude and demeaning towards me and their entire staff's stood at their little window and scoffed at me. Not how I would run a company over a seven dollar smoothie read more

The only reason why I post a two star review is because they can't seem to get rid of the ugly, two- car sized pothole at the entrance of their establishment. The hard part is that it's directly off the access road, so you pretty much have no choice but to go through the death pot hole(s), or, illegally how through the taco cabana parking lot. Your choice. read more

I ordered my regular smoothie with prenatal vitamins, given my happy condition. The woman working the drive through window (I should have asked her name) was informative. She kindly let me know the sweetener in the shake I ordered wasn't recommended for pregnant woman, offered another and joked I shouldn't have too much of it. I hadn't known about sweetener restrictions, but she was absolutely lovely about it without being intrusive. It's rare to have someone comment in a gently informative way, instead of a haughty way or a starkly judgmental on how you are handling your pregnancy. So many thumbs up for letting me know and wanting the best for baby! read more

Meh, it was my first time at a smoothie king and I asked for suggestions. The staff was sweet alas not very helpful and I could tell they were annoyed when I got to the window. I've worked in the service industry and I understand the frustrations. I also know that it's simple to give new customers recommendations based on some ingredients they enjoy. They also wouldnt use a personal cup I brought to cut down on plastic waste. Again I've worked in the industry and this is a common thing people do (not the staff's fault, prob some corporate nonsense). Won't be back. read more
