I will NEVER use this place again! I was a long-time customer, for over 15 years; when I dropped off a huge comforter that needed repairs, I was told I had to take the comforter to the tailor they used, EVEN THOUGH I WAS PAYING NATIONAL THE REPAIR FEE! Though the tailor shop wasn't far, I am disabled & have mobility issues & walk with a cane. I said this to the employee, who told me that that she couldn't leave the store b/c she was there by herself. There were 2 people in the store, which I also pointed out, & she said, "She's leaving." She wasn't -- she was unloading one of the machines. I said, "Well, I shouldn't have to take this to the tailor, I'm paying YOU. Why can't you take this to tailor when there's more than 1 person here?" She said, "It's not our responsibility to take repairs to the tailor." I said, "It IS if I'm paying YOU for the repair." Her response? "You can walk over there. It's not that far." I asked her if she'd make me go over to the taylor if I were in a wheelchair, & she said "Yes." I said, "I'll take the comforter myself to the tailor, but I'll never use National again." Her response was, "FINE!" I'd used National for all my dry cleaning AND repairs before, for over 15 years, & had no problem. The employee was a long-time employee, who had waited on me many times -- so she knew who I was & that I am disabled. If I'm paying someone for a service, I do NOT expect to have to do their work for them! And I DO not expect such RUDE, INCONSIDERATE, ARROGANT behavior. And this employee was treating me in this manner in front of other customers. National apparently doesn't care about losing long-term customers. They certainly lost this one! read more
