But desperate times (and a bedspread too much for my washer at home). ‍ I read such great reviews for this particular laundromat in Bayview. Quick jaunt from the East Side to this laundromat. Very clean, bright, free WiFi, space to sit, and plenty of machines. The price for washing and drying my bedspread seemed very reasonable. An easy, rather quick, and smooth process compared to when I used laundromats regularly. I also from street parking ridiculously easily right in front of the shop. Do not be fooled by the good reviews. First time using a laundromat so maybe I am bias but there is mold in almost every single washer. It is very obvious that no one cleans these washers or even checks them. Most of them have hair or tissues and gum inside of them or they have mold in the detergent dispenser. It was impossible to find a clean washer I ended up only finding one that was okay looking. Heard this girl say there were a pair of jeans in a washer for over three weeks. Most washers had discarded wet clothes in them and smelled like they had been sitting there for months. It costs 3.25 to do your laundry in a dirty washer... added more photos since the owner wants to lie about them cleaning machines. Ask the people who come here every week they will tell you the truth. - added even more photos of only in service machines because the owner is and saying they are all photos of out of service ones. Wish he would have just apologized and ensured someone would come and properly clean the machines instead of lying. read more

A lot of laundromats I've been to have broken machines, trash everywhere, weird smells, and generally are more stressful than they need to be. This place though? None of that mess. It's well kept, clean, machines in working order, and helpful staff. There are plenty of machines, in varying sizes, to choose from. The bigger the size of machine, the more cost efficient. Free WiFi, a TV, soap dispensers, coin exchange machine (for customers only), snack machines, some arcade games, and plenty of seating and folding stations with laundry carts. Between the security cameras, the owner being around, and the friendly patrons, I felt safe doing laundry here as a solo woman. I did have an issue with one of the washers, that's fine, stuff happens. What I thought was great was the sign by the coin machine that allows you to scan a QR code that will generate a text for you to fill out and send to the owner to report any issues. Reporting it was super quick and easy and the owner was quick to respond and get me a refund. They mentioned they do customer appreciation every week with donuts for the customers. I think that's amazing and it's clear from the great condition of the place that the owner really cares about making this laundromat a good experience for all. Keep up the great work :) read more

Is it weird to rate a laundromat? Our washer was on the fritz and I weirdly really enjoyed doing my laundry at Bayview Laundromat MKE. It's clean and has all the usual necessities. What I loved is that it seems like a local gathering place. Two families with young kids did laundry and had a little picnic while they waited for the clothes to be done. Two moms chatted about their experiences raising young kids. It was a really positive, uplifting experience and my clothes got clean in the process. read more

Met the owner. Super phenomenal, hardworking man who cares about his business and his community. He sometimes hosts events at the laundromat for certain holidays. They have a few 6x load washers that save so much time (usually only takes 30 mins) and I never have to do multiple loads because of them. Owner said he will be adding more of those types of washers eventually! read more

What a great place. Clean and well-maintained. When the new owners took over, they replaced every dryer and high capacity washer. They recently replaced all of the other washing machines and repainted. This is a great place if you need to spend some time away from home to do your laundry. read more

I was nervous after reading some of the reviews, but needlessly so. It was super clean, and the owner was very friendly. I got change for a 20, and used pretty much all of that for my loads between the washers and dryers. I used the 2 large washers to wash 2 comforters, 2 sleeping bags, and a camping pillow. The 80 lb dryer had everything completely dry in a little over an hour on high heat, and I probably could have taken it out sooner. I went at like 5:30 and it was pretty relaxing. I didn't see anything about wifi, and that would be the only thing I wish I had available so I didn't have to use my Hotspot. read more

The Bayview Laundromat is clean, quiet, and staffed by friendly owners Rae and Damion. I drive in from Mount Pleasant to use the large capacity commercial washers and dryers to clean my comforters and heavy blankets. I stop by on a regular basis, and it's always a pleasure. I walked in at 6:57pm and was told "I'm closed" by a man sweeping. I asked for clarification because the door I had just walked through showed they closed at 9:00pm, with the last load in by 7:00pm. He said no, I won't be done in time. I asked why they have a cutoff time if it's actually earlier than what's on the door (and online) and he simply told me I wouldn't be able to wash and dry my laundry in 2 hours. I had planned to only use a washer because mine is broken at home, but my dryer works fine. Once he learned this, he said I was definitely able to do that and I could go ahead and start my load. I told him I'd be going elsewhere and left. It's a very small laundromat with no parking lot. I lucked out finding a street parking spot out front, but with parallel parking, it took a couple of minutes. Maybe if I had arrived 5 minutes before the apparently arbitrary cutoff time, I would have been fortunate enough to use his machines. Bummer! Won't be back. read more

I had a great experience here! I came in on a Friday morning and it was only me and one other person there so I was able to get my clothes washed and dried fast! I am a full time student and I thought the prices were fair and reasonable especially for those, like myself, that like to separate clothes out by color and fabric/style (athletic, dressy, casual). The owner also came in and was very nice and helpful! He helped me with the dryer and showed me how to use it. This was my first laundromat experience on my own and the friendly environment made everything less intimidating. read more

I love this laundromat!! truthfully, we came because we saw The Sopranos themed pinball game in the window lol but overall i was blown away by the cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the owner who was present. we arrived at 6:45 so we were cutting it close to the last load at 7, but we were able to get all of our laundry done and be out around 8:30, and did not feel rushed by the owner. i think this would be a great place to bring your kids because there are arcade games, vending machines and a little lego station. i will be back to play sopranos pinball read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!! I read a lot of reviews before coming here. But I honestly love this laundry mat and the cleanest one I've been to in a 5-10 mile radius. He does have a sign that says last wash at 7pm but you should probably come at 6:30pm the latest other wise he will not let you in. He does want everyone out by 8pm so he doesn't really close at 9pm. I have no problem with his time restrictions because I usually come in the mornings when it's calm and quiet. It's always quiet which is another thing I love about this place. No screaming or crying babies. I've witnessed him clean out every washer machine. Even when the person just took the clothes out he goes and sanitizes it before the next person can put their clothes in. Keep up the good work. read more

Clean, spacious, nice machines and big huge machines perfect for washing blankets. Literally everything you can think of is here. Wifi, bathroom, vending machines, tvs, even places to sit! The building owner, Steve, introduced himself which was nice. We came here to wash our blankets that smelled like our furry friends. It was quiet on Saturday morning so we got in and out. The blankets are fresh and clean now! I recommend this place to everyone and anyone that needs to do laundry outside of their home. read more

I come here on occasion to wash bigger things (like comforters) because it's easier to do here then at home. There are different sized washers & dryers to use. If you don't have any detergent or anything, you can buy some. There is also a change machine, where you can get change for up to $20.00 We haven't had any problems with coming here - so we will be back! read more

I really like this place for doing laundry and am here a couple times a month. The owner is always there cleaning and making sure it's a nice environment to wash clothes, and he is very friendly and will great you when you arrive. First time here & I have to explain. I just moved here from VB so idk if this is a fair review. Place was clean, not crowded. I did not see any attendant nor did anyone welcome me. My opinion, wayyy over priced. Also, I didn't locate a parking lot. I had to park on busy street which makes it a pain trying to load bags of laundry inside. Agree with the others- it's a very clean place! The owner wears a firearm at all times, which makes me worried about if it's safe to be there. More importantly, the sign says 7:30 last load, but when I went at 7:20, the door was locked, others were inside doing laundry, and the owner shook his head at me and walked away. The equipment here is very nice. It is a little pricier here though than I've seen at other laundromats. Just so you know. Also for your enjoyment, vending machines! And, a coffee-dispensing machine! Very nice, clean facility. The owner seems to take a great deal of pride in the laundromat which I appreciate and respect a lot. I was greeted as soon as I entered, which was nice A woman with two little girls was doing laundry and he gave them little tiara toys. He noticed I was grading and asked how my students were doing. Easily the priciest of laundromats I've used before ($2.50 for the cheaper washer, about $1 for drying each load), but how do you out a price on not wearing smelly clothes? It's impeccably clean, well maintained, and missing most of the random drama you find near the cheaper, campus-area 'mats. Although you are giving up on girls in yoga pants, so I guess you have to prioritize. Machines were all in working order, as were the vending machines (Red Bull, in case you need that extra push for folding it all before you leave), and they even have the old Cruisin' World racing game. Which, if you take the time and complete the entire thing, puts you in a race on the moon as a final bonus. (My friend and I spent something like $12 each to accomplish this like 18 years ago) I will point out that the street parking outside is a one hour limit. Watch out for those damn meter cops. read more

This is the only place that I will do my laundry! The machines run well, the facility is always clean and well kept up, and the free wifi is an additional bonus. There are also vending machines available to fortify one for the laundry task at hand. As a college student I feel very comfortable working on my homework here. The prices are reasonable. They may be a bit more than other laundromats, however, in this case you truly get what you pay for. The owner is consistently around to offer help and I've talked to him a few times. He seems like a decent guy who is intent on providing great service and maintaining a pleasant environment. I've done my laundry at a variety of places around the city and this establishment is the best that I have encountered thus far. I know that I will be back time and time again. read more
