Upon giving him my name for a pickup, it was obvious the effort to check the knee high bin was too great. Minutes later he returns, sliding me a number on a piece of paper like some bizarre negotiation, "That's what this is going to cost you". the number was about 10 times higher than the generic, so I inquired about that, seeing as how I received a call from that very pharmacy telling me my generic prescription was partially filled and will be ready the next day. "we don't get that" he replied. "you don't get that now, or wont be getting that again?" I asked. His response obviously annoyed "we don't get that". Even though the person who called told me they did, and the pharmacist I spoke with previously told me they could get it with a days notice. I inquired about the partial fill the other pharmacist offered. Clip on said, "its going to take at least 10 minutes" . Sure, Ill wait. You better believe i stared at him the entire time. Upon his return with my partial fill, I asked him what I can do differently to better prepare before arrival to pick up my prescription. "nothing" he stated, "there is nothing you can do", "People chase this (eyeing me with a disgusted look)" He was implying that I was somehow abusing my prescription and he was on to me. "you can call and we'll have it and some other person chasing this will take it before you can get it". I let him know it was a pleasure speaking with him, he didn't feel the same. Previously I've struggled with this Pharmacy filling prescriptions where they've blamed my carrier (who had the error log and it was in fact on Nutmeg's side) and provided me false information "your insurance will not cover generic, only name brand" all due to high staff turn over and improper supervision and training. It's unfortunate, as in my household there are (sadly) 3 people requiring medications both regularly and ad-hoc. We would much rather support a smaller business than throw money at CVS but with this treatment, why would I return? Hell, I can fill this at Costco , munch on a $1.50 hotdog and pick up a new flatscreen. Do better Nutmeg, your clientele is aging out and you should be kind and unassuming to all your customers. To Clip-on, I hope you cry into the day old lo-mien you eat for dinner. Other people aren't the reason you are lonely.

Besides making routine prescriptions easy to manage and obtain, we also got our Flu and Shingrix vaccines there. When getting the first Covid 19 shot, they were the first to successfully direct us to a source, when all you could get during the initial rollout anywhere were busy signals or "no appointments left". They have been excellent in dealing with insurance companies and the complexities of dealing with the Oncology Dept of a major NYC hospital. We haven't thrown them a curveball yet they couldn't hit. Their prices are competitive but you won't get the same level of service at any price. It also has a wonderful gift shop that always has interesting gifts. Supporting KFP also supports a local business (not funding the acquisition of a major insurance company) and nourishes our community. I encourage everyone to fill their drug store needs mindfully and consider the gem that is KFP.

There was also someone on the phone swearing out one of the pharmacists and she handled it so gracefully and calmly, I've got to commend her because she just kept repeating that's not how you speak to people, she's a real person and not an automation, and to please stop swearing. More recently I have found that when my prescriptions were complete, the text messaging system drives us crazy to pick up but then, when you drive down, it's likely the pharmacy staff won't be there. Once, I arrived at the store at opening (as advertised online and on the door of the store) and the place was empty except for myself and another annoyed patron who drove down only to find that the pharmacy was in fact closed and there was nobody to inquire as to what was going on. That day I made three trips to get one prescription, 8:15 am and then 10:30 am and was able to ask the person at the register when I might be able to pick up my order. They said, I don't know, maybe after 12 noon? I actually found them open at 3:15 pm. Yesterday I went at 8:30 and the same happened, four patrons, no staff and pharmacy closed. Clearly, there had to be someone there because the door was open and the lights were on but everyone who purchased anything used self-check out. Went to pick up groceries, came back, same thing at 10:05-I'm done! I will be contacting CVS Corporate and letting them know that they should note on their site that the pharmacy may or may not be open depending on whether the employee's decide they wish to sleep late or show up at work. Either way, I'll be sourcing a new pharmacy tomorrow morning. Someone should make this establishment aware that they won't be in business long if they continue to do what they are doing and I'm sure Corporate will love to hear that Salaries are being paid for people who don't even put in the hours for their wages.

I left a voicemail no one called so I called the pharmacy the next day, it ended up the driver claimed he pounded on my door then shoved them in the mailbox and didn't tell anyone to alert me. I was suffering all night and little did I know the flipping pills were outside and one of them is a controlled substance if someone stole it I prob couldn't get replacement.
