My tax is pretty simple as I only have 1 job, 1 house/mortgage, and 1 child. As a matter of fact, Brian got it done in 15 minutes! As I was paying for the service at the front desk, the next client went into Brian's office. Yes, they have 15-minute time slots. This year, I paid $250 for my simple tax. So, if my math is right, it's $1,000 per hour! I know Brian doesn't get all of that, probably not even close to half of it, but it's still outrageous. Now I'm convinced I can find someone who can do my simple taxes next year for less. PRO TIP: There's no coupons available this year (Tax Year 2021) unless you're a new client.
