I did competition bbq for many years and have eaten at the best bbq restaurants in the country. I can tell you the brisket at Native Smoke is as good as you'll find anywhere. If the beef ribs aren't sold out when you get there- you just won the beef lottery. current favorite item is the bologna- so good, and my current favorite meal is 1/2 lb of bologna and 1/2 lb burnt ends. Last time I was there I tried the fried catfish and it was legit. They do fried chicken now and I want to try that too. It's run by super nice people. Highly recommend! read more

James has wanted to stop at this place, for a long time. He read a review on it in an Oklahoma magazine, as being one of the best barbecue houses. As soon as we walked in, the staff was friendly and outgoing towards us. I decided on the fried chicken and it was pretty amazing. There was hardly any batter but fried crisp and super tender on the inside. James got the fried catfish and he said it was really, really good. We also got a cowboy corn nuggets, which is batter, with cream cheese, jalapeños, and corn inside and then deep-fried. They were delicious. So if you haven't tried this place yet, you definitely need to put it on your list. Get over here and try it out, you'll like it. read more

When we showed up only had 50% of the meat options available which understandably they work until sold out but it was a disappointment. Sauce was good, but meat soaked in grease. This is a fabulous food truck run by a really sweet couple named Jenny and Phillip. They're based in Fletcher/Elgin, OK area but they were set up today in Medicine Park, OK and apparently set up throughout this region. They regularly set up on Fridays in Elgin and you can follow their Facebook page to see where they'll be next. I hope they'll be back to Medicine Park soon! This is basic BBQ food and sides. They had picnic tables set up around the truck, I took our food to go. I almost drove past it but decided to pick up dinner when I saw they were open. We tried: brisket, pulled pork, and smoked sliced chicken breast. It was AMAZING. You can tell this food is made with love and a talented cook. I especially loved the pulled pork, husband loved the brisket. Chicken was super flavorful and juicy. The chicken and brisket come with a slice of white bread, the pork was on a soft bun, it also came with pickles and potato chips. They also sell homemade sides (baked beans, potato salad, etc) which I'll definitely try next time. Wish I took photos of our food, we devoured it! I wish we could keep them here in Medicine Park but I'll be sure to follow them wherever they go, food was outstanding! Yum! read more
