Seems like the bike clientele has abysmal experiences, or this clientele is a bit hoity toity because idk, for me, it's pretty hard to give 1 star ratings. But I can't speak to the bike dpt as I wasn't there for bikes. Needing some hiking gear for an upcoming trip, I went upstairs and Tommy was quick to see if I needed help, even while he was helping someone else already. He was really nice and helpful in finding a comfortable, sturdy and safe pair of hiking boots. I then went on to buy some clothing and the ladies around the fitting room were quick to let me in. The only negative part were the darn mosquitos at checkout but is it even an outdoor store if it weren't for the mosquitos? (Yes, it could be :P)

We were searching for a Lakers jersey and the clerk said they had one they just sold. So, as far as selection goes they didn't have too much. They did have a lot of hats/caps and stickers for your car, etc. It seemed like they had a lot more football jerseys than NBA jerseys, too. The clerk was very friendly and tried hard to sell us on what he had so I give them some props for salesmanship. If they just could clean the place up a little and maybe make it a little brighter it would probably have more appeal. I'm sure they could have ordered something for us but since we don't live in that neighborhood we wanted something right then. If you live close by and are looking for something in particular and they don't have it, it seems like they'd be more than willing to make sure you get it. For what we needed though it didn't have a great selection.

I needed 4 kids' t-shirts during this holiday season to arrive much more quickly than I thought due to one child's tragic medical issues. 5 year old with incurable brain cancer and on 1/5 he would be receiving his 30th and last radiation treatment. It was a lot for an adult to endure and he had gone through 29 without a single complaint and no sedation. He loves orange, so his parents asked all friends and family to wear it that day as would their son and his 3 very young siblings. I sent a message to League Outfitters explaining the situation and how much it would mean to this incredible warrior of a sweet kid and his courageous-beyond-words family to get those orange T's by 1/5. On 1/5, I received a note from the family that they were delivered and so very much appreciated. I can't thank League Outfitters enough for caring. On the day this child "rang the bell," he wore his new orange T. His journey ahead is an arduous one, full of challenges for him and all those who know and love him. I know he'll be rocking this T along with his brothers and sister many times. Thank you again, League Outfitters.

This is 7/25/2013 Purchased a pair of Rockport shoes from Nash's Sports located at 701A Lenfant Plaza, SW Washington, DC 7/29/2013 Wore shoes to work. The back of the shoe dug into my ankle and took a chunk of flesh. Had to treat ankle and put a band aid to stop the bleeding. 7/31/2013 11:00 A.M. Went to the store in person to return the shoes. The person in the store advised that the policy is that once the shoes have been worn even only one time, there are no returns or exchanges. He advised that I could speak with the owner but he would not get to the store until 3:00 P.M. 3:00 P.M. I called the store and spoke with a rude employee. He said the owner might get in at 4:00 or whenever. I asked for the owner's name and he said Nash, Mr. Nash. He went on to angrily quote the store policy to me and yelled since you now own the shoes if you cannot wear them, donate them to charity and hung up. I called back and spoke with George. I tried to get the name of the person who hung up on me and he said there was no way he could tell, there were 3 of them in all and he was not sure who it was. I explained my situation and George said he was the person I spoke with in the store earlier that day. He said the owner was not in yet but it was best to not call and see him in person. I advised that made no sense because no one could say for sure if and when the owner was coming in and I would have to keep going to the store multiple times in hopes of catching up with the owner. George re-stated what the policy was and said he did not have the authority to override it, only the owner could. Cool, but not since no one wanted to take my information to get back with me and only Columbo could catch up with Mr. Nash!

Before making the trek over here, my friends and I looked online to see if there were whistles to be had any where near where we were. We weren't having much luck until this popped up. We made our way over here and into the store. Trying to figure out where whistles would be in a sporting goods store is not fun. Every single sport they represent could be a possibility of that location. We wondered up and down aisles in hopes that they might be with the soccer gear, no luck. Basketball gear? Nope. Hidden in the back corner of the store? Why of course... We see the whistles, grab our twenty and head to the register. The guy ringing us up must of thought why are we buying so many. Then when the total came up, something wasn't adding up. Even with simple math it wasn't correct. Then we noticed that the amount per whistle is not what was listed on the many pegs we just cleared back there. We let the guy know that each peg we pulled from was a price less than what was in the system. He got on his walkie and had a back and forth with another employee who persisted that the price it is ringing up is the price. We protested, as we (four of us) all told him the price is not as marked on the peg. They were hoping that we wouldn't care much, but one of my friends went to the back corner to meet the associate and point out where we grabbed the whistles from. Once she did that, they honored the priced from the numerous pegs. Crazy situation, but when you buy twenty of something, the price difference definitely stands out.

One of my credit cards added a benefit of a $75 statement credit every quarter to lululemon so I decided to take advantage of the perk, since I pay for that membership fee! Of course parking is rare in DC so hubs parked up the block illegally and dropped me off. I have only ever been to one other location so I did not know what to expect. As I walked in, I also did not have any idea of what I wanted to purchase so I was randomly browsing the store. I started to pick up items I thought I might like and would try on. There were no staff by the fitting rooms and they were open so I took it upon myself to enter and try my items on. The fitting room was spacious enough, with several places to hang clothing and a stool. Trying on clothes is a workout so I usually purchase items and return them if they do not work out. Since lululemon's clothing works a little different for me, I decided to try them on this time. I did decide on a pair of wide leg pants. I found the right size but not the color I wanted. When I was leaving the fitting room, an associate was there offering me assistance. She took the items I didn't want and looked up the pair of pants I wanted. Unfortunately, this store did not have it but she informed me they can order it and ship it to me. They did not seem work $128 but I did like them a lot. She also helped me at the register and ordered the pants for me. I did not catch her name but she was very helpful, personable, and friendly. I will be back!
