Sending proof of ID docs is impossible... via email they never get them, via fax is always engaged. Its a nightmare.

MPower Energy has taught me so much over the past month. I have always been interested in…read moreconserving energy, so it's only natural I would take a liking to MPower Energy and their renewable energy products. Not only their products, but the assortment of knowledge they provide for free on their blog and website. I learned so much about conserving energy from reading their posts that it got me even more confident in renewable energy as a whole. So I reached out to them to schedule an appointment with their sales team. They were able to schedule a next day appointment, and the next day the sales representative showed up on time. I gave him my energy bill and he explained how renewable energy products could cut this bill by at least half. That's definitely something I was interested in. I know more than anyone that energy conservation is the cheaper route long term. Eventually, saving energy pays for any renewable energy expense by itself. So I agreed to the conditions of the contract and we went from there. Fast forward a month later and now I'm already reaping all the benefits of going solar. I am very satisfied with this company and their ability to be transparent regarding their procedures and renewable energy products. By the time I signed a contract, I was already sufficiently educated enough to feel like I was making an informed decision. The information on their website plus the explanation from the sales representative was perfect for making my final decision. Thank you for standing behind renewable energy, which is something society needs more of a pull towards. I recommend MPower Energy to anyone who is interested in energy conservation and taking the power away from their utility providers.

Stop coming to houses after business hours. Very unprofessional making people feel uncomfortable…read more If you are going to go door to door doing within business hours. Leave flyers with all the information. Stop pressuring people. If I say I don't want to apply then say thank you and leave, waiting around giving excuses or trying to ask for someone else in the household to speak to because the person decline is fucking ridiculous.

zero stars. This place used to be called Columbia Oil. Stay away from these clowns…read more We used them years ago on the advice of the landlord. she said they always come on time, do a little maintanence etc and when the bill gets up to say $800, you make your payment as you would with any other company with which you had an account. We took over the contract from the LL. Soon we were unceremoniously, informed that "all tenants are C.O.D." Caveat emptor indeed! simply unbelievable. Had I known that I would never have made the arrangement. I remember Freezing on Christmas.

How does an *average* supply rate of 24 cents per kWh for electric sound to you? If it sounds…read moreinsane, then you would be in agreement with the Con Ed representative I spoke with when canceling my service with Columbia Utilities. Caveat emptor certainly applies here, as I signed up with this outfit a while back and never paid any attention to the rate I was paying, only to the total bill including delivery charges. Con Ed is currently charging 8 cents per kWh. When I called to ask why in the name of all that is holy would they be charging me 3 times Con Ed's rate, the representative did nothing but tell me that I could cancel at any time. It struck me that she knew full well that they were nothing but thieves without a mask and gun. Unless you're Jesse Pinkman and find it too onerous to throw all your money out your car window onto the street and need another way to waste your money, stay far away.
